I'm very happy with my purchases! Had dental work and needed to eat soft foods for lunch and dinner. Well, let me tell you those crispy potatoes are both crispy and soft! With scallions and onions so nice!! Th grilled cheese was perfect and the curly fries seasoned well. Lunch and dinner is set. I also shared with two people and they also loved the flavor!

So I got a gift card for my birthday last year and finally decided to use it for a pre-Valentine's romantic dinner. We had called ahead, so when we arrived there was a less than 5 minute wait wherein we absorbed the relaxing if slightly damp outside dining area atmosphere. It looks like a great place to wile away an afternoon trying any or many of the 48 beers on tap. I saw a Tiki bar at one end, which would have mad appeal on a sunny day. Summoned to our hefty wooden booth, we were immediately enamored with the libraryesque atmosphere. This is our kinda place. The booths, wood with sunken candle niches with fake candles and real votives on the solid tables. The table seating, gorgeous high-backed studded leather chairs surrounding solid wood tables. Masculine but not exclusionary. I wanted to try many beers, and asked if there was a flight available. Like many airlines today, I was told no, but unlike air travel, I was offered another option: tasting glasses at ~$3/ea. Exactly the same thing, different name LOL I perused the fantastically written beer menu which is on the nose as far as description. I can't do better. My choices were exactly as advertised! I put them in the correct order for enjoyment and will be back for more!In the order I enjoyed them (of course I did intermittent sipping) which is opposite the pic: Little Brett Corvette (the funk is banana), Paloma Gose (kinda flat. She brought me some from the other tap and it was alive with pleasure), Sour Cherry Pineapple, House Belgian Dubbel, and the guest star NC's Divine Barrel Carolina Cobbler. OMG Y'ALL this is dessert in a glass. You smell the tart cherry pie filling, the flaky crust, the butter. You taste it ALL. This sweetness is my weakness. The holidays in a glass. A hug in Grandma's kitchen. A perfect wrap to a lovely meal. And I have yet to get to the meal. Appetizers of escargot and pimento cheese with a unique spin. This place wants to honor true Southern cuisine and the contributions of all cooks, not just the fancy ones. You feel the Gullah/Geechee influence in the spiced and nutty pimento cheese, with simple homey Ritz crackers to enjoy, and sweet cane syrup that makes it decadent with the peanuts. The escargot was perfectly tender, grounded with a green and herbaceous garlicky sauce and crispy bread to sop up the fragrant flavorful oil. They brought us a complimentary fried cabbage salad and again I was impressed by the melding of classic Southern cuisine with a dash of Asian nuance. I see where they're going and I like it. Hubby ordered a steak with crispy potatoes and it was heavenly. I need to know the secret to these potatoes because he may start camping out in that booth if I don't. I ordered the pickled shrimp because I love seafood and always want to try new things.Unfortunately, the pickled shrimp was underwhelming. The rye and pickled vegetable flavor overwhlemed everything else. The shrimp were kinda sad and small to begin with and then they had been cut in half! However, my server noticed my sad face immediately and asked what was wrong and how could she help. Incredibly attentive and caring! I hate to complain but told her the deal and we decided I should try a crab cake. She left me to pick out the shrimp to eat (no shrimp left behind!) and took away the rest and brought me a lovely, lemony, meaty crab cake with her apologies and meanwhile I am apologizing for complaining LOL Anyway the crab cake was great and we were stuffed, but we got dessert to go: 3 Layer Almond Toffee Cake. They packaged it beautifully with the toffee and mousse separate, and it was as incredible at home as in the restaurant. I will absolutely be back, this is a place you can take anyone from casual friends, to businesspeople you want to impress, to family you want to show the best of Charleston. Wonderful ambiance, incredible friendly staff, and delicious creative cuisine. This is a can't miss!

Need a restaurant for 13 people? Look no further than Edmund's Oast Restaurant! Out of all the group meals I have been to I was quite impressed with our entire experience. I booked our reservation three weeks in advance. I had read the reviews that said Edmund Oast was a must-dine restaurant for large groups so I figured best to get our reservation in. They were gracious and accommodating over the phone. Upon arriving I was impressed. They had a slightly covered patio area that was large enough for our large group as well as everyone else. There was a bar outside that we were able to grab a drink to sip on while we waited for our table to be available since we arrived early. Just as reserved our table was ready and we were told to sit at the second of the two long communal tables. I was captivated by the decor. It felt like I was dining in a modern day brew hall with the small kegs along the one wall, the long communal tables, and the dim light. It was a very warm atmosphere. We had two waiters who assisted us - one was in training and the other was mentoring. They were fantastic! They never missed a beat and provided personal service as though we were a small, intimate party. It was incredible. I loved their recommendations and I appreciated their humor. The food was wonderful. The pimento cheese was interesting; spicy a bit? It was good enough our table had two. I ordered the Edmund Oast burger and couldn't have been happier. It was juicy, savory, and just delicious. I also ordered the crispy garlic potatoes which I didn't like as much but that was a texture preference since it wasn't quite potato pillows and more like potato pancakes. The cocktails were great. The margarita was super smooth from outside. The gimlet packed a punch despite being very drinkable and well balanced. Our entire party had a fantastic time!

