Beautiful interior, good food & great location
Lovely little place tucked away on a corner in Belgravia. Feels like you're at a NYC restaurant, in a good way. Equally good for a business meeting or a date.
Be the first to ReplyGreat place!
Great cooked on premises Italian food, some dishes are to dye for as long as you like Italian food. Service is so-so, kinda delayed if you are used to the American fast way of serving customers. . Expensive as the entire neighborhood is, after all this place is 10 min walk from Buckingham. Will definitely recommend it
Be the first to ReplyFancy but relaxed
I treated my brother and his teenage daughter to a fancy lunch before they set off to the airport via Victoria. We had a super time. Ambience, food and service were excellent. There is something for everyone on the menu. I think my niece will remember it as part of a special trip to London. Thanks!
Be the first to ReplyNice but disappointing service
Had a lovely experience here first time we went - lovely food and attentive service - and received an email inviting me to rebook ‘via a special link’ to ensure ‘I would be very well looked after’. Sadly the second visit was disappointing. There seemed no acknowledgement of me being a return customer despite my invitation. The service was average, we asked for water that never appeared and waited quite a while to have plates cleared etc. Something that annoyed us a little was being asked, ‘would we like spaghetti with the chicken Milanese?’ and then finding out it cost £13 extra on the bill. The service charge was also 13.5%. The soap and hand cream had run out in the toilets too. When we said that we were a little disappointed with the service given the promising email invitation and how much we had spent (£250 btw two), we received a really defensive response, being told that the the staff are overworked, and others had spent more than us as ‘this is Belgravia’. We were offered a final digestive on the house after giving the feedback but we declined. Unfortunately I don’t think we will go back now, after initially thinking this would become a local favourite. However, the food was nice and we did get a good wine which was recommended.
Be the first to ReplyGood location
I stopped by there after daily walk around, ordered carpaccio and gin tonic, carpaccio was good. but the service and the staff were bizarre like i was here for free. I passed several times in 5 days during my stay but never stopped
Be the first to ReplyDid not honour £500 credit promise
As a frequent customer, I had hired the Belgravia venue for an event in March 2022. The cancellation policy did not have a clause covering COVID-19-related cancellations, so I asked for an exception. They confirmed in writing that I could use the down payment for one month in the event of a COVID-19-related cancellation. The venue was booked based on this understanding and a down payment of £500 made. The event sadly had to be cancelled on short notice due to COVID-19. Citing "having prepared the food in advance, and after a rocky few years for the hospitality busines", Chucs decided not to honour their contract and did not allow me to use the £500 credit they had previously agreed to. I strongly recommend against doing business with people who cannot keep their word.
Be the first to ReplyOverpriced coffee
Nice place on a busy road though and spoilt when 2 small Latte's cost £9.08 including the compulsory service charge (for coffee's!!!)
Be the first to ReplyFab food lovely service will be back
Stumbled upon Chucs whilst walking round Belgravia the good choice on the menu enticed us to book ..fantastic food and service
Be the first to ReplyGreat place for a dinner or just an apero
My wife and I stopped by after a long day exploring London, just had an apero there so I can't comment on the food but cocktails and wine selection is great. Our waiter was extremely friendly and we had a great time thanks to him.
Be the first to ReplyWorst service ever, so disappointed
Worst service ever. We were on the tables outside and nobody came to our table to assist us. We had to go get the menu by ourselves after waiting for 20 minutes. The waiters were chatting inside the restaurant most of the time and barely did their job. I almost thought I have to make the food by myself! There was no effort put into the food and the plates do not match the price at all. We also had to go ask to get the bill after waiting for another 20 minutes. Would not recommend.
Be the first to ReplyAmazing Dinner
We had a lovely dinner outside and it was so delicious. The cocktails, the appetizers to the main course. It was a dream to have such a dreamy meal while people watching.
Be the first to ReplyWorst service in london
The service was so bad (and rude) we felt it was a joke. Overrated, expensive and pretentious. My pasta was uncooked, they hated me for sending it back and made me wait half an hour to have it back. When we complained they said "it's your fault, now you are at the bottom of the orders list" unbelievable. The two stars (instead of one) is because they discounted the drinks without us asking for it.
