Keep trying to give this place a chance , their scene is great but the food sucks these last few years ! They can't even tea right ! They have this cheap no flavored tea bags that are either old and stale or just really cheap.. so don't get tea it tastes like just hot water . The pasta dishes have no flavor you have to ask for a bunch of grated cheese just to get some flavor going . Guys please do something about the food !

It should be criminal to call what they served me "spaghetti carbonara". For a NY Italian restaurant, I would expect that a traditional dish such as carbonara would be executed correctly, boy was I wrong. It was served in a thin sauce that pooled on the bottom of the bowl, and sprinkled with peas and almost raw onion. The meat was definitely not pancetta. And there's no way there was fresh egg used for the sauce as there was zero creaminess to the consistency. It was like a broth. The price was outrageous as well. Rename the plate to something else. It is a disgrace to call whatever I ate carbonara. Waitstaff was whatever. I don't think they asked us once how we liked our meal. Front host was a bit rude- which I can handle if the food was good. Only positive is that I was taken here for a corporate meal so I didn't pay the bill. I just feel bad having recommended it, as I heard positive things about this place. I would never go back or recommend. Oh, I also had the tiramisu which was meh. I have high standards for Italian food but this place is so far below the bar for me.
Be the first to ReplyBeen here multiple times.
Always lively, service always on point and food never disappoints! The brick chicken was so crispy and flavorful... it will now be a regular go to!

Stopped into Cipollini after a fun day of shopping and was very disappointed by the service. After inquiring for seating for 3 he proceeded to ask if we were "nice people". Baffled by the response we asked what he meant and he proceeded with " we only seat nice people". I will never step foot in this establishment again!

CIPOLLINI IS THE BEST!!!! The food is delicious, the staff is congenial and act as if we're long lost friends, and the best part is actually the ambiance. It's always lively and joyous and it never fails to lift my spirits after a hard day at work.
Be the first to ReplyI haven't been to a restaurant in the Poll Restaurant Group
I haven't been to a restaurant in the Poll Restaurant Group I didn't like. Toku and Bar Frites have been favs of mine for a while BUT Cipollini is definitely a making its way up the list. This spot is located in the Americana Mall on the Miracle Mile (yes the one Billy Joel sings about). One of the things I admire about the Poll Restaurant Group is that they know their audience. You come here if you want an upscale meal. Wait staff adorn classic waiter uniforms and there is a ton of staff ready to come at a moments notice. I just so happen to do lunch here with a friend and it was HOPPING on a Thursday at 12:30p. The dining area was 75% filled but we requested a table in the back where it was a bit more quiet. As our lunch progressed this area began to fill quickly. As for food we started with a regular pizza to share. Our mini plain pie came out hot and ready to eat, almost too hot, and it was delish! The crust was nice and thin but crispy. Not to diverge too much, but also the bread they start you out with on the table is rustic and hearty. It goes great with the olive oil that resides on each table. But don't fill up, because each pizza I saw brought out looked better than the next. Slightly satisfied but still wanting more, we decided to get salads to close out the meal (ok maybe we did things backwards, but we are adults and we can do what we want). I got the Antipasto Classico, which came with roasted peppers, cherry tomatoes, two pieces of buffalo mozzarella and a ton of prosciutto. which made me feel like I have died and gone to heaven. My friend had the seafood salad, which I was fortunate enough to try and it was super light and fresh! All in all a great experience and another win for the Poll Restaurant Group!

For an alleged nice establishment, Hector who answered the phone and provided an unnecessary sarcastic response, is quite low brow and rude. Tried making a reservation and was told to "come in the front door" first come first serve. Simply stating the restaurant doesn't take reservations would have been sufficient before being hung up on, Hector. Learn how to communicate.
Be the first to ReplyBy far my favorite restaurant in Americana.
Everything is always great. My go to's are always the same every time. 1. Margarita pizza2. Baked clams 3. Black ink pasta 10/10 For drinks I always stick to Prosecco but the lychee martinis are my favorite as well. Service is always great, BUT they are always busy (but I never mind the wait) definitely a must when shopping at Americana.
Be the first to ReplyClean, lively restaurant, serving very good food.
But when did everyone become a restaurant critic writing multiple paragraph reviews and posting paragraphs?
Be the first to ReplyWe have decided to make it our annual holiday tradition.
Came here yesterday, hoping it won't be as busy, but it was packed. The host took our info at 6:25, saying it's 45 minutes wait, but at 6:45 we got a text that our table was ready. We ordered our usual favorites-beef carpaccio, seafood salad, robiola and margherita pizzas, veal marsala and penne cipollini, but this time, my daughter also wanted to try spicy rigatoni and we rounded off the meal with dessert-a cheesecake and a napoleon. Everything was super fresh and delicious, and the service was lovely. It's definitely not cheap, but the food quality is outstanding. Our dinner for 4 was $360 with tip (we also had 3 drinks). Not something that I would do every week, but definitely a terrific place for a special occasion.
Be the first to ReplyWhat a great place for lunch! Always friendly service.
Fresh food.. we get what ever salad special they feature. Baked clams, salmon, grilled calamari.. grilled octopus.. what ever you want it'll be fresh and flavorful!
Be the first to ReplyThe sauce was watery.
It tasted like tomato paste in water. Just look at it... the sauce was literal water. It wouldn't stick to the pasta at all. Terrible food for a place that looks decent on the inside.

