The ambiance at this restaurant is romantic.
The service we received from Nathan (our waiter) was top-notch. He was courteous and professional when we had to return something we ordered because it wasn't properly salted. Instead of being rude, his manager got involved and not only did he make up for it but went above and beyond to make our dinner memorable. The Miso Salmon is fantastic and I would wholeheartedly recommend it.
Be the first to ReplyI had such a great experience at this restaurant for dinner
I had such a great experience at this restaurant for dinner with my friends! We were a group of 5 and had an amazing corner table outside on the second floor. I love all the special nuances of this restaurant. The vibe is wonderful and the service is also lovely (shoutout Oscar!)They give us a box to put our phones in so we can be present with one another. The decor on the outside rooftop area is lovely. The menu is unique and there's plenty of amazing option. You order an entree and get an appetizer with it.Frozen Sangria: 8.5/10Fruity and refreshing. Great that it's frozen given the heat in Miami.Cornbread: 9/10I love cornbread so this was the perfect pre appetizer for us all to share. The cornbread was fairly moist and a bit crumbly. Very enjoyable, hot, and fresh!Lobster quesadilla: 9/10This quesadilla was good! The lobster was made into a pate filling so it wasn't just a few chunks of lobster. You really hit the taste of lobster throughout! Nicely crispy and cheesy!Truffle Linguini: 9/10I really enjoyed this pasta! The portion was a good size. The mushroom truffle sauce was very creamy and had plenty of the truffle flavor - my favorite! It was simple but perfect for what I wanted and expected.I really loved this restaurant and had a great experience. All my friends loved their food and we left happy and full after the wonderful vibe and experience at Dolores but you can call me Lolita.

Visited for drinks last weekend to start off my husband's birthday weekend. We sat at a high top on the rooftop and informed our waitress we would only be having drinks. Shout out to Denise. In spite of the restaurant being busy, she did not make us feel that we were imposing by taking up a table for drinks. I mentioned it was my husband's birthday and she went out of her way to bring out a sparkler to celebrate. We had a couple of great espresso martinis and asked them to get a little creative with some lychee shots. Also really good. Will be back for food and drinks next time. Thank you Denise!

The name of the restaurant caught our attention while searching for a restaurant in the Brickell neighborhood. Dolores But You Can Call Me Lolita exceeded our expectations. It was the perfect location for our birthday celebration. The food was amazing. The service was exceptional, and management was very inviting. We were greeted by hostess Kyler, as we entered the restaurant. We immediately felt part of the family as we entered this historic fire house. Kyler was incredibly efficient as we were escorted to a beautiful table upstairs by the candles and a fire pole. Our server's, Fermin, recommendations were spot on and we enjoyed the paella and the truffle homemade linguini. No dinner would be complete without a restaurant tour from the manager, Lenny. We were able to view the wine tasting room, outdoor decks, kitchen and private dining areas. We loved Dolores But You Can Call me Lolita and will be back. And tomorrow we will be trying their sister restaurant Crazy About You.

The food was delicious and served at the appropriate times adding to the dining experience. Service was outstanding. Everyone went out of their way to make sure we were happy and felt special. The ambiance adds to letting the guests feel happy and relaxed. We had a birthday dinner for 10 on 3/12/23 and we will make sure to hold our special events at this wonderful restaurant. Thank you Julian and staff for making this experience unforgettable. The prices were a good value.
Be the first to ReplyMy family and I visited Dolores a few months ago, as my mom
My family and I visited Dolores a few months ago, as my mom & I had been before and had had good experiences. My cousins were here from out of town, and we wanted to introduce them to a new place, but the experience was pretty mediocre. The biggest disappointment was the service when it came to getting a drink. Our server told us that, in that moment, they were moving their bar (I suppose meaning moving the alcohol from one bar to another), and we couldn't have any cocktails. He said he'd try to see what he could do, but nothing could be done, all we could have was wine. The food was a disappointment for the price. We had salads, and honestly, I could've made a better salad at home. For what they charge, we felt service & food was sorely lacking.

Be the first to ReplyLocation, location, location! - This restaurant is located
Location, location, location! - This restaurant is located in the heart of Brickell. That said, if you are not walking, or Ubering there, I suggest you give yourself extra time to navigate through the hectic streets of Brickell to find parking. I ended up valeting a block away at Mary Brickell village, but there is also a garage nearby. I usually do not start my reviews talking about parking, but it was such a mission for me, and I do not want others to make the same mistake I did and arrive late to their reservation. The great thing about this restaurant being in a central location, is if you want to hang out in the area before of after your reservation there are lots of restaurants, bars and shops within walking distance. Ambiance - Now back to the restaurant - Like most Brickell restaurants, this is a well-decorated, photogenic restaurant. There is indoor and outdoor seating. We sat outside on the rooftop patio, which had a nice vibe and views of the colorful buildings. Luckily, we had seats in the shade, because it started to get pretty hot. Food - The food was not bad, but not great either. This is the reason for the four stars. Surprisingly, the star of the show was a cornbread. The prices were reasonable though.Service - We received great service - No complaints. Our server was very nice and our food and drinks came out quickly. We had an 11:30 AM brunch reservation, and the restaurant was pretty empty, so I'm sure that played a part.

Located in a unique, historical venue, we had to give this restaurant a try. Unfortunately, we didn't have reservations for outside seating - which is very popular - but we enjoyed the interesting menu in the lovely upstairs dining room. The menu is prefix in three categories with plenty of choices. Fun!

The Mexican Oxtail Tacos are magnificent!! The meat was super tender! I also had the Seafood paella which was very flavorful. The only downside was my mussels cane closed which means they were either dead when cooked or weren't cooked long enough. I also had a few mussels shells in my food, but that kinda expected if the shells break.

Sat at a table for 15 minutes had to yell to speak with the waiters to try to put in an order. They put their hand up to shush me off both times. The waitstaff is incompetent and they overcharged our drinks because they were seemingly upset we asked them to do their job. Do not go here.

Visited this place on spring break and the workers were not pleasant or helpful. We walked in shortly before close and they acted like we were bothering them. We ordered 4 drinks and and none of them were made right or worth the the money. The rooftop is nice, but the indoor atmosphere feels/smells a bit like a funeral home or antique store. Go to SoCal Cantina instead.
