One of the best pizza places in New York - and that's saying a lot! While the physical restaurant is small, they make up for it with the fast service and high quality of dishes. We ordered 2 pizzas, French fries and a salad for 4 people and ended up with leftovers too! You must try the deep dish pizza - even if you're normally a thin crust fan. The gooey cheese pull is not only extremely instagramable but also very satisfying.

During my Trip to New York, I wanted to try some pizza and the most recommended place was Emmett's so I said, sure why not try it! I called to see the waiting list and they asked me what time I was going to get there and I said in 30 minutes. They took me by surprise when they told me they were gonna reserve me a spot when I got there. I recommend people to reserve a spot before they get there too because once we got there, the place was packed! And when I ordered a deep dish pizza and ate some, I finally understood why everyone likes coming here! The pizza is literally a commercial cheese pull pizza!!! It was amazing! The sauce was nice and flavorful, the cheese was hot and it melted in your mouth. The crust wasn't too thick or too thin it was buttery and crispy. The waiters really check up on you even when the place is packed with people!

This could be the first post pandemic review? If so then just want to let you know this place is EPIC. Came from England hearing good things, we had 2x deep dish, one cheese louise and one meat based pizza, both delicious. Fries good too. It was my partners bday trip so we got a free drink. Tight seating & a wraparound bar define the place. The tavern style thin crust pizza was excellent, and while I didn't have any crazy expectations for the burger, was pleasantly surprised as it was phenomenal too!

Draft beer was enjoyable. As Midwest natives and deep dish lovers, we came for the deep dish pizza. Unfortunately, it pales in comparison to the hot Chicago spots. I'm happy I was able to get the experience out here in NYC, but there are better pizza spots in the area. The crust doesn't offer the traditional rich, buttery flavor one would expect from a deep dish.

I don't love deep-dish pizza, and my husband was craving a Chicago-style hot dog, so we ordered the hot dog and compromised with a thin-crust pie. The hot dog was a pretty good, classic Chicago dog. The 'Mr Red' thin-crust pizza, however, was over priced ($26) and essentially consisted of a tough cracker crust with thinly-spread marinara over the top, a slight dusting of Parmesan, and large pieces of raw basil. I'm aware the place specializes in deep-dish, but I didn't realize how punishingly bad the thin-crust option was. The other food was mediocre too. Our drinks were room-temperature and the arugula salad was fresh, but bland. I think the dressing was just olive oil and lemon. Overall, I was disappointed and left hungry.

Waitlist is fake. Delivery range is a joke. NYC has some sort of aversion to deep dish, which is dumb and sad. To leave it to the jokers at Emmets is a crime. Someone please challenge this hobby of a hole in the wall.How dare they open another location without deep dish. Avoid at all costs unless a party of 2 with reservations and a desire to also wait for hours. Thumbs down.

Horrible service, terrible food.Had reservations outside. We sat outside for 10 minutes before the server came around. He was polite and took our order. I asked for 2 different draft beers. He said both were out. Then I asked for a can beer. That was out too, what? I finally found one in stock. I finished it after about 10 minutes. I needed another beer. I had to walk inside to request more to drink after waiting patiently. The inside was full and it was obvious the servers were paying more attention to that. I understand everyone is understaffed, and our server was nice. So I give it a pass.The "deep dish Chicago style" pizza is nothing like the deep dish I've actually had in Chicago. It wasn't "deep dish." It was maybe half the thickness of what I've had in Chicago. The crust was very doughy, chewy. The cheese itself was very chewy.My husband said, "I believe this is the worst pizza I've ever had."What an extreme disappointment.With so many pizza places to choose from in nyc, don't go here.

I'm a NYC pizza lover and always open to try any pizza but was disappointed with Emmett. Staff was great and it's a cute place but quality wise wasn't for me. Ordered the deep dish which was very heavy and cheesy. Taste wise though I feel like pizzeria uno's is better! Something about it was lacking to me. Also tried the thin crust and got carmelized onions and fresh garlic for topping. Also was disappointing, lacked cheese and the sauce was ok. Garlic was too overpowering. I've had better thin crust elsewhere in general. Mozzarella sticks were good though. This place just wasn't for me taste wise (balance of cheese and tomato). We had leftovers but couldn't see myself really having anymore and threw out. Deep dish is definitely very heavy.

In a world of NY style thin crust, this place is a breath of fresh air for a thick crust pizza lover like me. The restaurant is small so I would recommend having a reservation or snagging a seat at the bar. The deep dish takes awhile to bake (30-40mins) so make sure to plan accordingly. My boyfriend and I got the garlic bread and the smallest deep dish pizza which was more than enough food for the both of us. We were able to customize the pie half and half and it came out piping hot and fresh. The pizza was thick, juicy, filled with toppings, and of course came with a glamorous cheese pull which our waiter expertly served so I could film. Overall great spot and I highly recommend!

