Can you afford it?
Can you afford it? Dinner yesterday. I know this place quite well now. New dishes appearing includes a frog-leg based one which had all the characteristics of a great dish. I will be brief: the reason I go back is simple. It is amongst the top 5 or so best restaurants in London imho at the moment and it is consistent. Anybody who has recently checked the prices charged by some restaurants (Ikoyi?) will agree with me that one can not afford any more to get a restaurant wrong. At those new price levels, I can not take any longer the risk of a bad meal. I just can’t afford it any longer. A mistake in selecting a restaurant is just too expensive now. Here I have consistency and high quality. It is as simple as that. Of course a few things I am not a fan of: I would add a linen table cloth on the table, maybe more lights on tables in the evening, some canapes could be refined (1890 at Savoy are exceptional in this respect btw) but those are details. Special mention to the service: both sommelier and RM: young and pro and funny. Everything I want in a modern high end restaurant. A suggestion, the restaurants is particularly pleasant imho at lunch time thx to the natural that lightening the whole dining room.

We arrived with high expectations and were not disappointed Course after course arrived each one a masterpiece and all served with incredible professionalism and with genuine cheer. We left realising we had had the best meal in London to date. The two stars are well deserved
Be the first to ReplySeamless service
The service was seamless and unintrusive and the food was high quality. We had a wine pairing which we enjoyed immensely. Highly recommend this.

Terrible service and very focused on solely making money. Never answer there phone and very poor follow through - not focused on providing a quality experience.
Be the first to ReplyAmazing restaurant
As soon as you energy this first floor restaurant you know you've walked into a starred Mitchlin establishment. Such attention to looking after the customer shone through. The room is just amazing and totally unique. The food was up there with the best we've ever eaten and the duck was the best. A couple of minor things to mention. Serving a course for 3 people while one was not at the table should not happen. The excuse was, 'it OK its cold and I'll return when he comes back'. The only other thing was, with so many staff, when all were waiting the stood in a line of 6-8 people just looking at everyone. A little intimidating. Would we go back, absolutely. Great experience
Be the first to ReplyEverything was great, except the food
When we dine at highly rated restaurants our first priority is the food. We expect it to be delicious. The cheese gougere we were served as we sat down were indeed scrumptious. The rest of our meal, the Bibendum egg, foie gras and prawn starters , duck and venison mains and the apple dessert were not delicious. The duck in fact was poorly butchered and difficult to cut, much less chew. The apple dessert was sadly inferior to the tarte tatin we ate the previous night at a much less pretentious restaurant. Our other items were mediocre at best. Service was excellent, wine very good, the environment beautiful and comfortable. What a shame the food did not live up to that standard.
Be the first to ReplyI tasted one of the best “pates-en-croute” in the world.
Lunch. Not been at Bosi for months. Superb and intelligent meal. Always concerned in my experience with many high-end restaurants about the difference between starters and main dishes with the former typically more refined than the latter. Not here. I can categorically state today that I tasted one of the best “pates-en-croute” in the world. Half joking here but taste it and please tell me I am wrong? A great scallop based dished, refined, and elegant followed. Won’t describe all the dishes but equilibrium, finesse and complexity, the overall guiding principles of a great dish in a high-end restaurant were there. Special mention to the bread. Service was excellent, sommellerie as well and at last they have appointed a very good RM. I would put more lights on tables and they are one of the few restaurants with a good music soundtrack on the background. I did not hear it as much this time. On the mises-en-bouche and aperitifs, I am not a fan of the excellent foie gras and ice cream one. It is actually very good. So can’t fault it. But not as an aperitif. The sardine one is excellent with a smokey taste that is delicious. A step- up in quality. Next time, will try the set lunch menu. Never had it before here but am curious. Been to a usually very good restaurant this week and had the set lunch menu instead of a la carte that I typically have. What a disappointment. Not surprised that lunches are not busy in many restaurants. Lunch menus served in a 1* or 2* restaurants should be of 1* or 2* quality. Lunch menu at the front door to a restaurant: if you disappoint with it, don’t be surprised of the consequences… I never had a lunch menu here before so can’t judge. But todays’ meal was almost perfection. One of my favourite restaurants in London for high end cuisine and service.

