Exquisite
September 2022 we booked dinner at Eneko in Lisbon. From the start we were impressed with the atmosphere and greeting. Stylish and elegant, impeccable service and deferential manners of the staff. The food was out of this world, Hats off to the chef and sous-chef and every one who works in the kitchen. It was nothing like we had tasted before. Every dish was unique. I recommend it if you are ever in Lisbon. More expensive than your regular restaurant but well worth its Michelin star. I would give it two stars if I could.

Eneko is a good restaurant, the food was OKish, however you expect much more entering a place with a Michelin star. Mushroom soup was amazing, on the other meat served in a grande finale was something you don't really want to remember long...

Amazing food, wine, and ambiance. Really value for money! Exceeded my high expectations! Thank you, for a wonderful experience, our group of 6 all enjoyed every second
Be the first to ReplyOne of the best meals we have eaten!
I went here with my wife on a recent trip to Lisbon. It had the refined foods a Michelin restaurant yet all the staff were extremely down to earth and helpful. We had the traditional tasting menu w/ wine pairings which was awesome. Will remember this meal for a while.
Be the first to ReplyVery disappointing food
Started out really well with the picnic experience ! Very original start in a private room with little appetizers. Unfortunately it all went downhill as of there. Out of the seven course menu (Adarrak) there were at least two we could not finish and maybe only one or two were actually good or very good. Every dish was very heavy (often too much for our taste) and there was no dish to counterbalance or freshen up the pallet. It was very disappointing even more so as the staff were super friendly and professional and the place very nice. Not worth the โฌ500 we paid for two (including wine)!
Be the first to ReplyExquisite dining experience ended in misery
My daughter Lynne and I ventured out on our own to a much anticipated dining experience at Eneko on our recent family trip to Lisboa on March 10. We were warmly welcomed to a somewhat mysterious forest scene with a picnic basket with delicious treats. We were then led to our table in another room with a relaxed yet refined atmosphere and proceeded with our journey. We chose the Erroak (root) menu and were not disappointed by the 9-course dinner, each course was a test of our senses in trying to identify the ingredients of the refreshing combinations of tastes, textures and colors. We were unable to name a single favorite in the menu at the end of this 3-hour dining experience because there were just too many to name. HOWEVER, four hours after this indulging experience came the horrible consequence of FOOD POISONING. We both went through a torturous night of diarrhea and vomiting. We lost two days of our precious weeklong visit to Lisbon because we were both incapacitated. What a sad ending !
Be the first to ReplyBeautiful restaurant with creative food
An old industrial structure transformed with velvets and good taste. Dinner is an event, don't be in a rush. The setting is beautiful with an open kitchen to add to the excitement. The food was creative, delicious and extremely nicely presented. The service impeccable. A well deserved one star for this excellent basque food chef.

Every dish was fantastic. No fillers and no cheap tricks or theatrics. Everything had substance and amazing flavour combinations. Really one of the very best in Lisbon right now. Thank you!

Eneko is a solid 1-star michelin restaurant but, in my book, behind other options in Lisbon (Belcanto, Alma, 50 seconds, Feitoria).
Letโs start with the place. I loved the open cuisine concept, you could clearly study the dynamics of the entire team, with nothing hiding from customers. Classy! Still, the room, while nice, was way too dark.
Regarding the choreography. We booked the table for 9pm. We first had to wait 10 minutes or more just for someone to attend to us. Then we were brought into the first room of the experience, again interesting concept but we had a couple a few minutes ahead of us in the experience and had to wait about 15 minutes for them to be taken care of before ourselves could be told the exact same experience.. and then we were given each a drink and had to wait another 10 minutes to be brought into the main room! As you can understand it was close to 10pm by the time we had seated and selected our menus for the evening..
Then we picked the menu and decided not to do the wine pairing. That must be an exception for them as a few minutes later they started pouring some wine on us without us having asked anything.. i reminded them that we had not asked for the wine pairing and they apologized and said they thought we had..
The menu was good. I must say the presentation of the dishes was stellar and the chef takes risks (which I appreciate) but I felt most of the dishes were only ok in terms of flavour, only 1-2 dishes really memorable..
At the end the chef went to meet us, again nice touch.
Overall, good experience and dont think people will regret it but there are better options around in Lisbon (and Portugal) if youโre looking for a michelin experience (my 2nd least favourite in Portugal after โElevenโ). The waiting time and most of the dishes were just not at the level I expect.
