I had a lovely meal and experience here.
Was planning to visit another Matthew Kenney restaurant & ended up here instead. Feared it would be too casual w bad vegan pizza. But no -- the ambience is warm and inviting. The pizza was AMAZING. So were the caccio e peppe and artichokes we shared, and strawberry lavender CBD mocktails. Our waiter was attentive but not intrusive, and added to our evening with good advice on the menu. Just beautiful and fun all around w/ the creative tasty vegan food.

Be the first to ReplyArtichoke pizza is great- so is the tiramisu.
The salad could be stronger- I have not tried the seasonal one. I'd like to also recognize Employee Christian Adera for her kindness, sweet attitude, input, and overall grace! I hope upper management can recognize her efforts in some way. Please acknowledge her, thank you Christian. :)
Be the first to ReplyLove the potato pizza, chopped salad, and eggplant parmesan.
. Lovely place to eat at.
Be the first to ReplyI've driven by the Plant-based Double Zero Pizza on Lincoln
I've driven by the Plant-based Double Zero Pizza on Lincoln Blvd in Venice many times, and I'm glad I finally checked it off the list. The Sunflower Caesar with romaine, wood-fired croutons, and almond parmesan was a hit with everyone and a must-order. Everything is vegan and they have gluten-free pizza crust that actually tastes really similar to regular thin crust pizza. The pizza had potential, but some serious improvements need to be made to the toppings. Especially the greens. The pesto pizza was good but would have been better without the arugula salad on top.The Truffle Pizza was the best pizza, with cashew cream, wild mushrooms, kale, and lemon vinaigrette. However, I did not find it as truffley as I was expecting, and I'd recommend taking off the greens and eating them separately since they weren't great together. For wine, we enjoyed the Mongrana 2019 from Tuscany, Italy. It's a blend of 50% Sangiovese, 25% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Merlot. Medium-full bodied, notes of dark cherries, 14% ABV. $15/glass. They take reservations on OpenTable, and we were able to get a reservation same-night. The heaters outside weren't working so we were glad that we were able to sit inside, which is a much better atmosphere than sitting on Lincoln.

I have spent a lot of time touring restaurants around the United States for a good slice of vegan gluten free pizza. And I have seen a lot of alternative flours, methods and processes to create a pseudo-gluten pizza. I think that this restaurant needs to work on its creative flair. Personally we ordered 3 pizzas and two appetizers. The only thing we enjoyed was the truffle pizza. That one is actually a tasty treat and slightly resembles a pizza. The other pizzas we ordered tasted like the delicious gluten free crust (which is optimized to say the least). I think that the pesto pizza needs some type of crunch. Perhaps they could sauté the zucchini for a little longer and add some type of balsamic vinaigrette to the arugula. I think this could be a simple addition to complement the design and make it taste better. As far as the artichoke pizza. I think that should be taken off the menu. Apologies for the offense. The artichoke was undercooked and should be roasted and marinated with some type of glaze to make it crunch. The tomatoes were a bit strange. Kind of like putting wet artichokes and pico de gallo on a nice gluten free pizza crust. I don't really know what to say about that pizza. Overall the staff is terrific. Good lighting and interior design. I am not keen on the stools. They are a bit uncomfortable and look like they would be styled in a Japanese fusion restaurant. So let's hit a solid mid range 3/5 restaurant. Sicko design on those crusts Matty K !2/5 pizza design. 1/5 furniture5/5 staff4/5 lighting 1/5 music 5/5 pizza crust

Everything is so dang good here!!! My favorite restaurant for yummy, guilt free food. Recommend the "pepperoni" pizza, meatballs, caesar salad! Best vegan mozzarella cheese you'll ever taste. Low-key vibes with an impressive ambience.
Be the first to ReplyDelicious food! I've gotten takeout from them twice now.
I've ordered a meatball calzone, pepperoni pizza, chopped salad, Caesar salad, and an artichoke pizza; all excellent! The cheese they use is sublime. The price is right in light with what you'd expect from an artisan plant-based pizza. My only complaint is that the tomato sauce they use for their pizza is slightly too sweet for my liking, but my boyfriend loved it! We will be ordering here as often as we can afford!
Be the first to ReplyUnknowingly I booked a vegan Italian restaurant.
I will admit I had doubt reading the menu but the pizza was delicious, the service and very good and the organic wine was awesome, thumbs up!

The absolute best " Eggplant Parm" ever!!!Italians don't frequent Vegan so much. They don't ask and I don't tell them. Delivered HOT and fairly quickly. The pizzas are very good, and very small. Salads are amazing and giant. And it's walking distance if really need beIm not a big fan of the desserts, that's just me.....All the beverages are high end, A good wine is always a great pairing. The service is good. Be kind. We don't think alot about the back kitchen, and we really should. We have no idea how short staffed they may be. I think it's worth the wait. It can be very crowded on the weekends.
Be the first to ReplyI ordered Double Zero for dinner and I was super excited to
I ordered Double Zero for dinner and I was super excited to try their Truffle pizza and also the Cacio e Pepe pasta. I am from Spain, and I have tried many different plant based spots around Europe and now, in the United States. I do not know what happened this time... I could not finish the food and I did not enjoy any bite of it. 1. Truffle pizza - too oily, weird aftertaste even though the pizza base was very good. I do not know if the flavour, the lemon juice and oil overdose or even the kale that did not taste very good (there was more kale than cashew cream or mushrooms) I would rate it at 5.5/10 2. Cacio e Pepe - pasta was not "al dente" it was gooey and the sauce was very heavy for me... I would say that the pasta was better than the pizza 6/10I will try to come back or at least give it a second try (because of the nice reviews) at the restaurant but for now... it is not for me.
Be the first to ReplyAbsolutely amazing!! This vegan pizza restaurant serves
Absolutely amazing!! This vegan pizza restaurant serves absolutely delicious pizza made with vegan cheese (almond, cashew, macadamia and other nuts). The flavors are great! Their potato pizza is must-try! Especially if you like potatoes or having a carbs day.Arugula pesto pizza is super delicious!Margherita pizza is amazing, the tomato sauce is very well balanced and cashew mozzarella compliments it great.Tiramisu is delicious, although it's not quite the traditional tiramisu flavor. It certainly looks like tiramisu but tastes a lot like coconut. It's moist and filling, I like it quite a lot, and highly recommend. Just don't expect tiramisu.Double Zero also has a few (rather limited) wine options, it's a cute and chill place for casual dining and delicious pizza! Highly recommend!
Be the first to ReplyI had ordered the bianca pizza.
The flavors of the pizza were good, however, the crust was not as crispy as expected and it was a little tough to eat. The ambiance of the restaurant was great and the staff was very friendly! Went for lunch over the weekend and parking was easy to find in the surrounding neighborhood.

