Really great food that is healthy and very reasonably
Really great food that is healthy and very reasonably priced for the area. My favorite thing about DIG is the price point, followed by how healthy the food options are. Some cons: employees aren't very friendly, and food can be on the blander side, but it's still moderately flavorful.
Be the first to ReplyMust commend the guy who hooked me up last night.
Went in around 830p on Sunday 26 Feb, Spanish* fella** with beard*** at the counter walked me through all the offerings and how the ordering scheme works. (Sidebar: the beets/brown rice/cauli/mac&cheese combo ain't half bad.) Very informative spiel, dude** really sold it. Bravo!* canceled for assuming ethnicity** canceled for assuming gender (sex?)*** canceled for assuming coif preference
Be the first to ReplyThe food was delicious and the staff friendly.
I will definitely be coming back. Good for meat eaters and vegans. I like the char chicken on rice with carrots and broccoli.
Be the first to ReplyDon't ever order Dig from Uber Eats.
It'll just never show up and they won't answer the phone. What a frustrating waste.
Be the first to Replyalways a good healthy lunch or healthy dinner.
Consistently good quality, quickly made and nice customer service at this location anyway. Mac and cheese and brocoli are my go to sides!

Dig has the best food and chicken even though it looks like turkey. Their service is great and they have nice people. I give it a 5!

This place is really skimping on their stuff and uped their prices. 17$ for a half full bowl. Disappointed. I'd recommend sweet green shrooms the street. Live next door and gym across the street. I won't be going back anymore.

DIG is one of those fast casual spots you go to for your salad fix. While I heard rave reviews, I wasn't too impressed by my Alaskan salmon kale Caesar salad and charred broccoli. I DoorDashed it and was a bit disappointed by how overbooked and rubbery the salmon was. Nothing was terrible about my salad or the broccoli, but it wasn't impressive enough for me to pay a visit or order takeout from again.

Been to this location 8 times, fantastic and efficient lunch take-out. Always nice to get some veggies in the diet when I'm in New York. The charred chicken is very good.

I heard the food here was good, so why not. Not sure where my photos are, but will add them later.I must say, definitely NOT a rum of the mill type of menu. Nothing is as it seems. Party of four, with 3 hard to please teens. And they enjoyed every bit of their selections as did I.I was thinking of 4 stars but had to allocate three because of the prices. A little above grade for me. So this was a one and done visit. The food was really good though. So maybe on an impulse when am in the neighborhood. I would definitely encourage everyone to give them a try ... cause the food was really really good!

I hadn't been to dig in quite some time and was excited to see one was right around the corner from the theater I was about to attend. I ordered the Brown rice with sweet potatoes, cashew kale salad, and the regular roast chicken. I watched the cook prepare all the food and lost track of time.I was told the sweet potatoes would take 3 minutes, when the lady started my order. It took so long she ended up leaving the line and going on break.... then returned and it was still not ready. She had completely forgotten about me, so the other employee, a gentleman on the line finished my order. He was super kind and ended up giving me a free drink, since I waited patiently. There was no receipt or menus, but the total was roughly $15. I found a clean quiet corner and enjoyed my lunch. I skipped the sauces, as I enjoy their food as is. Some hearty and light at the same time! Still some of the best food ever.
Be the first to ReplyI ordered delivery from here tonight.
I ordered the salmon bowl on a bed of garden greens with mint, with Brussels sprouts and garlic parm cauliflower. I also got a side of the meatballs.Meatballs arrived hot. The marinara was delicious!! Thick and a little spicy. There was a perfect amount for the three meatballs. The meatballs were cooked perfect and just the right size. Great flavor with the chicken and beef together. Would definitely order them again. $5.70 for threeThe wild Alaskan salmon bowl was good. I wouldn't order the salmon again only because it was a small cut of fish. Too small for $15.82. The roasted Brussels sprouts were cooked perfect and had a sweet touch. They added sunflower seeds which I didn't know. I found out after I was eating them. Would have been good to know if I had diverticulitis lol. They should note it on their menu. The fresh greens with mint were good too. I like the mint added for fresh flavors. The cauliflower was my favorite part of the bowl. The garlic and parm flavors with the cauliflower was excellent. Highly recommend! Cooked perfect. Would get the cauliflower again.Delivery arrived early! Love that. :) overall I would order again from Dig.
Be the first to ReplyHave been to other Dig locations and liked them.
Not this one. I've been there 3 times in the past month for takeout, and each time either a server, cashier, delivery person, or all of the above, have not worn masks--outrageous since sign outside clearly says patrons must do so (and we're approaching year 3 of a pandemic). As for food, the veggies and grains are fine--but the fish tastes spoiled. I'm done with this location.

This is one of my go to's for a quick yet pretty healthy dinner. If you haven't done dig yet, know that the mac & cheese is fire- but heavy. I typically go for the broccoli and sweet potato. Know that you can also get a sauce included which I definitely recommend on the side. I usually get the chicken breast and it's been hit or miss on portion size, but this location appears to be better than others in this department.

NYC has a lot of healthy food restaurants that charge an arm and a leg for a minimal set of food. Dig is one of the exceptions (probably THE exception). The great thing is that the price doesn't compromise the quality of food. I highly recommend getting the mac-and-cheese with your meal.
Be the first to ReplySeriously working in the UWS is a gift and a curse.
The gift...the food choices. The curse...the mount of money I'll be spending on the food choices. LOL!I came here to grab lunch on a recommendation. I got the chef special of steak & eggs, with brussels. It also comes with spiced farro with butternut squash, with sriracha on the side, but I switched out the siracha for the garlic aioli. Can we say....YUMMY!! I was presently surprised at how flavorful everything was. I mean not surface flavor, but flavor throughout. I ate half and had the rest for dinner.I can't wait to try my own bowl, but that may be awhile b/c everything came up to about $15. If I ate lunch out every workday I would be spending $75...no bueno. I may need to get Mealpal and chose certain days to have lunch in the area. I do know I'll be back here next week...lol!

3.5 / 5.0 - I'd been to a Dig Inn in Midtown, but this was my first time to the UWS location. What I like about Dig is that they use seasonal, locally-sourced produce and is an easy lunch option. The bowl I got this time was quick, but for the quality, it was not worth $14.I chose a Build Your Own Marketbowl with:- Protein: Charred Chicken- Base: Farm Greens with Mint- Side: Jasper Hill Mac & Cheese- Side: Lemon Basil Summer SquashThey only had scraps left of the Farm Greens, but I chose it as the base, expecting they'd add more fresh ones. But all they did was give me the scraps left at the bottom of their bowl, so my bowl had very little greens. The chicken was plentiful and the Mac & Cheese was good, but I would have liked to have more greens. I went during lunchtime, so it wasn't like it was the end of the day. Could have been a one-off, but not the best experience.

*3.5/5Like a Chipotle for healthy-ish, American food! Shot in the dark picking out my bowl -- mixed greens as a base, a beet, corn, and parmesan (oops) salad as a side, sweet potato chunks as the other side, marinara meatballs for my protein, and homemade sriracha for a sauce. If that doesn't sound like it goes together, that's because it didn't. Would be happy to come back and order something more cohesive. Wish they had nutrition icons or at least labels on their food, it's a slight hassle to have to point and say "that one, please."
Be the first to ReplyFor a $15 salad, the portion size was extremely small.
I got the herb chicken kale salad and the flavor was amazing but there was a very small amount of lettuce. They tried to hide the fact that there was little lettuce by putting the dressing in a big container in the salad bowl. When I took it out it left very little salad. This was disappointing as it was not a filling meal. If they added more lettuce to actually fill the bowl it would make it worth the money.
