Unethical business practice
18 restaurant performed unethical business practice. On Friday 6/18/2021 at 11:56 am, I ordered a Shabbat meal for four to be delivered, for a total cost of $175.14. The order was placed through Grubhub. The food was never delivered although I was charged for it. Next day, I called Grubhub and got credit on my credit card. I called 18 restaurant and the manager said that the order was cancelled 3 minutes after placing it, then he changed his mind and said that the food was dropped off at my doorsteps. When I told him that the building has a doorman, the man got vulgar and told me to go and F myself and hang up on me. My daughter with her 5 weeks old infant arrived home from the hospital and I disappointed her. There was no food for Shabbat.

Well had a group dinner I had invited fiends and family -- six people overwhelmed the staff and I mean OVERWHELMED -- service sloow, got it wrong, poor waiter had to go mix drinks -- you can imagine how the drinks tasted without w professional bartender AND the ZINGER a 20% tip automatically added to bill with no notice anywhere. Well I find that underhanded and refused. Sad really because the food isn't bad but I don't go to a restaurant to get pulled through misery to get fed. Avoid.

Was invited out by friends for an early dinner, on a Tuesday. Place was empty at 17:00 and service was immediate. The Hummus Platter with Falafel Balls was nothing to write home about - hummus was OK, but the falafel were too well-done and kind of hard.
The Eighteen Burger was great, but the side dish of french fries was awful - skinny industrial chips left too long in the cooker...
Went there on a super busy night and experience was still excellent
We went during Passover so the restaurant was crazy busy. While the line for waiting wasn't great nor managed very well, the overall experience once we sat was really good. Despite being so busy, the service remained really good with everyone still upbeat and friendly, and the food was really good as well. Would def go back and like to experience it on a more normal night as it's probably even better.
Be the first to ReplyGreat Kosher restaurant - good food, service and value
Great kosher food on the east side - friendly service and reasonable prices.
The burger was excellent.
Great food and service. A wonderful NYC kosher restaurant.
Had lunch here this week and it was super!
The service was excellent and the food was perfect.
We had the Yemenite Soup, which was perfectly seasoned, and the Falafel and Chummus Platter, along with Avocado Sushi.
The Pita was delicious - very fresh and warm.
The menu is extensive with many items for everyone.
The restaurant was very pleasant and we look forward to coming back very soon!
Good food, but skip it on Passover
The Upper East Side seems not to be blessed with many - and certainly not many acceptable - kosher eateries. This is definitely one of them. Most of the year, but not during Passover week. It is shameful how they take advantage of religious people who cannot otherwise eat out by charging outrageous, way out prices.

Sidney & Tammy Cohen have brought Moroccan and Israeli delights to us all in Manhattan. On a sunny Sunday evening we sauntered in and tried all the specials; Roasted cauliflower with a techina sauce - beats Fiorella's; chopped liver with figs and pickled vegetables - have to try it to understand what chopped liver should taste like - Black Cod Tacos - ambrosia.
We ate it with toasted bread and topped it off with a plate of mixed Kabobs: chicken, beef and Romanian. Very Heimish. There was so much food, we packed the balance and ate it again on Monday night. It tasted even better the next night - no bill.
Our server Rachel couldn't be more helpful. She made us taste each wine until we liked one. still, I write this totally SOBER because I'm writing it the next Tuesday andd I just drank coffee.
Decent kosher place, service problematic.
A varied menu, but mostly a hamburger place. The hamburgers are very good (we especially recommend the pastrami burger). Atmosphere is nice. What led to a lower rating was the service. Our waitress was very nice, but the lady who seated us, not so much. I had called earlier in the day to ask if we should make a reservation and was told that for 2 people we didn't need one even though there was a party scheduled. We arrived at our scheduled time and were told it was crowded and we had to be out in half an hour. (It took us that long to settle in and get our food. When I protested that I had called before and was told we'd be fine, there was little sympathy. We decided to stay and we were able to leave within an hour without getting kicked out, but the whole thing was rather unpleasant.

Enjoyed a dinner with a selection of different burgers and grilled items. Food is good, not outstanding, found the service was great. Very attentive wait staff.