Be the first to ReplyHungry and disappointed
Overrated - that's the words I'd use to describe this place. Looks very nice from outside and inside, but the food leaves a bad taste. I've had a chicken with salad + lemon. Chicken was stiff hard to cut into and was undercooked on one side. Salad was just few leaves heavily coveted in lemon. And lemon was just lemon. I didnt feel welcome, maybe cause we looked like a tourists and didn't have a reservation, dunno. Overall bad experience, I'm hungry and it costs too much for so little.
Be the first to ReplyA delightful hideaway
A very stylish establishment, and a haven from the bustle of central London. A splendid menu - the steak is recommended - with excellent service to round off the experience.
Be the first to ReplyDisappointing
Disappointed in service, food, and response when disappointment expressed .who would want another main course if you found original dry and chewy. Disappointed maitre d’e didn’t offer a sweet, coffee or a drink in compensation.
Be the first to ReplyWarning: £5.11 for a flat white
Lovely little cafe with tasty excellent food that I’ve used regularly in the past. However I was just charged £5.11 for a simple flat white (I think the .11 is the final twist of the knife) I’m still in shock - jeez

Chucs had a fantastic, happy, buzzy atmosphere when we visited for a late Sunday lunch. Groups of different sizes and ages all seemed to be in for the long haul, enjoying cocktails, pizza and wine as the afternoon whistled away.
We ordered a virgin mary, delicious although rather small, and a bottle of the Gavi. The staff were very understanding when the pinot grigio which was sent out first, wasn't to our taste and happily replaced it with the gavi. We shared a plate of truffle arancini (not on the menu, but make sure to ask for them), which, as usual, were to die for. For mains we ordered two margaritas, with a special request from myself to have anchovies and olives on as well - a request the waitress and chef happily complied with. The pizzas at Chucs are absolutely delicious, you'll eat all the crusts so that nothing is left over at the end. £108 for a starter, two mains, a virgin mary, bottle of wine and a coffee in the heart of Belgravia is great value. The restaurant also accepts (well-behaved) dogs, and were very accepting of our 2 pugs, despite them causing a bit of a distraction in the restaurant with other guests coming to pet them all the time. We had a fantastic trip to Chucs, spending over 2 hours over lunch, with fantastic food, helpful staff and a fabulous atmosphere.
When looking for a last minute happy, feel-good Sunday lunch, we're glad we landed on Chucs.
No. No, no, no, no, no!
Most things in life have gone downhill and I'm increasingly finding that when it comes to the concept of 'value for money' I rarely get it these days. I'd booked a table for four at Chucs Belgravia thinking that it might be reasonably good as somebody I know had already experienced it and while I wouldn't say that I trust their culinary judgement 100%, I thought I'd roll with it and see what happened. Well, not much is the answer to that, nothing at all in fact.
Chucs has an air of 'exclusivity' about it, located on a corner site at 25 Eccleston Street, there's an almost 'pubby' vibe to the place, lots of wood and mirrors, and as I took my seat I felt like I might be about to enjoy a decent meal. I wasn't paying so I didn't want to go over the top and chose a pizza and a non-alcohol beer. My companions chose a Marguerita pizza to share and a pasta dish along with a glass of tap water, some kind of fruit-based soft drink and what turned out to be an awful Bloody Mary style beverage (also non-alcoholic) but far too spicy for its own good. The person who ordered it didn't bother finishing it and nobody else was keen either.
Let's start with the pasta dish. My companion said it was chewy and, to quote her exact words, 'it tasted like sick'. The Marguerita was burnt on the underside and my rather cheesy pizza, a Pizza Bianca I think it was called, was, well, too cheesy, a heart attack waiting to happen, but I managed to eat it all (I don't believe in giving up, unlike those I was dining with). The pasta dish was hardly touched, the Marguerita was knawed at, burnt crusts were left on the plate and one triangular portion remained untouched at the end of the meal.
