Best GF pizza ever
Best gluten free pizza I have ever had. Authentic old school NY ambiance (nothing fancy) but thatโs exactly what you want in a pizza place. I would ignore other reviews complaining about customizations - this is a Michelin-recognized establishment, of course they take their offerings seriously. If you want to customize/build your own, go to Pizza Pizza.

A crazy great variety of pizzas, AND they can all be made gluten free as well. Theyโve perfected the wood fired oven pizza.
Be the first to ReplyArrogant attitude! Our way or no way!
As a visitor from Liverpool, uk, I was looking for a good pizza. As I was staying local, I decided to try it with my wife. I'm an Italian chef by trade taught by a Sicilian so I know how to make a Pizza and more importantly, how a customer should be treated. I usually order a pizza and mix and match to the way I like it. I was gobsmacked to be told they couldn't vary from what was on the menu. All I asked for was extra cheese and olives!! The server had a very arrogant attitude, basically it's their way or no way! When I asked where the cheese was on the pizza I ordered, he actually pointed to two areas where there was a bit of cheese which made me laugh! Keep the customer happy and they will happily return. In this case I won't be when I'm next there which is often.

I wish I could put mixed stars on this review, I loved the gluten free pizza it was amazing, however a restaurant that you have to go by their menus and no adaptions or changes can be made. So no extras but you can take something off if you would like. We offered to pay for the extra and was still refused.

A friend recommended we visit here when in New York and I wasnโt disappointed. A great location close to theatres on Broadway and amazing gluten free pizza
Be the first to ReplyGreat pizza!
Came here for lunch after a long visit at a nearby museum. We were hungry and ready for a good pizza experience. Safe to say Don Antonio delivered, with both excellent service and food.
Be the first to ReplySo authentic - classic pizza with ambiance - great find in the Times Square area
Staying in a local Times Square hotel, we searched up Don Antonio on Trip Advisor to satisfy our need for authentic NY pizza. My wife I, traveling from South Jersey, were seated in the back near the kitchen and got to watch the show. The Italian restaurant was genuine New York. Excellent service, and the small restaurant did not disappoint. The menu is extensive, but we shared a Margherita and chose ground sausage as our topping. The thin crust pie was excellent; small burn scorch marks on the outer crust signified perfection. The tomato sauce was sweet and the pie very tasty. We also ordered their fraticelli - two fried mini calzoni filled with aged provolone and black pepper, but we were unable to eat them after downing the sausage Margherita! We enjoyed them at home, using our air fryer - perfect. The restaurant supports a bar, but we stayed with sodas. Quite the NY experience!

Great brick oven pizza done with quality ingredients. Definitely a step above your typical pizza joint.
Be the first to ReplyDon't order delivery even if you are 2 blocks away
Pizza delivered late 20 min, cold, unsliced and the Sprite was in bottles to our hotel room where there are no bottle openers. What's wrong with cans? Our hotel was listed on the online order form and was only 2 blocks from their location. Pizza tasted good (although cold) but was spoiled by everything else. Don't recommend having it delivered. If I could take back my pre paid tip, I would. Plus, when I went to give them this feedback on their online order form, it wouldn't take it. Gather negative reviews aren't allowed.

A small, rather simple restaurant - but fully occupied with what appeared to be very happy guests. Quick and friendly service, and affordable prices. Can be recommended!

Recently ate here whilst visiting NYC beautiful food, staff lovely. Perfect place for a pizza highly recommend.
Be the first to ReplyDo not eat here
Do not eat here! They wonโt let you order a pizza that you want. You are only allowed to eat what THEY think should go on a pizza! You canโt ADD anything - even if they have it!
Be the first to ReplyAuthentic, delicious pizza. Service was not good unfortunately
We were a walk in on a Monday night around 19.45. The restaurant was packed and the atmosphere good. We were seated immediately. So far so good. The guy asked if we wanted still or sparkling water. When I asked if we could please have filtered (Iโm English so polite is in my DNA) he just looked at me and rudely said - do you mean tap? When I then asked for an old fashioned he looked at me like something on the bottom of his shoe. Honestlyโฆ his tone was so unpleasant. Anyway the service from there was brusque. No smiles, didnโt feel at all welcome. The pizza was good, it is indeed authentic great crust and ingredients. Nice glass of primitivo. Such a shame that the good food was ruined. Unfortunately I would not return.

Burnt crust, soggy bottom not the Neapolitan pizza I hoping for. Wine was not to bad, convenient to theaters

We first wrote a review for this place about 8 or 9 years ago on an NYC visit and this has been the one restaurant we make sure we come back to every time we are in NYC. We ate there for lunch at the bar on our first day arriving and came back for an earlier lunch on a Saturday prior to seeing a matinee nearby. Pizzas are absolutely outstanding whether you go with a red sauce or a white sauce. I always ask for the pizza to be left in the oven a little bit longer than normal because I prefer a cracked blackened top and crispy bottom so I don't have to eat it with a knife and fork but even served at their normal crispiness level they are great. Very friendly staff and bartenders.
Be the first to ReplyFantastic Neapolitan Pizza
Fantastic food and great service. The pizza is simply outstanding. Real Neapolitan flavor. We had a great time with our kids (11 and 5). Service is courteous and quick.
Be the first to ReplyGluten Free Paradise.
This restaurant is can take ANYTHING on the menu and make it gluten free. My wife was who has celiac was extremely excited!!
Be the first to ReplyDid not live up to expectations.
Did not live up to expectations. Hyped on Diners and Drive-Ins plus the boasts that they are the โoriginalโ Neapolitan and the owner is head of the Neapolitan pizza association. We just didnโt find the pizza that great. We understand that Neapolitan means to expect a few charred bubbles, but even though the crust was undercooked and chewy it had an overwhelming burnt taste.
Be the first to ReplyGreat take-away pizza
We got a takeaway from here, getting the Montanara and another pizza. The Montanara was a stand-out good pizza, and definitely worth going out of your way for in a city filled with pizza places.

My daughter and I came here for dinner before a show as it is located conveniently in the theatre district. We arrived around 5:30 without reservations, were seated promptly and the restaurant quickly filled up after we arrived. We ordered drinks and decided to share a Margherita pizza and the Pere & Noci salad (spring mix, fresh pears, walnuts, lemon-olive oil dressing). The food came out in plenty of time and there was plenty to share. Everything about our meal was fresh and delicious! I wish I remembered the name of our waiter because he was outstanding. We would definitely come back here again.
Be the first to ReplyBest Meal of our trip
Fantastic restaurant with many many gluten free options, which is hard to find especially for pizza. Ordered the PISTACCHIO & SALSICCIA and everyone in our party was thumbs up on naming it the best meal of our trip!
Be the first to Replyamazing take away pizza
we got the vegana and the montanaro and both were amazing. Very authentic and fresh. highly recommend!
Be the first to ReplyExtremely pleasant evening
We dined outside and had wonderful atmosphere and service. Our pizza was delicious and salads were fresh and tastey.
Be the first to ReplyRidiculous refusal
Spoke to manager Edberg who says "we cannot put tomato sauce inside the CALZONE. Chef's policy." I want to let the chef and the manager know (from an Italian from Italy) that it is the most ridiculous thing an Italian can hear! I did not ask to change your recipe... ALSO, you can ask to REMOVE an ingredient but you CANNOT put sauce inside the Calzone when you already put it on Top?? Let's stop being all "COOL" about this... you're only gonna lose business for something so little. Especially from your neighbors.