Fantastic venue, food, drinks, service. Wedding anniversary made truly GREAT. Yes it is expensive but one feels GOOD there. We’ll be back and recommend indeed… :)
Be the first to ReplyVery Good Meal With Family
I've not been for a while, though this time with family who'd never been, and for a late lunch on this final Friday of 2023. The restaurant is a pleasant place to be with the stained glass windows of the early deco building, and the glass fronted kitchen exposed to diners behind sliding doors. We opted for à la carte of: Cheltenham beetroot, Cauliflower mushroom and Foie gras crème caramel with Autumn truffle. Mains of: Cornish Monkfish served with Pommes soufflées, Cornish Sea Bass and Berkshire roe deer with Lobster and black pudding sauce and the Bibendum double chocolate soufflé and English Apple to finish. The meal begins with the signature Bibendum Egg, amuse bouche and bread, which are all nice, particularly the amuse bouche. My Foie gras crème caramel was delicious and the Venison lovely, though if I'm honest, the lobster was lost a little on the plate, sitting in its own bisk. The Soufflé is as magnificent as ever, but I've had the Ritz Chocolate Soufflé recently and I think that gives this one a good run for its money. Everyone else enjoyed their food very much, but my wife did say her Monkfish wasn't warm enough. Service was attentive and friendly, but even at the heady heights of two Michelin stars, you can see differences and I still rate Le Gavorche the one to beat, which Bibendum isn't quite at. Sadly, that's one London institution which is about to disappear into culinary history. I like Bibendum and I have always rated Claude Bosi's culinary skills: from Hibiscus to here. Perhaps there were a few things that let down todays experience a little, and I hate myself for saying it, the table to the side of us had a crying baby too. For our three course meal (£145 per head), English sparkling wine, glasses of wine, water and tip, we paid £842. Overall, a very good meal and a destination restaurant for all real foodies.
Be the first to ReplyAnother fabulous meal and exceptional customer service
Superb experience as expected, although this time the customer service deserves a very special mention. I had been there a few weeks prior. My waiter from the previous time, Lorenzo, personally welcomed me and thanked me for the review I'd written, and Pablo and Turquesa also came over to welcome us. I was treated so nicely that my friend, who hadn't been there before, jokingly asked me whether I'm royalty and had failed to mention it to him. Every single member of staff was amazing. Every single detail is looked after, which really makes you feel valued as a customer. They even make notes of the smallest of details, such as the fact that I don't enjoy cheese for dessert. Many large corporations should take a page from Claude Bosi's customer relationship management book. From a welcome drink to Lorenzo personally (and proactively!) tweaking my menu so that I could try all the new dishes that were not included in the tasting menu, I genuinely cannot think of a way these guys can better themselves next time. I'm writing this on my way to the restaurant for no doubt another fantastic meal, so I'll know soon enough whether the bar can be raised any further.
Be the first to ReplyExtremely disappointing experience!
Tried to had lunch at this restaurant last weekend. As we didn’t have a reservation, my husband and I were offered a table and told we had an hour and half to have lunch. We ordered a starter, which was tasty, and then waited over an hour for our main course (so they didn’t need our table after all). We noticed the kitchen outside could not keep up with orders! Finally, after a long hour wait, our main course arrived, but my fish was raw and it wasn’t sushi! We stood up and left! When I mentioned what had happened to the manager outside, he told me that my fish wasn’t raw! Arrogant attitude and not the way you treat customers! Not a single apology! This place is stuck up and a complete disaster! Do not recommend it to anyone!
Be the first to ReplyMy new luxury happy place
This restaurant is absolutely superb. The staff are the best I have ever known in making sure you have a luxurious yet comfortable and unpretentious meal. The setting itself is beautiful - elegant, yet also comfortable. The food is world class both in execution. I adored absolutely everything. Highlights for me were the foie gras with truffles and the heavenly cheeseboard. The rabbit my partner ordered was a work of art in terms of tenderness and flavour. The Bibendum egg was interesting and nice to have tried. For a special occasion I think you are hard pressed to find a more romantic and impactful restaurant anywhere in London at the moment.
