My favorite coffee shop and I don't live in Santa Barbara.
Somehow has managed to keep it's quality high even though it's much busier then it used to be
Be the first to ReplyChai was ok.
Tasted a bit watered down to me. Pumpkin spice latte was ok too. I had better.
Be the first to ReplyGood service and good mocha.
I loved the seasonal apple cider. Huge wedge of lemon and a stick of cinnamon yum.
Be the first to ReplyConsistently my favorite coffee shop in SB.
Actually they have the best coffee in general Ive probably ever had. Though I wish theyd start offering caramel as a flavor add in, the vanilla is really really in point. Nice pronounced flavor. And a rare gift is that they have heavy cream as a creamer option. It's a happy day all around whenever I come.
Be the first to ReplyDelicous lattes.
Iced oat milk vanilla latte was superb. Love their plenty of outdoor and indoor seating with wifi available. Dune whole roasted coffee beans are the best for our homemade lattes as well. Staff are happy to welcome us and quick to take and bring out our order. Thank you to Dune for your calm and inviting ambiance. Sweet place to get work done or catch up with fam/friends at the heart of downtown Santa Barbara.
Be the first to ReplyVery good lattes.
Haven't had a chance to check out their other stuff, but definitely go here.
Be the first to ReplyThe espresso was remarkably good.
It was sweet and nutty and comes with a side of bubbly water as a palate cleanser! The baristas were super friendly and kind to our kiddos. This place is worth the walk whenever you are here.
Be the first to ReplyLovely little cafe.
Nice outdoor seating. Pastry selection changes slightly every day. Coffee is quite strong, latte art is on point. Price is totally fair. Not a tourist trap.
Be the first to ReplyCute coffee shop on state street.
Friendly service. I had an iced matcha latte with oat milk and a splash of vanilla for a little sweetnesss. A tasty afternoon pick me up.
Be the first to ReplyMy go-to daily coffee place.
Really good specialty pour-overs too. Seems they have changed pastry supplier recently --I miss the specialty French pastries they used to have.

ATMOSPHERE Modern, hipster, some outdoor seating at the front and more at the back entrance. SERVICECheery and happy to answer questions about milk alternatives and sugar content in beverages. FOOD/BEVERAGESI find most places sweeten their matcha mix, and if you're used to that you might find Dune's matcha rather bitter. However, a stevia packet solved that issue for me. And all the pastries looked excellent. Overall:Solid spot to get caffeinated, read, meet up, etc. but there are cheaper coffee shops off State St.
Be the first to ReplyCoffe and ambiance was great.
Sadly they didn't mix my drink very well but still good. Prices are normal

The baristas were friendly and quick, and the oat milk latte I had was delicious. Nice location on State St., too.

Friendly staff and great bakery options (but they run out, so get there early). There are no outlets for the tables so don't plan on doing work there without charging beforehand. I recommend the almond croissant! A new SB favorite spot!

Get their iced latte with oat milk for the best drink to sip while walking around downtown!! Perfect sweetness and creaminess.

Came with my wife for our first time while visiting Santa Barbara... they were AMAZING! Gunner, Carolina and Hayden were absolutely incredible. From explaining their drinks to giving us a sample. They really made us feel at home and their Avocado toast is to die for! Recommend for everyone to swing by and try!

Ok so, I don't actch drink coffee, and I usually don't drink caffeine, but I came all the way from Los Angeles and was feeling shrimpy and sleepy, so I thought I'd break with tradition and get some caffeine. I enquired about the Arnold Palmer, I was told I could get it with black tea, green tea, and herbal... I chose the black at the suggestion of the barista. And let me tell you, that drink slaps, not only was it generally scrumptious it was surprisingly fruity (like me, tbh) it was totally invigorating!Do not sleep on Dune, they know what's up.Oh, my friend who got the coffee said it was decent, but she's a coffee snob. I was very looking forward to trying this place when I was in town but It didn't live up to my expectation. I ordered a latte and it was luke warm and mediocre.

Love this spot! Great customer service,Great coffee and their pastries are so so yummy!
Be the first to ReplyGreat coffee spot.
.. Two fabulous outdoor patios, cool decorations & have the cinnamon powder which is a plus... Their coffee is very good and it's a nice place to relax & socialize or get work done. They have good banana bread too. The only drawback is they don't have a real large American coffee. Everything in America is huge from the food portions to the trucks everywhere etc. They need a real large coffee like a venti at Starbucks or MCD large. They can charge a few extra bucks people will pay. It will be perfect coffee shop then with real large American coffees for fluffy Americans like myself . I used to come here a lot. Still a great spot.

They used to have the most terrible, harassing neighbors, (Vine Vera), where men would rush you on the sidewalk to try to hard sell to vulnerable and scared women...face creams. This is why I've never come here before because men would try to grab me on this corner. LUCKILY, Vine Vera has shut down so if you are a woman, you will be able to actually enjoy strolling near this corner spot again and grab some coffee or tea. The pandemic provided more seating out on the street, but honestly, without the pandemic, this place would be narrow and tight, and not the most charming place to meet with friends or relax. It's more of a "order and grab," kinda place. They do have a little back patio around the corner, which was empty, and will be my little secret. The matcha latte with oat milk was great. The croissants are average, not exceptional, but for a quick pick-me-up, Dune got the job done. The young and energetic staff are very adorable. I do appreciate their location, but it's not a destination place, just a stopping point while you stroll along State Street.
Be the first to ReplyCoffee & avocado toast & cinnamon bun deserve 5 stars.
The outdoor seating area brings it down to four. Nice pour overs with great coffee & very nice staff.
