Amazing place.
Service and food is fantastic. Came in on an absolute whim. So glad I did.
Be the first to ReplyCraft is the perfect location for a festive, large group
Craft is the perfect location for a festive, large group meal. 10 of us enjoyed a fantastic, family style dinner this weekend. No special occasion - just good friends getting together for some quality time. The lovingly prepared dishes were tasty and perfect for the season. We had the halibut, chicken and pork (all perfectly cooked and delicious). The Hamachi appetizer was out of this world and the donuts - well, what can we say! I can't say enough about the team. Our event planner was thoughtful and detailed. The tableside staff (table captain, sommelier, servers) were warm, attentive and ever present - on a packed Saturday night we felt like the only table in the restaurant - what a memorable evening!

We spent our anniversary having lunch at Vallata next door and ended the evening with dinner at Craft. Wonderful humans work at both establishments. Big shoutout to Cesar who has now served us twice. He is truly a master of hospitality and adds another level to an already fantastic dining experience. We appreciate the efforts your team made to make our anniversary so memorable. Can't wait to come back!

Food 7/10Came here for Thanksgiving dinner with family and friends. The menu was American, so it was a very wholesome meal with all the classics. Everything tasted good, but the mains did not stand out to me. The appetizers were quite fun, and so was the dessert. There was a LOT of dessert, we had leftovers to take back. The pumpkin pie was so smooth and creamy, while the apple crumble was gorgeously tangy and with the right amount of crumble and sweetness. Free muffins for us to take home because it was Thanksgiving too, and those were deliciously moist Atmosphere 10/10A modern spot with warm toned lighting and plenty of space. Loved the festive vibes and the cozy atmosphere. Service 8/10Nothing to complain about!
Be the first to ReplyChef Tom Colicchio's flagship restaurant is well worth the
Chef Tom Colicchio's flagship restaurant is well worth the visit! Outstanding food and service in a classy setting. Photographs of the restaurant do not do it justice. The warm colors of the tables, wooden floors, curved wall, and ceiling along with the dim lighting create an intimate and comfortable atmosphere. The setting is not at all upscale (it's actually really casual) yet still very refined. It's a tastefully designed room that is perfect for a dinner date or special occasion. While we loved everything, my favorite dish was the gratin. It is served in a copper cocotte that not only looks great but allows the top to develop a nice crust as the inside stays gooey and creamy. The layers of potato in the gratin are the perfect thickness - not too thin so they fall apart and just thick enough so you can feel the bite (almost slightly al dente) in each bite. And the layers of thyme, pepper, and butter flavor are remarkable. You must order this dish! The agnolotti was also incredible. I did not expect to be a fan of a pasta using a truffle honey sauce, but this was amazing. The truffle flavor tempered the sweetness of the honey so the dish actually was not very sweet. The ricotta stuffing was also delicious. But best of all was the pasta itself: excellently rolled and perfectly cooked egg dough. Another must-order dish! The duck and the octopus were also delicious. I recommend both. The only dish I would not order again was the hen of the woods mushroom - a pretty big surprise considering this was the dish I was the most excited about. The mushrooms were good, but nothing special like the other dishes. The service here is excellent. The wait staff was extremely professional, conversational, and informative. Everyone who works here - not just our waiter but even the host, sommelier, busboys, and the lady refilling our water glasses - clearly loves working here. Their pride in this restaurant is apparent, and it uplifted the entire experience. Their management should be very proud of them. I can't wait to come back!
Be the first to ReplyGreat experience at this Michelin Star restaurant.
The atmosphere, service, and food were all phenomenal. It was our anniversary and went to splurge a little for dinner. They had our names on our menus and rolled it up so we could take it home after the meal. We ordered the Burrata (Very creamy and loved the addition of the squash). Compliments of the chef was a soup that was very tasty. For our entrees we ordered the scallops and short rib. We got 4 large scallops which were cooked perfectly. The short ribs were the star of the show though! Incredibly tender and left my jaw dropping after each bite. We also ordered the Parmesan+thyme gnocchi and purée potatoes. Both were great but the puréed potatoes may be the best potatoes dish I've ever had. We both went crazy over it (highly recommend).Couldn't thank the staff enough for a great night, the chefs for an incredible meal, and my fiancé for finding this place!

