The most amazing food and it is pricey but well worth it!
The most amazing food and it is pricey but well worth it! We we're just planning to have a dozen oysters then going elsewhere for the main dinner. We had the best Nantucket oysters (Fifth Bend and Pocomo Meadow) I've ever tried which made us realize we should just stay to have a full course dinner. We had the best Sommelier who chose a really great French wine. We had the crab cake which was mostly crab versus breading which is the way it's supposed to be. Then we had the Lobster Fra Diavolo and the special which was pasta scallops with caviar. The desserts were divine ice cream and chocolate mousse. The service was very top-notch and the view is a Great view of the port. This is a good place to dine for all occasions.
Be the first to Replyoutrageouy expensive.
Entrees more than $50. And yet they won't seat you until everyone in your party shows up. Tacky. And insulting.

Tons of great seafood options, the food was good but not the best on the island. The farmers salad was probably my fav- simple, fresh- I did find it as too heavily dressed but it was a glutinous salad. The oysters were fresh although I found them super salty, the charcuterie board was a disappointment. The halibut was was a HUGE portion and was good but just too much fish for one person. This definitely seems to be the happening spot in nantucket- it was lively with chatter all around. We found the service a little spotty but it is the end of the season and a busy night.

I wish there were zero stars -been going here since Ropewalk days. this place now caters to ferry trade and billionaires alike. so yesterday for over 160 dollars-my daughter got 3 squash ravioli and a martini, I got 1/2 dozen local oysters and a cup of cold clam chowder that was inedible-ice cold. there's 20 percent gratuity charged-I didn't add more as I usually do -so disappointed in a rainy day and it was my birthday and and and -it sucked. proceed with caution-I miss the rope walk and decent service and food.

Great setting along the docks, delicious food but the bloody Mary's we ordered before the food took forever to come out, they finally appeared just as our food was served. We asked the server about our drinks before we ordered the meal but someone messed up in getting the drinks out before the meal, for $21 drinks we expected they would do better.

before I even talk about the food, I have to call out the INCREDIBLE service here! we felt so taken care of, the service was absolutely amazing. the food was great, we had the lobster roll, salmon, and a few apps. don't miss the fried clams! last, we got to sit outside by the water and it was so beautiful. can't recommend this place enough! will definitely be back.
Be the first to ReplyGreat service.
Fresh seafood. Raw oysters, clams etc. Very pricey. Drinks were good. Fantastic location and view.

4.5 stars I round to 5. Love the raw bar, drinks, ambience, location, and service. Their lobster roll is unreal too - our server said best on the island and it did not disappoint. (don't bother with the mussels though. It's just okay.)
Be the first to ReplyGreat for a drink that's about it as view is scenic.
Food very average and waaay over priced. $15 for rolls and butter, $32 for a burger , $20 for clam chowder Hey if you want to pay 2-3X more than everywhere else go for it.
Be the first to ReplyAmazing cocktails and unmatched views.
The back bar is the best! Food was incredible - the lobster pasta dish was the best

I am an oyster lover & Cru has the best Ousters I have ever had! Everything was reasonably priced for how great the food was. The friend fish sandwich was amazing quality! Highly recommend it here for the great location right on the water, but for the great food as well
Be the first to ReplyHave wanted to dine here for years.
Finally my wife and I went on Columbus weekend '22. Seems easier to get a table after 9p on a weekend. Great service and cocktails. The vibe in the main dining room near the bar is like a pulsating loud dance club. Difficult to talk to your dining companion(s). I wish Cru would wait until 10pm to crank the music, not before. Regardless, food was great. We had oysters and squid, salads and drinks. Made a dinner of their small plates and appetizers. Worth a Resy! I wouldn't return though - too darn loud.

I loved the location, right on the water, and the food was delicious. I had the lobster roll and fries- the best lobster roll I have ever had. The service was excellent- my server Grover was attentive and super helpful but not intrusive. I definitely recommend this restaurant.

Another delicious meal at Cru this weekend! While all my girlfriends loved their buttery lobster rolls, being gluten free certainly didn't mean I had to miss out - I just ate the lobster on a salad and oh-my-goodness was it Heaven! Cru's dedicated fryer for gluten free fries made it easy to enjoy a meal I always loved there before I had to go gluten free. Before heading to Nantucket, I was afraid of eating out and if I'd be able to find safe places for meals with friends. But I didn't get sick at all, so I can safely say Cru took this seriously. It was a dream to be able to enjoy many meals with my girlfriends, thanks Cru and Nantucket!