Be the first to ReplyRobbery
I’ve marked this restaurant so brutally because I feel I’ve ultimately been conned. I spent £1300 on dinner for two. He is ringing as much money out of diners as possible. I have never seen so many supplements on a menu which contains so little alternatives. The cooking is skilled but by no means earth shattering. I strongly advise you to go elsewhere. I feel we were ripped off.

Always love Dinning at Bibendum it’s a feel treat. The staff make you feel so welcome on arrival. Very high standard of food and Service. One of the best in London. Can’t recommend enough.
Be the first to ReplySomewhat upsetting and not a little disappointing.
We decided to return to Claude Bosi for a birthday lunch. The lunch menu is £105 per person as well as this we had two coffees two half bottles of Cote du Rhone, one-half bottle of white wine, and two dry Martinis. The bill including service came to just under £360 of which a little over £130 was for drink. So far so good, it was a celebration and restaurants tend to make their money on alcoholic drinks. Then we come to the food. On the set lunch menu a number of the dishes have a £25 supplement. There are three possibilities for the main course one had a £25 supplement, the other I had eaten on my last visit, and was delicious which left the cod. When the cod arrived it was next to a swirl of potato and on the side there was a small block of herbs with a small quantity of sauce poured on top of it. I think that something must have happened at this restaurant and that the kitchen has forgotten that people go to a restaurant with the idea of being fed. To leave a restaurant hungry is very upsetting and I feel that maybe this is going to be the last £360 they will ever get from me. Who ever heard of a Michelin-starred restaurant serving but three main courses? Was I really expected to order the cheese course for an extra £25 in order to make up for the inadequacy of the main course? Has this restaurant forgotten that it is in the hospitality business? It's all very well that the staff on the floor of the restaurant are probably the nicest and most helpful in Britain, it is the portion control and the number of menu options that need urgent consideration, and a determination to actually feed all their customers. Goodness knows, they charge enough!
Be the first to ReplyLovely place great service
Service impeccable. We tried the Taste of rhe Season menu and had some truffles added to the prawn dish. All in all quite delightful, bit some dishes were a.bit too salty
Be the first to ReplyService and food impressed, but ....

Menu options: limited Signature dish (roast chicken): unavailable Ambience: music playlist: inappropriate Room layout: felt sparse and sterile
Be the first to ReplySuper attentive and amazing setting
The setting was incredible in such a beautiful room, with a view into the kitchen. And service was impeccable from start to finish as expected. Most of the food was good - but the tasting menu we experienced featured mostly soft foods which you barely needed a knife and fork for - it became a bit monotonous after a while with only one meat dish. The rest was super soft foams and mousses and soups and jellys. The wasabi risotto was probably the worst dish on the menu as it was like eating a mouth of mushy mustard. A bit more texture across all courses would be appreciated. The best dish was probably the scallop and elderflower. It was worth the price for the experience but I wouldn't say it was the most memorable or best dishes though everything was presented beautifully.
Be the first to ReplyThe UK’s Next Three Michelin Star Restaurant
I recently visited Claude Bosi for lunch and was extremely impressed with the flavours and technique on show. The meal was more or less perfect from start to end. Of particular note was the caprese course which was served with a chilled consommé, everything complimented each other perfectly. Chocolate soufflé also had great flavour and was served with a lovely vanilla ice cream. Great cheese selection, which I was glad to see was European, as all too many restaurants now only serve British cheese. Even the petit fours were delightful, which includes some great flavoured chocolates. Service was attentive, professional and very friendly. The dining room is particularly beautiful during the day with the sunlight shining through the stained glass windows. All in all, Claude Bosi is a more or less faultless dining experience. I firmly believe the restaurant should receive three Michelin stars in the next guide as the food being served here is of a higher standard than most three star restaurants in the country. The team here work extremely hard and it shows. I look forward to returning soon. A must visit while in London.
