Maybe you didn't read all of the review.
As you did not address the way we were greeted originally by the front of the house. They were very disorganized. Obviously, when we gave our name for the booth reservation we had made; there was some kind of seating issue. Which happens and is understandable but ,the way they handled it was inappropriate. They turned their backs to us without saying please wait a minute or please excuses for a minute while we figure this. Maybe even offering us to sit at a bar while they sorted things out would've been acceptable. Then they started talking low and whispering between each other with their backs turned to us. They were whispering for what seemed like eternity occasionally looking over their shoulder at us glancing back occasionally. They just left us standing there while they went back-and-forth whispering and discussing whatever issue they were having for about four or five minutes. We didn't know what to think. They didn't say please hold for just a minute or anything they just turned there back's to us and started talking and whispering . Then the gal that was in charge or the lead had one of the other hostesses take us out to the middle of the dining room to a table. At this time we told her that the reservation was made for a booth. She then told us to hold on and left the standing there with the whole dining room looking at us confused as we stood there while they were dinning for almost another five minutes. That's when finally we were seated and things went better. and that's why I left you guys a good review but it would have been nice to know that you at least acknowledge that something should've been done differently. At the very least an apology would've been appropriate. Especially after we left you a great review despite the embarrassing ordeal from your front of the house hostess staff. I felt that the chefs and the waiters shouldn't have to pay for three hostesses that were somewhere out in the field. Obviously they We're on the same page as whoever reviewed this. Be the first to ReplyExpensive and surprisingly bland.
Started with the clam chowder. The clams were rubbery with only small slivers of potato. A bit watery to call itself chowder. Bland. Ordered the coconut shrimp with fries entree. Barely any fries - I wish I had taken a picture. Imagine a toddler grabbing a handful if you will. That's how much you get. The shrimp didn't taste like coconut at all. Just boring and again, bland. Husband and I each got a bowl of the chowder and we split the entree - $60 for us. The cool thing is the big fish tank in the middle. It's a classy place and pretty inside. But the food doesn't match the decor sadly. Disappointing and I'm unlikely to visit again
Be the first to ReplyService was amazing.
All staff were exceptionally polite and welcoming. The fish tank in the middle sets a unique atmosphere. The food was excellent. Highly recommend.

Easily, the best service that we've had in our five days day! Bonus, a great happy hour menu with a front seat view of an awesome fish tank! 4-6pm Happy hour menu range in price from $7-$9-$11 appetizers and full bar choices.
Be the first to ReplyChart House exceeded expectations.
Food was well prepared and the wine list is impressive. My martini was perfect. Our server was top-notch. The restaurant has high-end decor with an impressive fish tank. Overall this was a great experience.

It took us awhile to find the Chart House at the Golden Nugget, we walked through the hallways and passed every other restaurant BUT the Chart House, when finally a very kind employee pointed us in the right direction and THANK GOD they did! We arrived at the most beautiful bar and lounge with a GIANT fish tank behind the bar at HAPPY HOUR!!! Not only that, but when we arrived, they had exactly one, fantastic and comfortable table open! It was as though they knew we were coming! The Happy Hour here is spectacular; I got a beautiful and delicious sangria for $7 and my husband got a Margarita for $8. For bar snacks we went with tuna nachos and ground chicken lettuce wraps, which were generous and delicious at $8 each. An all around win! If you are out on Fremont street on a weekday between 4-6, 100% check out the Happy Hour at Chart House inside of the Golden Nugget!
Be the first to ReplyThe food was some of the best I've ever had.
Appetizers salads, main course and desserts all first grade we had an amazing sushi grade tuna with a kimchi sauce as an appetizer we had the 16 ounce lobster tail that was perfectly done. The mahi-mahi with a macadamia nut crust was delightful. The mud pie, and New York cheesecake were fantastic. The giant Fish tank was just great to watch.
Be the first to ReplyEnjoyed dinner here last night.
The service was top notch. Our appetizers and main course were served fresh and cooked perfectly. The vibe was spot on for a good meal and the fish tank in the center really set the mood. Over all a great experience
Be the first to ReplyLas Vegas location.
This was good service, and good food. It lacks in ambiance as it's very bright in lighting, but is made up for in service and quality. The aquarium is very large and a nice view while eating.