Newer hot-spot on the island, the great location is easily walkable and nestled at the end of one of the wharfs along downtown. Beautiful views of the harbor, and delicious seafood-focused menu!
Be the first to ReplyJust a really cool spot in general.
The food is great and the drinks are even better. Each time I've sat at the bar and the service was great.Perfect spot to grab drinks for a date. Before or after stopping at Cru you can walk the docks and check out the beautiful boats as well.
Be the first to ReplyLoved the cocktails.
The bartenders know how craft cocktails with quality spirits. I'm a cocktail-snob like that. Loved the bah menu especially the oyster selection. Some of the best I've EVAH had. Definitely will return.

Cru is worth the wait and the money! We snagged last minute lunch reservations the night before and sat on the patio under a perfectly blue sky and the nice harbor breeze on a Sunday afternoon in late August. This restaurant is what I picture when I hear about Nantucket dining - upscale and coastal with a fresh menu. The lobster roll has more than enough meat on it (I opted for the warm version), the sauce was delicious with some pickled onions (I think) and fresh herbs. The fries are nice and crunchy. My friend's burger had thick cut bacon, beautiful bib lettuce and the juiciest tomato.
Be the first to ReplyWe came for late lunch.
It was a gorgeous afternoon and we had a table overlooking the harbor. The view was incredible. I had the crispy fish sandwich which had cabbage. cucumber and a tarter sauce. We split an order assorted oysters. It was a little pricey but that is what you get on Nantucket

5 star - this place is probably worth trying at least once, but only if you're willing to dole out $50 for the lobster roll. The lobster rolls are actually really good with very fresh lobster, and the brioche bun is soft and lightly toasted. Honestly though, having the claim as the best lobster roll in Nantucket, I guess I expected more? I've had better lobster rolls elsewhere and I thought it would be more unique with different flavors or ingredients. The price premium is more for the location and the view. TLDR, good to try once, but better lobster rolls out there at half the price.
Be the first to ReplyCame for a drink and appetizers and sat at the back bar.
The bartenders were unbelievably unwelcoming and rude. We decided to leave after 1 drink because of the atrocious service and because we didn't care to listen to the bartender spewing profanities to his friend. We asked for the check and he slapped it down and didn't say a word. Will not return.
Be the first to ReplyThe food was good.
The service was terrible. You definitely need to wear ALL of your labels and flaunt your wealth if you want anyone to pay attention to you. Our waiter was not happy when we just wanted a few cocktails and appetizers, but not a full entree. He never returned to ask if we would like another round or found our appetizers to our liking. We finally had the very kind young man who was filling our water get our waiter for us. The waiter came to the table. We asked for another round of cocktails and he literally nodded, turned on his heels, not saying a word! He had the audacity to add a 20% gratuity to our check. There were obviously some very wealthy people who had come in while we were there because the staff bent over backward for those parties. Judging a book by it's cover is not the way to go Nikoli.
Be the first to ReplyWi'thout a doubt this is the worst restaurant in Nantucket
Wi'thout a doubt this is the worst restaurant in Nantucket and perhaps the worst seasonal restaurant I have ever experienced. Fried clam roll consists of 5 under cooked clams at $38.00 plus 20% tip. That's almost $6.00 per clam, it should be a felony. The service personnel were overwhelmed and certainly not trained. It took us 50 minutes to be served oysters on the half shell and another 40 minutes for our entree which consisted of a cheeseburger and a clam tool. To add insult to injury they add an automatic twenty percent gratuity. NEVER again
Be the first to ReplyFood was just ok.
Way better places to eat on Nantucket. Service was terrible. Made to feel like waiter was annoyed with everyone and everything resulting in worst ambiance of any restaurant we have encountered on the island. Way overrated.
Be the first to ReplyGo to where the locals go.
ย Location is best on island. ย Service A+. Drinks perfect. ย Shrimp cocktail colossal!! ย Go directly to the bar in the back! ย Very pricy, but in this case, you get what you pay for.
