Fab food
New Yearโs Eve dinner and their last night at Claridges (also stayed in the hotel see separate review). Large dining room, some might say grand rather than intimate helpful and friendly staff. Food of course was remarkable and took us easily through to midnight when all the kitchen staff joint us in the dining room to say happy new year and goodbye!

We had a delicious meal here for hubbies birthday, the experience was wonderful. We did wonder if the service might be a bit stuffy but it wasnโt, the staff were lovely and really enhanced the experience. The food was absolutely delicious.

What a wonderful way to spend New Years eve. Food fabulous. Service fabulous. Ambience fabulous. You should be so so proud of what you have achieved. We look forward to your next adventure.

I came here with my husband for dinner and was quite disappointed because the reviews were good so we expected a great dinner. The decor in the restaurant is odd really plain and uninspired.
We choose from the a la carte menu everything was ok but not special, the portion sizes were tiny even for fine dining, price was as expected for the location.
Service was slow but the restaurant was full and the waiting staff were working flat out so understood however with that in mind pouring our bottle of red wine into a carafe and putting it at the counter instead of leaving it on our table was annoying because we kept sitting with no wine and no one around to pour it for us.
Good not Great
Dinner with a friend. Amuse bouche was a highlight with some amazing bread. However the rest of the menu was underwhelming, but it was served with some beautiful wine. Flavours werenโt very balanced, lots of meat with little else on the plate. Moved to the bar after dinner and struggled getting service, however throughout the meal, service was very friendly and accommodating.

I came here for my birthday as a special occasion - my partner has booked it as a surprise.
We thoroughly enjoyed the meal and the experience. The staff were so friendly and attentive, and felt very genuine with it.
We went for the a la carte menu. All the courses were delicious but our favourites were the black cod (hot starter), venison (main) and chocolate dessert.
The only thing I didnโt like was some other customers ha - one next to us was on her phone the entire meal and another was wearing a sports cap which I thought was rude.
Overall we had a lovely time here and felt like a special treat.
First Class on both occasions
I have been lucky enough to dine here twice in recent months. The first for dinner for my fiancee's birthday in August and then again in late September for lunch on my 50th. I had lunch two days before at Helene Darroze at the Connaught which was also first class.
During lockdown I became vegetarian for a number of reasons and to say the least, this has limited my choice at the top end of the dining food chain. With Eleven Madison going plant based in New York I had high expectations of being able to experience the same high standards that I had been privileged to experience prior to giving up meat. I can confirm that you can get the very best of cooking in London, plant based and without compromise. The kitchens are spotless and incredibly professionally run. It's sad that it appears from reading the industry press that Daniel Humm will part ways with Claridges before it really gets started after this extremely impressive beginning. Claridges seem to have made a mistake here.
Food is excellent, service almost completely perfect, room a little austere the only thing I didn't enjoy 100% was the evening music, which for my preference was a little loud, the photography on the walls interesting and shows a quirky sense of humour.
Top class lunch
The room is very clean in design, perhaps even a little stark, but still classy. Three of us for lunch, one us had been before a few times, it was my first time. Nice welcome.
Every dish was really enjoyable, as said everyone. The dry-aged duck is the best duck dish I have had. Properly cooked and tender, so often duck can feel like a bit of a battle, this one certainly not.
Service was everything I like and think it should be. A very good balance between proper, efficient and friendly. We engaged with a couple of the staff and had a really interesting conversation about their experiences. I get that this isn't for everyone, they just want unobtrusive good service, but the staff made the lunch even better for us, given the food had already won our praise. I am very interested in where food comes from but also interested in how the industry functions, especially at the moment when getting staff in the sector is so difficult.
All three of us really enjoyed our lunch, good food, service and at a good pace so we could have a good talk between us too. I have already booked to come back for lunch again with another friend.
Move over Ramsay Royal Hospital Road- this is in a different league
Fantastic tasting menu with some of the best dishes we have ever had. The setting, inside Claridgeโs hotel, was underwhelming at first, being almost empty when we arrived at 1pm on a a Saturday. However, this changed quickly and it was buzzing by 2pm. Service was friendly and unpretentious. Highly recommended.

We went for a midweek lunch and ate from the ร la carte menu. The large dining room space was almost empty with only about four tables occupied, consequently the whole place lacked any atmosphere whatsoever. The cold starter was tasteless, the hot starter (the cod) a tiny portion and the main course small and over seasoned. We didn't have dessert. Overall a very disappointing experience. If you want to spend ยฃ125 per head for a four course lunch there is a better experience to be had elsewhere in London.