Incredible food, amazing service!Went out with friends and had such an incredible time. My wife & I were seated across from the bar but when our friends arrived, we wanted to be moved a little further into the restaurant. Cesar overheard us and told us if that's what we wished, he'd make it happen...and he did! Cesar has an incredible personality and really elevated our experience. The food was just -- beyond. Everything tasted so fresh & flavors were on point. We ordered family style for the four of us and it was plenty!! For starters we had a butternut squash soup amuse-bouche which is so creamy & the apple bits gave it a nice texture with a bit a sweetness to it. The burrata salad was incredible, perfect for the season, and it's burrata -- no need to elaborate here. Too good!! Hens of the woods risotto was heaven. Mushrooms cooked perfectly and the creaminess of the risotto hit the spot. For meats we chose the poached halibut which was light & zesty and the braised short ribs were out of this world!! Melt in your mouth, rich/deep flavor perfect for the cold weather outside. We almost ordered another but we still had other dishes to try.For sides we got the sweet potato cremè fraîche which were softly on the sweeter side while the cremè added a nice touch of tangy -- we loved them! The sautéed greens were a great addition to the table while the gratin potatoes were the winner of the sides. Creamy and another dish you'd want to dive into given the colder weather.Dessert -- still dreaming about it. The spiced sugar doughnuts were these perfectly warmed, small delights and the chocolate soufflè was rich & silky. We didn't know we'd be blown away by their ice creams but WOW!! I love a classic vanilla but theirs tasted like there was a hint of the lucky charms marshmallow flavor in there. Basically the vanilla didn't stand a chance at the table. The pumpkin cheesecake & chocolate stracciatella flavors were honestly incredible as well.Between the hosts, Cesar, the somm, manager (who suggested the ice cream), and the FOOD...Craft is truly a gem and wonderful fine dining experience. I'd love to go back!

Food was delicious, especially the duck that was incredibly tender and just perfect all around. Not overly dim and quite spaced out interior but still a very intimate space, perfect for a slow dinner with some wine.
Be the first to ReplyCraft has become my new favorite place.
Service is exceptional. Food has been top notch. One of my favorites is the Hen of the Woods mushrooms - so flavorful. They also have fantastic gluten free bread that's baked in house daily. For the non GF folks, they have sourdough that's baked in house. Cocktails are also excellent and you can tell the bartenders put a lot of care into each drink they make.

Huge shout out to Craft making an anniversary couple feel super special! I made a huge whoop-de-doo about a previous, more expensive restaurant not really acknowledging our anniversary & it was like Craft was listening & taking notes. Upon arrival 2 people congratulated us, then our server, then the sommelier arrived w/ complimentary bubbles & congrats. What?! 4 thoughtful acknowledgments in the first 5 mins?! They even printed our names in the menu. We did the tasting menu w/ the paired wines & the sommelier was fantastic! I believe her name was Cheron & she was super informative with the details of each wine. The meal was good, it didn't knock our socks off but looking at the whole experience the service would keep us coming back it was top notch.

My wife and I ordered the Grilled Octopus and the Spaghetti Nero, both were bland. This is overpriced food for what you get. Not impressed Mr Colicchio, I can cook better food than this.

Visited on a Thursday evening to celebrate my son's 3rd birthday. The staff were warm and welcoming, we were promptly seated with custom printed menus which said "Happy birthday Jordan", they even rolled it up and sealed it to take home as a keep sake! Our servers were wonderful and very attentive to our table. Everything was fantastic from start to finish. Would highly recommend.
Be the first to ReplyI should start with price.
This place is expensive. It is the kind of place that you need to come to terms with the cost before you ever walk in the door. If you can do that, you will have a wonderful time. The first thing I noticed was how gorgeously appointed the entire place was. It has a very upscale and yet comfortable vibe. The service was great. The food was delicious. Out table ordered the duck, snort ribs, and Cod. They were all delicious. The gnocchi were unusually large...really the size of small scallops. That wasn't a problem, it was just unusual. Our table LOVED the mushrooms. They seemed to be char-grilled so they were a little crispy. I've never had crispy mushrooms before -yum!There was a large table near us with a child who decided to turn on the flashlight on a phone. It was shining directly in my eyes, so I flagged down a manager who was walking by. It was handled quickly and graciously for all parties involved - which I appreciate.