Love this place! Their pepperoni is my all time favorite pizza, so delicious. Even friends who eat meat love it. If it wasn't a bit pricey, I would go there every week.
Be the first to Reply*** Overall Rating: 4/5 Food Rating: 4/5 Service Rating:
*** Overall Rating: 4/5 Food Rating: 4/5 Service Rating: 3/5 Ambiance Rating: 4/5 I came in for an early and light dinner. Dishes I had: 1. Pasta Bolognese2. Chocolate BudinoBeverage: 1. Golden Pear KombuchaThe Pasta Bolognese was a real - and pleasant - surprise. Overall, this dish is usually made the same or at least similar everywhere I've ever had it. Not here! The dish felt very novel to me and the ingredients combined together created a very interesting take on this classic Italian dish. I wouldn't call myself a foodie but I was impressed! Not sure how I feel about the nuts mixed in though... that might just be a personal thing. The Chocolate Budino, also, was a surprise to me! I've had so many Chocolate desserts such as cakes and sufflés but none of them have ever tasted as different as this one. Different in a good way! Very rich but the whipped cream balanced it out (which is why they provide so much of it, I think). What I was left thinking after tasting just a tiny portion of the menu is that this restaurant excels in taking classics and making them unique to the restaurant - creating a surprise for your tastebuds. Kombucha was not great. Might just be because I'm not big on Kombucha in general but I wish they had some more decent non-alcoholic beverages. Service: This part let me down a bit. When I came in (on my own), there were lots of staff but it seemed no one wanted to approach me and when I sat down, I wasn't assigned a server. I had to flag them down after several minutes of them not looking my way at all. The same experience all throughout. It seems they get a lot of orders online so they don't focus that much on people who dine in but I don't think that should be the trade-off they make. I may have come in alone but this experience will determine whether I come back with friends or not. And that's where the real value is, to me at least. I hope they can work on that. All the interactions I had with them were friendly, just not attentive. That makes all the difference. Ambiance: Apart from Lincoln Blvd being one on the ugliest boulevards I've seen in LA, this place is pretty nice! Not exactly fancy, more on the casual side. The decor inside is simplistic but modern and trendy. I found it funny that they were playing a Greek song (thanks Shazam) when I came in... They could definitely improve cleaning! The table was a bit sticky and bits of collected dust in various areas! *** You're experience here will really vary depending on what you want. If you want chill vibes, surprisingly good food, and simple surroundings with friends - you may have hit the jackpot. If you want something upscale and very attentive service with a huge variety of food, this might not make the cut for you.
Be the first to ReplyThis place rocks.
Do it! Entirely vegan / plant based Ordered the chopped salad. Hearty large salad enough for 2 to split. Olives & banana peppers made it pop.Wanted the pizza but got it Togo so we got the meat lover calzone. The macadamia nut ricotta was delicious. This place has low gluten crust but you wouldn't even know it by the taste! I felt like I was in an authentic NYC Italian restaurant but healthy. Order the calzone you won't regret it. It was also a good size 2 could split.
Be the first to ReplyGreat place for lunch or romantic dinner.
Service was fast and we sat outside. We got the Amelia pizza with gf crust, the chopped salad and fried artichokes. Everything was bomb and the crust was fabulous!

This is hands-down one of the best gluten free crusts we've ever had! We tried the artichoke pizza and the margherita pizza, and we look forward to visiting again to try some of the other ones!

Their Cacio E Pepe and the Baked Meatballs together are amazeballs ! Their pepperoni pizza is good but you have to watch out for the agave. The staff are friendly and the service is great! 9.5/10

Be the first to ReplyThis is hands down our favorite pizza joint ever!!! Ever
This is hands down our favorite pizza joint ever!!! Ever since we started eating vegan, it has been a challenge finding good pizza. When we don't feel like cooking, we splurge get the Margherita, the Cacio e Pepe, Sunflower Caesar, and homemade plant balls. This time we are getting the stuffed portobello and splitting everything. Leftovers are always amazing too. Even the salad! Those croutons!!!! It's great when the pizza gets to us hot! Otherwise we just stick it in the oven. Looking forward to our order. Yummerrrrrzzzz!
Be the first to ReplyPlant based for healthy eating.
The cacio e Pepe was pretty good. The big noodles made it filling. Cost an arm and a leg to eat here. A little bit more flavor or sauce would have been nice.

Definitely some of the best vegan pizza I've had! Went with the classic margherita, it was divine. It had the perfect sauce to cheese ratio and the crust was delicious. The drinks were great too. Will definitely be back!
