We came to celebrate my birthday & my wife's award for "The Whale". The atmosphere is really quite beautiful with magnificent floral arrangements all around & dramatic spotlights for each table. The service was impeccable throughout. We enjoyed the fresh oysters, the perfectly sized burrata & pear salad followed by the wet aged ribeye mid rare with sautéed spinach on the side. The steak was thinner than we expected (1/2" -3/4" or so?) for a 19 ounce bone in rib-eye. We finished with the red berry & citrus swirl and the Black Forest sphere and a glass of 10 year port. The desserts were gorgeous! Delicious too!!! They celebrated our day with 6 beignets with chocolate sauce. I highly recommend a visit & I only withheld the final star because the price points are SO high.

Service: 5/5 - Service is really good and polite; they offered cost checks, asked for if dinner was for a celebratory reason, allowed wine samples when contemplating ordering, etc. Nothing less than amazing. Food: 4/5 - The beef tartare appetizer was the highlight of the dinner. Inspired by yukhoe, it had soft and savory beef balanced with the crunchy Chicharron for a twist but still predominantly had Korean flavors. I had the dry-aged steak, and it was good. The sticky toffee dessert was also great with the varying textures and sweetness from the sponge and pecans, had a hot and cold play with the ice cream, definitely something to indulge upon after the big dinner. Price: 4/5 - It's a little bit in the pricier end especially for the steaks since I wish I had bit more funk from the dry aging. It compares to the ~$50 dollar steaks, which I think are really good, so it definitely leans towards the $60+. Ambiance: 4.5/5 - It's relatively speak-easy, gives off the fancy tone.
Be the first to ReplySad to see George the GM not here.
Food has not changed, still amazing! The ambiance is pleasant and cosy. Staff has changed but familiar faces are always welcoming. Especially our server, Dani, a gem. So good to see her every time we're here!
Be the first to ReplyThe food is really good here.
The staff seems to preemptively take away my food though when I'm still eating and not done. I came here once in the past - prepandemic- and the lady took away my water. I had the 8oz filet and ....I was thirsty and...I paid for that! But futile to complain because I wasn't about to open another bottle. :/The table had good cheesy bread and other assorted breads. The last time I recently went it was lunch time - I had some steak and switched the fries for more of the salad, which was great. But then the person took away my bread that I was eating...you know, the best part ..the middle!! They must be given that instruction to do that so they can accommodate new people. It's a bit undesirable to stay and converse if you don't even have your drink still because they took it. So Good if you don't have a lot of time to kill but you just feel rushed out at the end. :)
Be the first to ReplyThe food is very good.
The steak came medium when I ordered it medium rare but it was still really good (I suspect they entered the order wrong given the service issue, not that they cooked it wrong). The house steak sauce and Armagnac peppercorn sauce was great. Loved the date cake with coconut ice cream. Shrimp were extra large with excellent cocktail sauce that had fresh horseradish, etc - only good stuff to say about the food. The service though... slow, even at the bar. Bartenders not attentive and they couldn't really talk about the steaks. Also, for some reason the bar area was extremely cold... like it was uncomfortable and made me want to leave. Not sure why - unclear if for some reason they had the AC blasting on a cold night or some window or door was open... regardless, it was uncomfortable. And no hooks under the bar to hang jackets and the foot rest below the bar was flimsy. Could easily be 5 stars if the service was better and they fixed these relatively minor issues.

Trendy restaurant, I was excited to try this place out on a Saturday night. We got there around 8:40pm for the 8:45pm reservation and were seated around 10-15min later. We had a group of ten. I felt like the service was pretty slow. We sat down around 9pm and we didn't get our food till 10:50pm. We got apps and drinks as well in between. I am thinking it is because we had a larger group so it took longer but to wait 2 hours for an entree seemed kind of long. I got the new york sirloin and it was kind of burnt outside so it was really chewy. I wasn't very impressed especially at this kind of price point. We also got fries and creamed spinach on the side to share. Nothing to rave about. I was also confused by the creamed spinach because it was just blanched spinach. There wasn't any flavor and no cream to be found. I did like the tuna tartare and butter lettuce salad that we got for apps. The whole meal ended around 12am. Overall I feel like the steak could have been cooked better since this place isn't cheap.