I really can't say I was happy. The service wasn't that friendly either but they did take £12 off the price of the meal for that burnt Marguerita, bringing the bill down to just £55. But that, in all honesty, was far too much and I must say that I find myself getting angrier and angrier with the UK foodservice industry as they keep throwing what I regard as sub-standard operations at me and expecting me to pay through the nose for what is essentially rubbish. £55! That would have bought me a feast in a less pretentious establishment, but the pretence at Chucs wasn't the image the restaurant was trying to project, it was the food offering itself, they were trying to pretend this was top-end cuisine, something 'a cut above', but it wasn't anywhere near a cut above anything.
I won't be returning to Chucs and would rather have a Wispa Gold if I'm starving to death and Chucs is the only option open to me. I don't know what the problem was, perhaps they were trying to be too 'adventurous' with the style of food they were offering. Who wants a Pizza Bianca overloaded with different cheeses? Who needs an overly spiced-up tomato juice or a chewy pasta dish that supposedly tasted like sick, and what about that burnt pizza? No, this is wrong. Wise up, restaurateurs, produce simple, decent, tasty food and offer friendly service and a fair price and you'll get good reviews.
The UK generally is going down hill and Chucs is symptomatic of the problem; we're all expected to pay through the nose with our hard-earned money for food that isn't that good. I left feeling unsatisfied and a little angry. This is not an isolated case by any stretch of the imagination. I've sat down for many a restaurant meal and left feeling short-changed, it's got to stop.
Chucs gone down the hill
The breakfast at Chucs has deteriorated so much. The service was surly and unfriendly. The hot chocolate was nice but that was really the extent of the compliments. The egg white omelette was watery and so salty it was bitter. The side of sausage produced one single sausage not well grilled. Disappointing.
Be the first to ReplyBeautiful breakfast in Belgravia.
We stumbled upon Chucs whilst walking to Elizabeth street in order to see the Christmas decorations, and were extremely lucky to get a little table for two without a reservation. We ordered a couple of the breakfast/brunch meals and some coffees. Everything tasted so fresh and delicious, and the serving staff were flawless. The interior was gentle, stylish, and a pleasant to sit in. Really enjoyed our meal and have vowed to go again to any of the Chucs in London when we are next there (we had no idea it was a chain!). The one and only tiny negative I had was not being asked if I wanted ice in my orange juice, and it came with massive blocks which left me fishing them out resulting in less than half a glass of actual juice.

Lovely restaurant and welcoming staff. Our first time in London for awhile so looked up the restaurant. 5 star recommendations and uplifting words, so booked a table as not far from our hotel.
Food was not that great, sorry to say. Chicken escalope was burnt and hard. The person bringing up the food stood with the tray in centre of the tables aka Manuel from Falty Towers, not knowing who had ordered what food. He may be knew so I wish him well.
Sweet of two blobs of ice cream came with a large spoon as if it was the last one in the kitchen.
Many people were inside when we left, so popular
hopefully it was just a bad night.
I wish them well.
Brilliant food and very attentive
Brilliant food and very attentive service. The staff went above and beyond. Great to see such nice places are still around.

It was good to be able to sit outside.
The white wine wasn't really chilled enough.
The Burger not really hot enough.
Friendly and attentive service.
Delightful desserts.
Overall 5/10.
Pizza heaven
When there's every table sat at outside, I think, this must be a good place. When a restaurant is packed with people inside, it's fair to guess, this must be a good place.
I was right. The staff were polite, friendly and well organised. The restaurant was clean and spacious.
Most importantly, was the food. I had the pizza Margarita. It was perfect. I can understand why there was such high demand for a table. The pizza was delicious. The base crispy. The tomato sauce was obviously freshly made. It was rich and sweet and the cheese had the perfect taste and gooeyness. Highly recommended.
Rubbish service and last time will be using
Can not recommend. Work very near by and booked for a post meeting dinner. Been before for coffee and breakfast meetings no problem great team. So disappointed and irritated - manager was so rude and off hand, team on the whole lovely but no idea. Food average, two dishes cold, crap excuses about how to cook pasta, not a single apology or effort to sort out - just generally crap food, appalling service and as a firm in 25 Eccleston Yards who use all restaurants locality will not be booking this one again - Never again - so irritated.
