I had been to the other location "Cinnamon Bazaar" before
I had been to the other location "Cinnamon Bazaar" before and came away impressed, so decided to give this new location a try.I should say, this is not traditional indian and more fusion or modernized as you wont find many of the classic curries on the menu: Nothing wrong with that though. We decided to sample a few dishes, the Bombay Street Food, Vegetable Cake, and Char Grilled Cauliflower. Â For the main course i had the King Prawns in tumeric curry. Â All of these dishes were phenomenal, a true modern unique twist on Indian cuisine. Â Definitely a must visit.

It is more of a modern twist on Indian food in the Battersea area of London.  They have a 9 course tasting menu that is 37.50 pounds per person which I found very affordable for what you were served. It came with a Mango sour cocktail.  It was phenomenal and I don't even like Mango.  So good, I actually ordered one.  I never would have tried it. Every single dish was great.  Standouts were the Tandoori Chicken Breast and the lentil dumpling.  Definitely do the tasting menu while here.

Gordon Ramsey devoted a whole series to this amazing eating culture. The cuisine which is a delicate dance of heat, sweet, sour, smoke. Â When I think of Indian, I think of mouth blistering vindaloo, sublime dosas, smoky tandoori, complex curries, cool raitas, pungent pickles, and depths of flavor. Â And im here as a tourist in search of great Indian bites. We showed up at the shores of the cinnamon club and because they were "full" were suggested to this restaurant. Â Maybe its a hustle who knows. Â Anyway, after a taxi ride we arrived at this wonderful location. Â gorgeously decorated restaurant and tasteful. Â Great smells coming out of the kitchen and wonderful attentive staff. Â The drink selection was also vey nice and everyone at the table liked their drinks. Â However, the food. Â This is not right folks...... no, it wasn't horrible -the prawns were too salty- but that wasn't it. Â The food was sad. Â It was a travesty. Â It was lost somewhere in a hipster vibe and a small bite. Â It was Indian spiced and nothing else. Â Forget the price! Â The food was "bloody sad". Â The kitchen is beautiful. Â So how could this come out of the kitchen? Â Disappointment on a plate. And in a city that should have such a high bar. Â I felt like I was in a tourist trap but there are no tourists but my small group. Â I had the lamb appetizer- ho hum. Â Someone ordered the sea bream- he said it was good. Â The chickpea gnocchi- a fried chickpea square in a mildy tangy sauce. Â My tandoori chicken was moist but so plain. Â The sauce underneath, indiscernible. Â Again, the prawn over salted. Â The biriyani- the same accompanying rice with a few additions, stuffed in a small pot, and baked. But this isn't Indian, its a shame. Many words come to mind that I didn't have the courage to tell the great and helpful waitstaff- flacid, sad, so so, heartbreaking. Â I lied to them when they asked me how was it- it wasn't their fault. Â But my friends were not bothered. Â First Indian food for one, another asked if there were noodles in Indian food. Â I mean after all, we were headed to Cinnamon Club. Â Maybe lunch is better, maybe they are new, who knows, maybe im being too harsh. Â But this was disappointing and because my stomach and heart hurt from this place representing a food that is so beloved, I must write this review. Â So Cinnamon Kitchen, you get a five in hopes that others go here and review your food. Â Hopefully, with some feedback you'll be encouraged to put some respect on Indian food! Â Change up the menu, find a new chef, and get to your roots. Â The location, service, and ambiance are great. Â You get a five because this food has such a rich history that is absent from this restaurant and you could make this better. Â You get a five because an app shouldn't determine success but be a helpful way to improve. Â Please do better for your next guests.