Be the first to ReplyUnforgettable dining with my teenage son
Five stars, an unforgettable experience. My 16-year old son and I enjoyed the seasonal tasting menu — nine flavorful courses of regionally sourced small dishes with French and international accents. We sat down at 6:30pm and, to our surprise, concluded our meal at 11:30pm with a final tour of the kitchen that the thoughtful service invited my son on. In each course we had from one to three small dishes which each had a distinct personality and which tied together thematically with the other bites. The opening dishes— Parmesan Gugelhupf, Foi Gras ice cream w a balsamic caramel (?) brûlée, French onion soup, and a tart of Mackerel cured in lime with vanilla—gives one an idea of the combination of tastes and thought that Claude Bosi puts into curating the menu. The staff had a visible passion for highest quality dining, and explained each dish and combination, and answered our occasional questions about cooking methods. We were seated so we could view through glass panels the fascinating kitchen and obviously strong leadership it takes to deliver flawless food and service. It elevated fine dining to performance art. We enjoyed the beautiful decor of the room as well, which felt comfortable and modern as well as gorgeously imbued with the Michelin legacy of a love of experiencing the good things in life.
Be the first to ReplyGo for lunch to fully enjoy the space
We went for lunch, a great way to experience the space and the food. The lunch menu is fewer courses than dinner, and the light filled atrium and the classic stained glass windows are terrific with some sun. The food was superb, especially the monkfish. Well worth the cost.
Be the first to ReplyPhenomenal birthday dinner
There’s not much to say other than the experience was an absolute joy. My partner and I booked this restaurant as my 40th birthday meal after we tried Claude Boss’s food at pub in the park in Marlow. This experience was everything you’d expect from Michelin star dining, the food was exquisite, varied, fresh and innovative. The service was professional, friendly and personable. The restaurant was modern and spaced, and as it was my birthday I was treated with birthday wishes and a special birthday dish. It’s nice to go to a renowned chef’s restaurant and see them through the glass windows looking into the kitchen. This is one of the best meals I have ever eaten, a perfect birthday dinner from start to finish.
Be the first to ReplyThe Best of the Best!
I visited Claude Bosi at Bibendum last week with Two other friends. We chose the taster menu with wine pairing, and I can genuinely say it’s one of the best meals I’ve had in the country. It’s easily up there with the best of the best, I genuinely thought it was better than 3 Michelin Star Alain Ducasse at the Dorchester. The setting is amazing, the service is amazing and the food, well of course it’s amazing. I’ll not go into the menu details other than to say, if you’re passionate about your food, you must go here. Thank you to all the team at Claude Bosi, what a fantastic evening. A Third Star must be heading your way! I’ll certainly be going back with other friends that’s for sure.

Just wow, cannot fault this at all. Every mouthful was exquisite, service was great and the chef was in the house too! An absolute all round perfect meal.
Be the first to ReplyDistinctive cooking and hospitality - outstanding
This was an outstanding lunch in a beautiful location. The food was so precise and well-judged - presentation, aromas, taste and textures - that we struggled to focus our conversation on anything else. There are several set menu options. Usually I am not a fan of set menus, but there is flexibility here and (I personally stuck to the menu) here it was so beautifully balanced as a whole, each course complemented so well by the next. Some interesting wines too. The Michelin building is a classic of course - unique inside and out - and the dining room is spacious and airy. The view into the kitchen is fascinating - you can feel the concentration and see the intensity of the chef’s scrutiny as each dish comes to the pass. Also, a change - almost an exhale! - as service comes to an end, and the glass doors magically turn opaque! The front of house team, led superbly by Enrico, are skilful and welcoming and the vibe of this team is so positive. The icing on the cake - to be met and looked after by the wonderful Diego Masciaga, an absolute master of hospitality, who’s been associated with the restaurant in the past few years and so clearly rates everyone here and what they are doing. London is blessed with good restaurants but some stand out. Bravo!
