City Vineyard New York Reviews from The Last Year

First I'll start with my favorite part- THE FOOD! The really do have some of the freshest best ingredients, and everything tastes amazing. We couldnt decide what to get- and you cant go wrong with anything on the menu. We ended up with the Caesar, rainbow burata, burger, and grilled chicken sandwich. Everything was amazing. It is pricey but it is so worth it! Secondly- the vibes are perfect! The restaurant is romantic if youre inside or outside. After we ate, we took our drinks to the roof and enjoyed the sunset. It was a perfect night cap for a special date night.
One of my favorite places in the city.
Overlooks the water. Good service.Fantastic views. Great wine. Good food. What else do you need!

Based on some photos and stories, I am glad I didn't eat here. The cocktails were OK, but you're really paying for the view. Service was fast, but it wasn't that busy. I just wish there was a little more more enthusiasm from the staff. Cocktails were premixed and refreshing but not my favorite.

I just discovered this amazing venue Friday night while attending a birthday party for an old friend. The view was amazing, and despite the fact that it was one of those rare glorious spring days in NYC, we had no trouble finding a few tables and plenty of space for our ever expanding group. Unfortunately, just because a restaurant/bar is in the perfect location and the owners have great taste in architecture along with the capital to erect the perfect structure for waterfront revelry doesn't mean they have any idea how to run a food service business. The menu was a joke although the food itself was edible this is certainly not somewhere you want to go if you're hungry. I can actually remember everything that was on the menu, brussels sprouts fried cauliflower, hummus, Barata salad, cheese plate, and a charcuterie plate. How you gonna feed 30 starving people from that list of dishes!?!? I should add that hummus, cauliflower and brussels sprouts are three of my favorite things to both cook and eat on the planet unfortunately, the way they were prepared and served made them very unappealing. But let's be honest the majority of the people sitting on a huge outdoor terrace overlooking the Hudson River on a Friday after work have little to no interest in the food. They came for the alcohol and what could be better on a warm Friday evening after a long work week than a nice cold beer? Well, you'd be out of luck there too. Their $14 cans of beer were so warm, I was wondering if they somehow managed to find a microwave that you can put metal into because I can't imagine how else they could've gotten the liquid inside those cans to be so much warmer than room temperature. I should add that the staff was extremely polite and helpful, which is rare for a packed bar in downtown New York on a Friday night. The waitstaff did a particularly amazing job keeping the place clean. Overall city Vineyard on Pier 25 is a great place to go to grab a drink and watch the view. Just don't go hungry and sure you order ice water if you order a a drink that you expect to be cold.

Great atmosphere, beautiful views, food and drinks are excellent, and decent price Highly recommended place
This place is literally just fine.
I think the atmosphere would be really fun if we had come on a nice day but since it was raining it wasn't lively. It was just kind of eh. The food was also alright. I definitely think it's overpriced for what it is considering I can't imagine their fries come from anywhere other than a bag in the freezer. I think this place is probably best for a couple drinks on the rooftop or on their outside patio on a nice day. There are significantly better places in the city to eat.
The energy is chill, mix of visitor and locals.
The sunset is pretty! Def a place to checkout once!!!
Delicious dessert! Unfortunately, the day I went I spent 1.
5 hours just for a quick dessert stop. It seemed like they were short staff so that's why it took so long. Regardless, thank you to the waiter who was so kind to us! Plenty of indoor seating and a great view!

We went there for an event (which was nice) but the food was just awful. Caesar salad with no dressing, bland pasta, and the crust on the pizza was so thick and doughy.
Great drinks and wine!
Arrived on 4th of July and was able to help us. The food was oky. Cocktails was great! The atmosphere good. Price a bit heavy even for Saffers going to USA. Pizza was a bit boring. Beer was fantastic!

Prepaid Reservation Fee

When you sell a reservation that has a prepaid fee AT takes a commission on that fee. This doesn’t really make sense because it’s an expense the seller incurs not part of the profit that is shared.
For example:
Carbone NYC fee to book table for 2 is $108.88
If you sell it for $200 on AT you get $140 from them.
Your net profit is $31 and AT collects $60 in fees.
It would make more sense not to charge commission on the upfront fee as this creates a disincentive and results in higher costs for buyers.

Agreed. Ultimately not addressing this month after month is clearly resulting in a drop in certain venue’s rankings & sales.