For a restaurant in a high end shopping mall I expected better. Although the food was alright there were fruit flies the whole time during our meal. - The fettuccine Alfredo was over cooked making the pasta rubbery- rigatoni pasta was good, I would order it again - fried calamari I would recommend - side of fries
Be the first to ReplyThis place is horrible.
I give a zeo star. The bar tender is socially awkward and the food is horrible
Be the first to Replycipollini is always a go to pasta restaurant for me.
I've had a few of their pastas and all of them have been delicious. my favorites are the black linguine and pappardelle veal ragù. portions are pretty big and filling. prosciutto pizza is also amazing! each time I have gone, the host can be a little rude. I hope that changes as I have seen many other reviews on rude/bad service. but aside from that it is a nice dinner choice.
Be the first to ReplyCame here on my lunch break and was seated immediately.
Inside was very busy so I chose to sit outside by the heat lamps since it was about 60 degrees. I told the waiter that I only had an hour and he happily accommodated me. I was able to get my craft cocktail, espresso and rigatoni in under 20 minutes so I still had time to spare on my break. He tried to warn me that the cocktail with the Bourbon in it was a strong drink but I didn't pay that any mind since I'm used to cocktails being weak at restaurants lol. He was right though, that drink was 80% alcohol lol. I enjoyed my pasta and it was cook perfectly al dente.Only not giving it five stars because I was called misgendered and called "Sir", even after I had spoken to the guy initially.
Be the first to ReplyMy daughter is a huge fan of this restaurant and she comes
My daughter is a huge fan of this restaurant and she comes here often with her friends for special occasions, so when she was on a Thanksgiving break from college, this was one of the places she wanted us at dine at. We were unable to make reservations, somehow, although, there is an option to do so, it does not work and when I called, Cipollini confirmed they don't do reservations. So, we took a chance of a walk-in on Friday evening. A host met us at the door, and we were seated right away towards the end of the restaurant. We ordered pizza margherita, pizza robiola, penne Cipollini, seafood salad, carpaccio and veal marsala. Everything was really good. The carpaccio was a generous portion and I loved the subtle dressing on the salad that it came with. The veal marsala was excellent and we all enjoyed the pizza. The service was great, very friendly, and not obtrusive. We shall be back.

Well let me start by saying what makes this place great is the servers! I've been here twice and both times had different servers and both experiences were great! The burrata is phenomenal and so are the deserts!!
Be the first to ReplyThe host is beyond rude.
Went to get early dinner today they put us at this tiny table sitting not even a foot away from the other table. We tell the guy we don't want to sit on top of these people can you put us somewhere else. He gets nasty and goes " um you can't sit at any of these other tables you can sit outside " we say okay we get sat outside and not even a minute later the guy sits someone right next to us again not even a foot apart. There was literally like 10 empty tables outside and he sits these people on top of us . We left and went to prime 1024. The Americana is a joke. They want you to stand on a virtual line for their stores because "covid" but meanwhile they pile everyone like sardines on top of each other at their restaurants . Pathetic
Be the first to ReplyIt looks nice.
. yet very pricy... the food is not authentic italian as claimed. I've been there several times and always left disappointed. The pizzas are blah, the pasta is never al dente sauce meh (never enough quantity of ingredients). We ordered the tagliatelle and chicken piallard. The tagliatelle barely came with one asparagus and 1/4 of a mushroom with burned garlic and an oil with pasta water sauce. My piallard was flavorful but the portion was less than 4 oz. the chef doesn't understand italian cuisine and the complexity of the flavors. In my humble opinion, you are better going to another establishment. That's if you want real italian food.
Be the first to ReplyI was actually a bit apprehensive about eating Italian food
I was actually a bit apprehensive about eating Italian food not cooked by my wife or a few select others in Manhattan or Italy. We started with some artichokes which were surprisingly well prepared. We had a vongole and pomodoro pastas as well a pizza. Pastas were very good. I personally would eat the pizza. Service was adequate so the entire experience was worth repeating !
Be the first to ReplyAmazing restaurant.
The prosciutto pizza is a must. The decor is beautiful and you can see why this restaurant is so popular. Great for brunch or a romantic dinner.
Be the first to ReplyWaited for 30min to order my food.
Manager Andy for very nasty and was too busy checking out woman in skirts. Higher management should really look into his position.Horrible customer service.

Good food yet again but the area that we sat this time, right outside the entrance of the restaurant. It's not 6 feet apart, no barriers or anything. At most it was 2 feet? Definitely didn't feel safe or comfortable, felt like the 2 tables we were in between were dining with us.Just that it's outside doesn't mean it's safe. If you're not vaccinated/immunocompromised, you won't feel safe here. I recommend edge seats near the parking lot or the side of the building seats are much better which were closed today.