Stopped by their bar after watching a video on vegasstarfish 's channel. What a delightful place with great ambiance. You get to watch a big fish tank as you drink and the drinks themselves are delicious and fairly priced. Huge shout out to our bartender Tiffany! What a sweetie and she makes amazing drinks. Will definitely be back on my next trip.
Be the first to ReplyExtremely disappointin.
The shrimp were over cooked and my lobster was under cooked. My $28. crab cake had whole cloves in it, who does that? I wanted to taste the crab, not the spice rack. the server was friendly but not very attentive. I would choose another option.
Be the first to ReplyCalled ahead to make sure they had prime rib.
They said yes & they had none. Talked me into a burger instead which was dry and tasteless.

We we're looking for a nice steak that wouldn't completely break the bank in Vegas. Whoops. Awful service, very mediocre cocktails. Steak was...OK. But way over priced. Fish tank was cool. You can do a lot better by spending another $15.

We went here for the first time to celebrate my husband's birthday. We were seated in a booth right next to the aquarium which was a plus. We each ordered the swordfish and it was delicious. Mine was grilled and his was blackened. The fried calamari was outstanding, as well as the yummy lava cake we had for dessert. We will definitely be going back in the near future.
Be the first to ReplyThe food and drinks were fabulous.
Our server, Sharon, was superb. The ambiance made for a relaxing meal. I would highly recommend this restaurant to all my friends and family.
Be the first to ReplyFirst, let me say, this place is beautiful.
I just had the best birthday dinner!!! Everything was so delicious. Our server, Rob, was first class. Great recommendations, Rob! Thanks for the amazing service. The coconut prawn app was the favorite for the table, and honestly, the macadamia Mahi with sticky rice was soooo good. Highly recommend the Chart House!