We had a phenomenal time for an impromptu date night at Edmund's Oast. The lighting makes a perfect setting for intimacy and the large beer selection is unmatched. Their local brews are artfully crafted and the staff has a wonderful working knowledge of all drinks and spirits. Our server for the evening was Vinnie and he made us feel so welcome. He made my husband a great suggestion on Japanese whiskey which he thoroughly enjoyed. Meanwhile, we ordered dessert to share. We had the "Sigh of Lima." This was a delicious treat which was so decadent and indulgent. Heather Hutton is a genius when it comes to desserts and shows her mastery of the craft. To top it off they had several fire pits and heat lamps outside to enjoy the fresh air and beautiful patio! Please come here and enjoy the great food, wine, and drinks accompanied by fantastic service!

Very pleased with our first trip to Edmunds Oast restaurant! We ordered the Korean spicy meatballs, the pork skirt steak, and the fried chicken. I would say the pork skirt steak was the best of the three, the farro and shiitake mushrooms combining for a unique and flavorful dish. The Korean meatballs and the fried chicken were both tasty, just less adventurous, but that's our fault for selecting those. What they provided was well prepared.Somewhat small menu, but everyone was able to find something interesting to select. In addition, the night we went they had several exciting dessert options to choose from. I chose "The Sigh of Lima" as much for the name as for the ingredients, and boy did I choose wisely! Their take on the Peruvian dessert was simply excellent. I had planned to take it home, but one sample turned into devouring it completely at the table.Edmunds will be on our regular rotation, and great for out of town guests.

We ate at the outdoor Bower bar the other afternoon and were the only ones there besides one other couple. They require ordering at the bar and the hostess delivered our food. The bartender, who didn't even wait on us, automatically tipped herself 20% (almost $20) which we saw when the bill was delivered. For this reason, we will not return.

Our table of nine was very well taken care of by the server, Will D. when we visited Edmunds Oast this past weekend. Will was extremely knowledgeable with the menu, from drinks, to appetizers, to entrees, to dessert. He answered questions and recommended excellent choices that we all enjoyed very much. He suggested two entrees for my husband and I, and brought extra plates for us to share. Will was very attentive to everyone in our group- (we had multiple drinkers at our table) and he didn't miss a beat. What a great experience we had celebrating my oldest daughter's birthday. Would definitely recommend!

This is a very spacious restaurant with a great outdoor atmosphere. I grabbed the fish sauce & vinegar chips and guava coconut cheesecake to go. The chips taste only like potato, no vinegar, no sauce, and disappointing. The cheesecake was very moist and not too coconutty, I loved it, don't know if the ice cream selection compliment it though.
Be the first to ReplyThe atmosphere was amazing.
The weather outside helped that day as we sat under a huge pavilion. They had some delicious drinks other than just beer. Their shaved pork hoagie was delicious. Will definitely be going back. I ordered their artisan burger which was also delicious, I would just ask for mustard on the side if you are not a mustard lover.
Be the first to ReplyOk, so this place offers 2 separate dining experiences.
We ate outside, but the manager was nice enough to make me a Sazerac even though that's only an inside cocktail. This was the best Sazerac I have ever had, and the bartender brought me the extra Absinthe, chilled and delicious! I also had the "red wedding" and that was awesome. Who thought of this? Drink too early and it tastes like Makers Mark, drink too late and it becomes too sweet!! For food we had a Po'Boy that was awesome, amazingly delicious fried chicken with pasta salad and collard greens. The Korean meatballs were also great. However....and this is BIG. The dessert here, the baked Alaska, was hands down the best dessert in Charleston. Better than Kaminskys and Carmella's. If you want something sweet and delicious go here and get dessert!!!!

One of my regular stops when visiting Charleston. Always great food. Cool atmosphere. Really good beer selection and tasty beverages. Staff is always fast and friendly.