Being a huge Top Chef fan I was beyond excited to eat here and I was not disappointed! The restaurant is beautiful, the food is great and the staff is wonderful. We had the quail, the pork chop, the fingerling potatoes & the chocolate soufflé - all absolutely delicious!Huge shout out to Cesar for being so amazing!

I went for their Valentine's Day special menu and for the cost, it wasn't worth it. As excited as I was try to try Craft, I was a little disappointed by the lackluster of the options, and taste of the meals we did end up having. Please note, the meals weren't terrible or bad by any means, just not fantastic or memorable. I do hope to try Craft again when it's not a holiday or a specific menu.
Be the first to ReplyNice ambience, great service, average food.
We were very excited given the chef's reputation and because it was featured in Billions. The food was very average, nothing to write home about. We started with Beet salad, which was essentially beets on a plate cut in different sizes. The risotto and octopus were good. We were told the entree portion was good for 1 person but certainly not true for Pork and Chicken. And both were underwhelming. The scallops portion was reasonable for 1 person. Please note there are no entree options for vegetarians. Our friend asked if Pasta could be entree portion but she got an appetizer portion.

The quality of food wasn't good, especially when considering the price. Nice ambiance but not worth the price in my opinion. The fish was overcooked and cold in the middle which I've never experienced before, risotto was overcooked, angioloti bland with no taste for the filling, stale bread and over use of chives on everything.Seems like there needs to be some better quality control.

Wow. Tom Colicchio's restaurant is amazing. We got there a few minutes before our reservation and they seated us immediately that beautiful Christmas tree was in the background. We were brought a amuse Bouche other potato leek soup that was awesome. The menu had so many choices that I wanted to try. The wine steward steered us in the right direction with a very nice bottle of Chardonnay. One of my dining partners and I split the seared foie gras. There were two pieces so that was perfect for us to split! It was awesome. It came with a small piece of pear. I love foie gras with fruit.I had a pork dish, another person at the table had the pasta with shaved white truffles, and another person had the seared diver scallops. They were all excellent. Although the pasta with the shaved truffles was amazing, I don't know if it was $125 worth of amazing. But it was very tasty. My pork dish was ginormous.I would highly recommend this restaurant.
Be the first to ReplyGreat decor, nice place to eat, good service but the food
Great decor, nice place to eat, good service but the food was just not tasty. The entrees did not interest us so we stuck with appetizers. The burrata with oily sloppy peppers and anchovies did not taste good. The lumache with bolognese was dry and had too much parmesan already on it. The broccoli, sauteed greens, and beets were bland. Not sure why the servers weren't wearing masks.
Be the first to ReplyI've always wanted to go to one of Tom Colicchio's
I've always wanted to go to one of Tom Colicchio's restaurants in NYC and am glad that I finally had the opportunity to do so. Granted it was a Friday night, Craft was quite busy and I'm glad that my friend and I had reservations. We ordered a spread of food including the following below-Heirloom tomato salad- good, nothing special. Black truffle pasta- absolutely delicious. Smaller portions than I would've liked but literally melt in your mouth level good.Roasted Black Hen of the Woods- I absolutely love mushrooms so I was really looking forward to trying this dish at Craft due to its rave reviews. They were indeed delicious but way too salty for my liking and I do enjoy salty food. The texture was also a bit off but this is quite frankly personal preference. Roasted Zucchini- I am a sucker for great zucchini so I loved this side.Golden Snapper- must love lemon if you get this dish. It lacked flavor IMHO but a generous portion was given.Braised Beef Short Ribs- god these were so fatty but absolutely delicious. Don't not get this. All in all, Craft does live up to the expectations they had and I wouldn't be opposed to returning. I would just be more cognizant of what I should and shouldn't order.
Be the first to ReplyCraft is a high-end farm to table restaurant.
The menu, printed anew daily, lists the local farms and orchards that have supplied the day's ingredients. The bounty is delivered to the kitchen by 3pm daily and informs the offerings for the night. All ingredients are antibiotic free. The décor is modern and elegant rustic farmhouse with dark hues and naked light bulbs hanging from the ceiling. The amuse-bouche was a hearty, creamy potato leek soup finished with a drop of celery oil. The octopus appetizer had a nice char on the outside and was grilled to the perfect consistency. It was accompanied by gigante beans, a Jimmy Nardello's pepper, and flash fried kale that provided a nice crunchy texture. The duck had crisp skin and succulent meat with a peppery flavor. The accompanying Brussels sprouts were also quite good. But now, we need to talk about this black truffle and winter squash agnolotti. Absolutely exquisite! I am admittedly a bit truffle obsessed (hey, there are worse vices, don't judge me). I read through the menu and noted that there were 2 pasta dishes with truffle. I was delighted! Then I saw that one of them was $137! I couldn't fathom a pasta dish living up to that price tag, so I relegated myself to the more reasonably priced $37 dish, prepared to be somewhat disappointed as I assumed I would be tasting their second rate dish. I was wrong! (don't let my husband know I ever uttered those words, ha). The pasta was absolutely phenomenal and the highlight of the meal. The fresh pasta was buttery and nearly creamy in texture. The squash added just the perfect amount of sweetness to the dish and complemented the earthy muskiness of the truffles, which also had both sweet and savory traces. The amount of truffles was quite generous. The interplay of the various flavors and textures was a thing of absolute beauty! I think they may have mixed up the price tags for those two pasta dishes, because I cannot imagine another pasta dish topping this one. Overall a great meal experience, and I would gladly make a return trip in the hopes that the pasta dish was again on the menu.
Be the first to ReplyOh man, I can't wait to write this experience.
Mind you, it actually started out really good. The beet salad was very good and the cocktails tasted unique. HOWEVER, we were looking at the menu and the first course dishes just looked better to us than the main dishes, so we ordered a bunch and shared (alongside a couple rounds of drinks). Our total was about $400, then the waiter came over with the dessert menu. He said "there are some I would recommend that aren't that expensive". At that point, we were like... "Well that was a weird comment." Why did he cheapen the menu to make it look more appealing to us? Was it because we ordered six first courses, a side dish, and six cocktails between three people? So, we joked a bit then told him we were all set with desserts. He then put some cookies on the table and said "since you didn't get desserts, here are some cookies." Like do I need to show him my bank statements or have him run a credit report lol. Like we didn't order main dishes because the other parts of the menu looked appealing to us and WHY AM I DEFENDING OUR MENU CHOICES?Anyway, he ignored us after we ordered food and I had to flag him down for a second round of drinks. We may have ordered more if I didn't need to search for him or if he didn't throw some low-key shade on our financial status for some weird reason.