I follow their instagram page and knew I had to get their beef and pizza. A bunch of friends and I came and enjoyed the wares. We wanted a beef sandwich, a tavern style pizza, and a deep dish. The beef came out first and the sandwich was juicy and savory. 5 stars for that hot giardinera mix. It really hit the spot. The one negative was the squishy roll encasinf the beef. It was desperately missing the satisfying crunch from a crusty roll.Next came the pepperoni and jalapeno pizza which was the perfect dish. It was crispy and spicy while also tangy from the ranch.At the waiters recommendation, we ordered a large deep dish which was wayyy too much food given the above. I really enjoyed the crust which tasted homemade and was loaded with sauce and cheese. There was a bit of a soggy bottom in the middle of the pizza which I'm not sure can be helped. I really enjoyed the food and the vibes here and will be excited to come here next time I have Chicago food cravings

I can't think of any other deep dish pizza spots in New York and I'd be shocked if there were any that do it close to as well as Emmet's. We started with mozzarella sticks and fries. The fries were controversial. I liked them: crispy, thin, browned with some potato skin. Others thought they were "not that good" but did not provide supporting evidence for their argument. The mozzarella sticks were universally acclaimed. Like Tom Hanks or Betty White. They had a nice seasoning on them. They "aren't like other mozzarella sticks".For our pizza we ordered the Hot Papi, which is on their thin crust menu, but got it as a deep dish. It was incredible. This merging of thin crust and deep dish concepts was an inside tip from Mike, who was our server and was outstanding. At one point there was talk of setting up Mike with a member of our table but unfortunately our friend likes "New York guys" and Mike is "too California". As a group of four, we weren't able to finish this amount of food.Note: unclear if Mike is single or not and at no point did he behave inappropriately.

Super cheesy.Very filling. Perfect for two and will more than likely have leftovers to take home. The owner was a Chicago native who moved to New York City and brought Chicago deep dish pizza with him. There is no other place in NYC that offers this promise of authenticity.

100000/10 This place is awesome! It is thee definition of a hole in the wall, but luckily we grabbed a spot at the bar. They do take reservations though, which I recommend just in case you don't get as lucky as us. The draft beer choices were great; all local and craft. They also had a wide variety of craft cans.The pizza was to die for. We kept it simple and ordered a 10" cheese deep dish. It was cooked to absolute perfection and was the perfect amount for 2 hungry people. The restaurant is very tiny, which results in a calm and quiet atmosphere. Yet staff and customers are lively and loving life. I can't wait to head back.

So cute. Inviting. Warm. The people who work there are Amazing and so nice. Being accommodating. I wish we had tried the Chicago style however we went for their version of NY STYLE. OMG amazing! Thin. Crispy. No outside crust like regular pies. Tasty beyond belief. They put a time down so the pie sits then they cut it into squares. Fantastic. Truly a wonderful experience. Not cheap but then again what is right now? Totally worth the trip. Can't wait to go again.

Wow! First time using this website/app. It was almost hard to believe the quality of customer service I received as soon as I posted my offer. My first experience using AT was awesome and the AT support saved the day! When my booking transfer initiated two days earlier but didn't complete by the day of the reservation, AT was able to expedite the transfer and confirm a table at Call Me Gaby in Miami Beach. I highly recommend this service. Reservations sell out in minutes as they become available at this restaurant. I was able to get a table at the exact time we wanted, on a peak weekend night. Amazing!

Whose name will my reservation be under when I arrive at the venue?

Best Answer It can be under your name or a name you choose! Some reservation offers already include the AppointmentTrader Transfer Service which will transfer the reservation in to your name. If its not included you can add it on after buying the reservation for a small fee. One thing on that though: As many reservations become available at last minute, taking a reservation in someone else name is quick and great for privacy. Most reservations on AT are listed with a virtual phone number, so all you need to do is present the phone number at the hostess stand and you are good to go!

Best Answer Your bid has been “matched” with a reservation. From the time a reservation has been located, the seller of the reservation must connect with moderator to give transfer information for reservation. If the seller;however, does NOT respond to reservation transfer, then your bid is reprocessed and returns to the first step, which is connecting your request to a reservation.

Best Answer Hey @EvocativeFold67, welcome to appointmenttrader! Once the reservation is in your portfolio, you definitely own the timeslot, the review team would not have approved the trade if the reservation wasn't confirmed - so you are going :-) Judging from your post you bid today and are going tomorrow - don't worry as long as you initiated the name transfer, you are good - the transfer service has to work with the opening hours of the reservation team of the respective venue. You will likely see the transfer confirmation a couple hours before your reservation time.

Best Answer Mostly from people who don't need their reservations or appointments any longer. AT has no relationship with places listed and acts as a platform connecting buyers and sellers making sure that listed reservations are real and that privacy is not compromised when transacting.

What happens if my bid expires unanswered?

Best Answer Hey @FluffyStar64, thanks for the question! When you place your bid the amount gets transferred in a deposit account, the second you either cancel your bid or a few minutes after the bid expires the funds are moved back into your main account from where you can refund it to your payment method or use for other transactions.