I visited both the restaurant and the brewing company location and no offense to the brewing company location, but the restaurant blew it out of the water! Great vibes, amazing food, quality beer, and the staff was super friendly and attentive.
Be the first to ReplyAmazing & beautiful scenery in & outside of the restaurant!
Amazing & beautiful scenery in & outside of the restaurant! i had the rose seltzer which was absolutely fantastic. Very light, also bubbly & a good seltzer mix. I always got the meat lovers pizza to wash it down & not pictured was the Cuban which was absolutely fantastic. My pizza was crispy & good although the meat made it greasy so just add a meat or 2 if you are looking for some protein. The customer service was absolutely IMPECCABLE as well! We had said we had never been there before & they took amazing care of us! Will certainly be back my next Charleston visit. YOU CANT BEAT THE 4 beers for $12 flight

Love love love EO's beer and I've been meaning to try their restaurant for the last few months! We decided to get takeout during our first night in Charleston and I'm so glad we chose Edmunds Oast. We ordered their garlic potatoes which were crispy, creamy, salty with a burst of umami flavor and their classic Italian sandwich topped with their homemade giardinara. YUM. One of the top Italians I've ever had and I've had quite a few. We finished with their caramel cake which was 15 layers of delicious caramel cream and yellow cake. Absolutely recommend!
Be the first to ReplyGreat brewery in Charleston.
They have indoor and outdoor seating but we opted to sit outside. There is plenty of space to sit and enjoy a drink. They have QR codes on the tables where you can scan the menu which I like. For beer, they don't do flights but they offer small pours. They also have cocktails and frozen drinks. We ordered a couple of beers and frozen drink to share. We also split an order of the fried chicken. The food and drinks were good and the service was great! The staff took such good care of us and were accommodating of our little one. Loved the patio space too!

Edmund's Oast on Morrison Drive in Charleston is a great place to go for delicious food and drinks. I really like their indoor and outdoor space with plenty of room to enjoy everything. The staff here is very friendly and accommodating to make sure that you have a really good experience. Well worth a visit every time.
Be the first to ReplyI really enjoyed the food and drinks here.
The spicy Korean meatballs are spicy but really good and different- personally i love a spicy-sweet combo and this hit the spot. The frozen drinks were really good, as was the pimento cheese, and my crunchy salad with salmon. It was nice to eat outside and a fun place to eat with friends, I'd definitely go again.

Showed up tonight for dinner with my family (a Friday night) only to be told it has been bought out the next 2 nights by wedding parties. No warning anywhere on the website or anywhere else. Rethink the drive there and time if they aren't open on the weekends. Super disappointing.

Nice patio, indoor is fine also. Different menus depending on where seated. Last time had the market fish (mahi this time) salad. Best fish I've had in a while. Probably my favorite SC brewer, so not much more I could ask for.

Be the first to ReplyWe recently needed to put together a rehearsal dinner for
We recently needed to put together a rehearsal dinner for about 90 people, followed by a "post-toast" party for an additional 40 or so. You need to understand that we live in Austin, so everything I needed to accomplish had to be done from over 1,000 miles away. I looked (online of course) at several of the gorgeous venues available in Charleston, but since Edmonds is one of bride and groom's favorite restaurants called them first. They were available, and the Bower adjacent to the courtyard in back sounded perfect. Enter their AMAZING event coordinator, Emily. She explained the process, as well as the possibilities, and provided the information that I would need to get started. She stayed in touch, and as the time grew closer, helped tremendously in tying down the details, including several conference calls with the bride. She is obviously very well versed in calming nerves, and unbelievably patient (with me !). She happily coordinated with the floral designer, had folks get sound equipment set up that we would need for the toasts, and described how it would all work. Now, for the results. It was EPIC!!! Let me say that again, EPIC!!! The bride and groom were completely overwhelmed at the "reveal", and they and the almost 90 guests are still talking about it! Mind you, this was the precursor to the most unbelievable wedding that I've ever been to, so the pressure was on. The space was soooooo beautiful (Emily had given some very important and appreciated guidance here), and there were plenty of waitpersons anxious to take our drink orders. Drinks were worth every penny, pours were a very nice size, and cocktails had enough alcohol to taste like cocktails! Then the food. Oh my, the food... We had chosen to have everything served "family style". I've been to a number of events that have used this method and very often you find yourself worrying about how much you should take out of concern for your fellow diners. This was absolutely NOT a concern. Pile it on, they absolutely do not scrimp on portions! The food is scrumptious. Comfy and casual done at such an elevated level, which I think makes it PERFECT! Do not leave the restaurant without trying the mac & peas, or the crunchy cabbage! I actually bought a cooler and dragged both all the way back to Texas (I had driven) necessitating additional stops for ice, etc, and it was soooooo worth it! Suffice to say that I love this place, and think you will too!