This restaurant was highly recommended by my co-worker who said it was one of the best meals she's had in a while and we completely agree! It was definitely one of the best meals we've had to date. My husband and I went here for our anniversary and they made custom menu's for us that said happy anniversary which was such a sweet and personal touch. Our waiter was incredible and gave fantastic drink and food recommendations. Below are some highlights:Octopus with chorizo was a flavor explosion and super tender- one of the best octopus dishes I've ever had! short rib- so tender and melt in your mouth, a baby could eat it...potato puree- possibly 90% butter and 10% potato, so rich and delicious for a butter and potato lover like me. hen of the woods- so simply prepared but the mushroom did all the work in terms of flavor- earthy, tender, a bit peppery. The cocktails are well thought out and out together. The only thing I'd skip next time is the pate.We had such an incredible and memorable experience and will 100% come back.

My husband and I had our 10th anniversary dinner here back in July. We ood, service and ambiance didn't disappoint us! They even put our names on top of our menu! It was so sweet of them. For appetizers, we had a dozen oysters and foie gras which were delicious! Then I had their signature Seared Scallops with shaved Truffles, because why not? My husband had Braised Beef Short Ribs. For the sides, we ordered Sauteed Greens and our favorite Roasted Black Hen of the Woods. For dessert, we ordered Chocolate Souffle. I must say that everything was exquisite and beyond mouthwatering! Would love to go back there again!

I had heard about this place through a few friends and they recommended I try it. We had a reservation for 10 and everything went smoothly. Service was great but I expected a little more attention for the prices we were paying for the food. Also with such a large group I would except more than one person to help out our table. We ordered plenty of items. I did not have the chance to take a picture of all of them. All of the food, for the most part, was good. Nothing blew me away by any means. It was all cooked perfectly but I really can't put into words what it lacked. However the peppers were honestly excellent. I highly recommend adding those to your meal. The atmosphere is nice. It was quiet but not so quiet you couldn't have a decently volumed conversation. The lighting was great as well. I'm not sure if I'd ever come back here. For the price I think I'd be better off trying some other restaurants.