While roaming the Las Vegas downtown area we ended up at Chart house in the Golden Nugget. My wife and myself decided to sit at the bar top because of the beautiful view of the aquarium. We were greeted by Amanda and Maggie. They were a ton of fun, knowledge about all the fish in the aquarium and best of all gave us top tier appetizers and food recommendations. To start it off we had some of their specialty cocktail's. The Rose'loma was my favorite. We had two appetizers and let me tell you if I come back I'm getting them again. The crab cake was perfect, and the octopus from the Belly + beast was perfectly cooked with an amazing chimichurri sauce drizzled on top, it also came with a side of pork belly that was fabulous. For our entrees we went with the 10oz prime rib. Medium well of coarse. Which was cooked perfectly and served with a side of garlic mashed potatoes. For our second entree we went with the Seared Ahi. It was served with furikake rice, wasabi cream and a ginger soy sauce. Tasted amazing. For dessert the mini lava cake was delicious and perfect size after all we ate. Such a great dinner and amazing service by Amanda and Maggie. Definitely will be finding myself eating here again
Be the first to ReplyI have dined at different Chart House restaurants over the
I have dined at different Chart House restaurants over the past couple decades and have always had a good experience (especially recently at the one in Portland, Oregon). So, when my hubby asked me where I wanted to go for my birthday, I decided on the Chart House as it was close to my work and convenient for a Monday night. (I also had a $25 birthday credit in my Landry's Select Club app.)We had reservations for 6:00. I got there early and grabbed a glass of wine at the bar. The bartender was friendly and the wine on happy hour, so that earns the one star. I checked in with the hostess when I got there and asked if it was possible to get a table by the aquarium, she said she would put us on the list. My hubby arrived just before 6 and we let the hostess know we were both there and ready when our table was ready. The hostesses were not friendly and just did their job (although maybe not, as I would think being friendly and welcoming would be a key part of their job...). We got sat at 6pm at a booth facing the aquarium (this was really the only other positive, along with the bartender). I did include in Open Table that we we're celebrating a birthday and if we could get a table by the aquarium it would be appreciated. I had not eaten much for lunch in anticipation for my birthday dinner, so we ordered right away, as did the table in front of us that was sat just after us. This other table received their appetizer, meals, paid their check and left before we ever got our meal. Before ordering I asked if they did anything for birthdays and the waiter said they have a mud pie that they give out. I ordered a 3-course meal: clam chowder, miso maple glazed salmon, and lava cake. My hubby ordered the coconut prawn dinner. After about 10 minutes we received the bread basket, and 5-10 minutes later I got my soup. The chowder was good, but there was not much of it. A bus person came by and cleared the soup dish as well as the bread basket. Our server decided to drift past our table about 30 minutes after we ordered and asked if I had gotten my soup yet; I said yes and he said good. About 15 minutes after that he drifted by again and said that our food should be out soon, I mentioned that I hoped so... We were never offered more bread while we waited, which I would have expected, especially with how long our meals were taking. We finally got our meals at 7:06. My salmon and green beans were lukewarm and the flavor was not great--quite unexceptional. The last time I had salmon at a Chart House (in Portland), it was so good that I had to return the next week with my husband for another serving. I ate my dish because I was very hungry at that point and did not want to risk sending it back and waiting another hour for my dinner. My husband said his prawns were good, but not great as he would expect from the CH. We finished our dinners and about 15 minutes later a food runner brought the lava cake and a melted small slice of mud pie, stating "this is what we give for special occasions." Our server stopped by a few minutes later and said the mud pie was complements of the CH. Throughout this whole, almost 2 hour, experience a manager walked by our table several times. I tried to make eye contact with him, but he avoided it. My hubby got up to use the restroom and on the way back stopped to talk to the manager and shared our extremely lackluster experience. His first question was how many people there were in our party. My hubby responded with 2. Then the manager asked if there was someplace we needed to be (i.e.--were we in a hurry?). After my husband said no the manager just said "sorry." Unbelievable! MWe live in Vegas and I had hundreds of amazing restaurants I could have chosen for my birthday dinner and unfortunately I chose the CH. Honestly, I wish I had just gone home and opened up a can of chili and poured a glass of wine. It would have been a better meal and I wouldn't have had the feeling of utter disappointment, disrespect, and regrets over money wasted on a unexceptional meal.
Be the first to ReplyThe service was outstanding.
Donnie was fantastic, knowledgeable, patient and courteous. The food was exquisite. We enjoyed everything we ate.
Be the first to ReplyWe stopped by for Happy Hour on a Thursday at 4PM.
The small bar was empty. We grabbed a couple seats and ordered drinks. The menu was interesting. I saw Tanqueray listed for $7 during HH, so I asked if I could have it on the rocks. No problem but a $.50 up charge for a heavier pour. $7.50 for a Tanqueray martini, a no brainer. After a bit, we ordered the ahi tuna nachos and the tempura calamari and veggies. Both were excellent and beautifully presented. The ahi came with two sauces, a wasabi cream and a kimchi cream. The calamari also came with the kimchi cream. It's worth noting that the bar area filled up quickly so go early. But we highly recommend stopping in for Happy Hour.
Be the first to ReplyThe experience was not as nice as one would hope.
Sat at nice booth in a great spot. As we ate, the shrimp and scallops were very good. The paneed chicken was also cooked well. The waitress was kind. It was a bit disappointing to be asked if there is anything else we needed (not by the waitress, but possibly the hostess) and then told that they had other reservations that needed to be seated so we were asked to leave since we were done. We were in a conversation and other tables before us were still there. Being a table of color, we were dressef nice and to be veterans and be treated that way is a bad look on the restaurant. (Failed to mention), I did say something to the possibly, male manager upfront in a suite and he didn't say much. Hopefully this will improve in the future.
