Best Food Ever!
Absolutely loved the food, it was absolutely delicious and the waiters and waitresses were super nice. First experience of Korean food and found a new favourite!
Be the first to ReplyReasonable K-town BBQ
Reasonable K-town BBQ place food-wise. This is the newer Dons Bogam and it is a large space. The night we went it was not busy and we had a party of 7 with 3 kids. Service was good and they were able to get us food pretty quickly, which happens when there is only 1 other table seated in the entire restaurant. The food was fine but the prices were higher than standard K-town prices. Had the japchae, haemul pajeon, dolsot bibimbap, hyeomit gui, prime chadobalgi, wine samgyeopsal, and we were stuffed by the end of the meal.
Be the first to ReplyNice vibe, decent food
Went here for dinner after stumbling across it the previous night for a drink at the bar.
After being kept waiting for a table round the block we came here.
Hadn’t had Korean food before, but was given a good steer on what to order by a very helpful waitress & the food was cooked at the table in front of us (no idea how authentic this is...).
Lots of side dishes with it (pickles & seaweed & sauces...), & 2 mains + a starter was enough for us both.
Only complaint was that we could smell BBQ on us both for the rest of the night, but the food was decent & the place has a nice atmosphere.
Would I go again?
Not sure, enjoyed it but maybe not really for me too often?
A nice change though
My First Visit
My wife and her friend had been here before, but it was my first visit. Wife's friend ordered for us, because she is Korean and knows the dishes well. Let me quantify my review by saying this is my 2nd visit to a Korean BBQ, and it's not something I especially like at this point. The food was good, but there were a lot of little dishes that didn't appeal to me. The guy doing the cooking was very hard-working, but the service was slow (not his fault). The bill was expensive in my opinion, close to $200 for 3 of us ($42 of it was for a glass of prosecco and 2 glasses of red wine). Very loud noise levels! I would not visit again, but dining partners liked their overall experience.

Went on a Saturday night- tried to go to the all you can eat BBQ across the street but lines were so long we went here instead: glad we did.
Apparently quite new, it's a large venue, with (for some reason), full wall screens showing picturesque scenes from around the world.
In summary- four of us, three of whom had never had KBBQ before. Ordered Beef Platter and Seafood Platter, and Noodles. Came with a good range of dips, and various small dishes- including kimchi, artichoke, anchovy, etc.
Served at table by waiter service- so not DIY as previous KBBQ I've been to, but no bad thing for less experienced diner.
It wasn't all you could eat, but to be honest, couldn't have eaten anymore any way.
Quality of food was excellent: beef consisted of short rib, rib eye, skirt steak & brisket, seafood consisted of Shrimps, tuna, mussels & scallops.
Of the two the beef platter was agreed to be the better by all four of us: that could just be a matter of taste, as both were excellent, but the beef lended itself better to the style. The tuna was excellent but personally I tend to prefer my tuna raw...
All very well cooked and presented, and a good range of flavours: all three having it first time were highly impressed. Drinks were reasonably priced: note that they do not serve coffee.
All in all, a very good dining experience and would go back.
Excellent Korean Bbq
Restaurant is relatively new. Sister restaurant is located a few blocks away. Location is modern and spacious. Waiter service was outstanding, helpful and extremely courteous.
Went for lunch. All entrees were delicious! Made with the freshest ingredients and all entrees were authentic Korean cuisine. Free sparkling water was a plus.
Lunch time specials available. Tax, tip and entree, approx $20.
