Nice
Tasty pizza and cosy place. Staff was attentive and very helpful. Foccacia was tasty and pizza alright. I didn't love the tomato sauce in the pizza, but I guess it's a personal preference as dough was great :)

I'm a big fan of pizza! I was looking for new places on envibe and saw Del Popolo. Veeery tasty pizza straight from the oven. I definitely recommend it to everyone who loves pizza
Be the first to ReplyDisappointing
Wine was tasty staff are friendly but both pizzas badly Burnt and just tasted of that. $128 for 2x burnt pizzas 2x red wine and one starters is crazy. Just very disappointed
Be the first to ReplyBEST PIZZA IโVE EVER HAD
This is hands down the BEST PIZZA IโVE EVER HAD IN MY LIFE! I donโt understand why this place has 4 stars, bc that seems ridiculous to me. The service was great, got our food so quickly, and the food was AMAZING. If I could give this a 10 out of 5, I would. LIFE CHANGING PIZZA!

Such amazing food that was faultless. Our waitress was so friendly and lovely and this is a restaurant you absolutely must try for an easy meal that youโre really comfortable in - no frills, but just great food.
Be the first to ReplyRude and arrogant
The worst possible experience. The server was super arrogant and rude. Made the reservation through Resy and I let them know as well. The guy had no respect even for a 80 year old lady sitting in the table before cooking out with his rude and obnoxious language. For people biding they restaurant, this is a white guy, with a heavy beard. Seems like some restaurants did not learn anything like being human even after 2 years of almost no business. Keep away.
Be the first to Replyvery enjoyable meal even if pizza just OK
very friendly and efficient service. great and interesting selection of wine BTG. Enjoyed a couple different glasses. Enjoyed the anchovy caesar anchovy baby gem salad and shishito peppers. underwhelmed by the kind of doughy / chewy pizza crust. expected more crispy pop from the crust. outer edge was nice but center was too thick and doughy. great for the take away pizzas they sell around town but expected more pop at the source
Be the first to ReplyNeighbourhood Italian with a great back deck
Donโt go expecting fancy. This is a really neighbourhood style pizza place with a slim menu of 20 items or less. What they make is delicious, nicely presented and fantastic.
We had the bacon pizza and the beet salad. Both were perfectly prepared and full of high quality ingredients. Tasty and unpretentious.
The back deck is covered with loads of warm heaters for the cool nights. Itโs protected from wind and probably rain. A great cozy spot for a nice dinner.
Neapolitan style pizza
This place was recommended as a good place to scratch our Pizza itch while in San Francisco. They serve a thin, crispy crust style pizza and it was very good. I had Sausage and my wife had Margherita pizza and both were very good. Service was friendly and prompt. We also enjoyed their Prosecco before and during the meal. Well worth the walk from our hotel.

Soggy brick oven pizza with an overpriced wine list. Not worth going to. We stayed next store at the Petite Auberge and rated this meal as the worst of our two week trip to California. The Pinot Noir was over priced at $64 per bottle and the grilled Cauliflower at $15 was disappointing.
Be the first to ReplyGreat pizza on patio dining
Stopped here for dinner as my girlfriend lives down the street from here and we've always wanted to try it.
The pizza was very good, not too doughy and crispy. And the service was very good as was the patio dining area.
For those visiting from other states, many restaurants can seem pricey here but with cost of leases, labor etc., it's what we adjust to in support to keep them thriving. And San Franciscans and Bay Area people LOVE dining out :-)
Great Pizza Find
We were staying by Union Square and wanted to find someplace for our first night in SF. I did a lot of research for a place nearby and found Del Popolo. Wow! I am so happy we went here! We sat outside on their cute patio and the food was fantastic. We ordered the stone fruit starter and the liver pate to begin with. So many amazing flavors in both dishes. Our server recommended we have the potato pizza, so we ordered it and added on Guanciale. One of the best pizza's I have ever had. All the flavors went so well together. I would love to come back here the next time I'm in SF
Be the first to ReplyGreat for a couples dinner.
Chose Del Popolo because it was near our hotel in Nob Hill instead of walking up to Little Italy. Turned out to be a great decision! The restaurant had a great intimate interior and charm. Enjoyed everything with a carafe of house white. Started with the olive oil focaccia appetizer...simple bread but so good! Then we enjoyed the Bianca Pizza...really enjoyed it, especially for $19. Finished the evening with the Dark Chocolate Ganache Tart...the fennel dust added an unexpected spice making it one of the best desserts weโve had in a while. Go to Del Popolo even if it isnโt near your hotel.
Be the first to ReplyWife felt awful of the treatment.
The food was good, me and my wife ordered a bottle of wine ($64) and were enjoying our time and ordered three different appetizers, to keep consuming before ordering the pizza. But before we ordered a second bottle of wine and the pizza. I guess it was the supervisor told us we could order the pizza but they were going to give us the bill because we had to leave to have the table available. The waitress by the way was great and was so embarrassed, so we ordered the pizza. But when it was ready they brought us the bill and said the pizza was to go. That was an awful feeling. We asked to take the pizza off of our bill because we were not eating it there and we didn't order it to go. Very disappointed.

We had a wonderful dinner at Del Popolo! Great food and great service. During Covid, they are serving on a back deck that feels like a secret garden.
Be the first to ReplyBetter The Second Time and The First Time was Great!
Went for an early pre theatre dinner with friends. Arrived at 5:00 PM to be among the line of others with reservations to be seated.
The waitress was wonderful, friendly eager to answer questions and make suggestions which added to the experience.
Our group of eight adults ordered a variety of pizzas and small plates to share. Once again Del Popolo did not disappoint.
We had:
Pizza with house made pork assuage, Pizza with added salami, Pizza with Mitake mushrooms and Margherita pizza. All were amazing and the least favorite was the Margherita as it was bland compared to the others. Also shared were the Grilled asparagus, Smoked trout, Oven roasted Romanesco (WOW !! SOOOOOOGOOD) and House made sorbet.