One of the few steakhouses in NYC that have prime halal steaks on their menu. Cut is situated right off the lobby of Four Seasons downtown. It has a dedicated entrance on Church Street and you can also access it through the hotel. The service here has always been excellent -- our typical waiter's name is Abdullah and he's gone above and beyond every time to make sure we're happy. They also take halal diners seriously and make sure they do not serve any dishes or sauces with alcohol. Reservations are pretty easy to make online and you can always call to see if they have availability at a time that was showing fully booked. We've gotten the tomahawk every time we've come and it's 100% worth it. They slice it table-side once it's ready. During my most recent visit, Chef Wolfgang Puck was hanging out by the entrance and I just walked up to him and started talking about the space and his watch. We were seated maybe 10 minutes later and he sent out off-menu appetizers on the house, then came out to carve our tomahawk himself! Quite the treat.
Be the first to ReplyNice Wolfgang steak house close to WTC.
It is inside the lobby of four seasons. Service was attentive and food was excellent.
Be the first to ReplyThis place was great.
We walked in late night and were able to get a table right away. Service was so good! They treated us like VIPs from the start and made our first night in NYC so memorable.
Be the first to ReplyAmazing delicious steak! Cool ambience! I got the 18oz.
Rib eye and it was so good. Only giving this place 3 stars because I went at lunch time and it wasn't busy at all yet my waiter didn't really check in to see if I needed anything. Slow service. They use Creekstone (halal) steaks, except their Wagyu and filet mignon.
Be the first to ReplyService was amazing but the food is bland and boring.
The steaks taste like they have no seasoning. Save your money and go to somewhere else. Even Ruth Chris has better flavor than this place.
Be the first to ReplyEverything was lacking.
The service nor the food was what it should have been for this type of restaurant. I was handed a dirty menu, Our drinks weren't refilled, dirty dishes were left at the table, The food wasn't seasoned at all and the overall experience really wasn't up to the billing.

Newly married, my husband and I decided to come here to celebrate. The food was phenomenal, the service was amazing. The only disappointment we had was that we had noted on our reservation that we were coming there to celebrate because we just got married and they didn't do anything special for us. I know it sounds a little bit extra, but for $350 that we spent we were hoping maybe a glass of champagne or a glass of wine on the house to celebrate our special evening. To add to that, the couple that got seated after us directly across from us got glasses of what looked like rosé on the house for their celebration. My husband brought it up to the manager and she gave us some cookies to take home, but it did kind of put a slight damper on the night considering it's a pretty big deal that we just got married a week ago and we wanted to spend our special celebration night there. We will return but definitely not to celebrate anything special.

Truly unremarkable, and not up to the standards of other Puck restaurants. We ate there early on a Wednesday night. The appetizers (oysters and a salad) were whisked out promptly, and the wine was poured. Unfortunately, it then took ~50 minutes for our entrees and sides to come out. During that time, the gentlemen next to us sent his steak back twice due to an improper cook. When our entrees finally arrived, my steak was overcooked (medium, when I ordered medium-rare), and my wife's prawns were similarly overcooked. Not sure how a steak house can get the "cook" so consistently wrong. This is a place to eat if you are staying at the Four Seasons and eating on an expense account. Otherwise, not worth it.

I can say now that some of the best steak I have had has been at CUT. We first tried Cut in Las Vegas and while it was super expensive, I didn't regret paying a penny (I treated my honey). When we found ourselves in NYC recently, I had to treat him again at CUT. While the décor was markedly different, the experience was not. The waiter was excellent. Attentive, informative and gave just the right amount of guidance. If you like Manhattans, then you must try one with their specialty crafted blend. It was smooth and delicious. The tuna starter melted in your mouth and don't get me started on the pretzel bread. The filets like before were cooked to perfection and just melted in your mouth. We weren't crazy about the broccolini but they remedy that appropriately. The dessert was good. It was a deconstructed cheesecake but my mind was still on that filet and cocktail. If you haven't tried Cut yet, you should.
Be the first to ReplyWent here while visiting NYC for a few days.
We had been to the CUT in Las Vegas, and it was an amazing experience. My wife tried the Manhatten, it was great. I had the Pinot. Both were great. The place has a dark / subdued ambiance. They have a great background music and this night they had a great 80ties set on. Great music! We started with the Tuna Sushimi dish. It was very tasty and a great way to start a meal. We had the filet mignon as the main thing. We had it with fries and broccoli. The filet was cooked to perfection. The fries were great. The broccoli was not a fantastic experience. We had the cheesecake for dessert and it was slow cooked so very creamy. Overall a fantastic diing experience. It was a bit expensive but an fantastic meal.

To all my halal eaters they offer Creekstone steaks (minus the wagyu beef) and halal chicken. With that being said the service/ambience was good. However the meat of my concern would be the ... meat and sides/dessert. The steaks are exorbitantly overpriced, cooked ok but without much seasoning, with no specialty butter available. The desserts and sides are minuscule lacking substance and flare. Overall the steakhouse experience was underwhelming and very lacking
Be the first to ReplyGreat service is the standout here.
Nice twists on steakhouse fare delivers an enjoyable meal and makes this spot worth a visit, but it's the attention to detail from the staff that you want to return as soon as possible.
Be the first to ReplyOMG, CUT NYC was definitely exceptional.
I also love the location. A lot of good choices here, I was blown away with the menu, tried their American Wagyu and it was fantastic. Crew is extremely helpful and can help you with everything. I would definitely drop in again.
Be the first to ReplyOne of the best meals of my life.
Really amazing food and experienced wait staff. This place is ideal for steak lovers but the caviar was also wonderful. I had the bone in NY strip and will be returning for the sirloin soon...
