Really nice spot and atmosphere overlooking the Bay Bridge
Really nice spot and atmosphere overlooking the Bay Bridge in San Francisco's harbor. Service is impeccable and attentive and the food is quite delicious. I will say that some of the steaks are priced wayyyy out of most people's range. But they have enough other options to choose from that's affordable. Can't beat the views and fun atmosphere here, especially for a steakhouse. Not stuffy at all. Would recommend.
Be the first to ReplyAmazing food! Amazing service! Enjoyable time.
Got free desserts for birthday, it was too good we forgot the pictures for dessert. But overall, everything was expected. Plus the bay bridge view was amazing :)
Be the first to ReplyI had a really great experience at this steak house.
I brought my boyfriend for his birthday and it didn't disappoint. I love the location of this restaurant, you get a really amazing view of the bay bridge. It is very pricey, but worth it. Service is great! Waiters are prompt, attentive and friendly. Food is good, they offer a variety of steak cuts as well as burgers, salads, etc.

I would personally not recommend this location to anyone, but I would probably come again just to enjoy the view itself. A lot of these locations, you pay for the view not the food. The service was ok, I guess not much to complain about. Our server was nice and attentive. I would say that the shrimp appetizer was expensive for 5 pieces but wow were they amazing. My husband got the steak which had no flavor, I got the salmon which had no flavor and my son got the burger which was dry. He was very unhappy and had the need to prove to me that you can in fact mess up a burger. We also got 2 lemon drops, and let me tell you, lemon drops is not their fortae (do not get). So overall we paid $300 for a less than mediocre meal. Do not come unless you just want to enjoy the view (and that's if you get the seat by the window which they are extremely limited in).

Service was great, cocktails were yummy, the steak was tender juicy and just melted with each bite. Wine was a great call for dinner. Their Guava Mousse Cake -- TO. DIE. FOR. Sooooo yummy and fluffy and light and packs a powerful punch of nectar like goodness in each bite. I didn't want to share!!! The view from Epic is amazing of the nameless bridge see photos!
Be the first to ReplyThe wagyu steak was scrumptious, juicy and tender.
The seafood combo looks wonderful, oysters were fresh and lobster meat was tasty. Servers nicely greeted in various languages and also asked to take pics for us. It is located next to the Bay Bridge so it was pretty crowded.
Be the first to ReplyThe view was stunning.
Nothing like watching the full moon rise. Food was incredible. I'd pass on the extra sauces and butters for steak. The steak is so good you don't want any other flavors. The service was excellent. Nightly recommend!
Be the first to ReplyLove the filet and mushrooms and calamari.
The red wine options could be better, overall my go to for a decent steak.
Be the first to ReplyLike to come here with my family and friends.
They have great food and great cocktail. And service is always good. Ambiance is nice. Always enjoy every time i come here

I came here last night for my girl friend's birthday on a rainy day, but the view of the Bay Bridge outside our window made up for it. We got lucky and found parking across the street where the Gap store was. Service was decent but some of the dishes did not stood out to me. Steak tartare was good, seafood tower was ok...oysters were super tiny. Ordered the tomahawk steak and it was bland. It could definitely use some sauce on the side. I liked the mashed potatoes and the Dungeness crab cakes.

Filet was on the rare side of medium rare, was very unseasoned and tasteless and was even getting cold at the time of service. Chocolate bread pudding was stale and tasted like someone just poured hershey syrup over it. We received our salad course after the people next to us, who had arrived 10 minutes after we ordered, had finished their entree. On top of that, we were seated in the worst seats in the house. Expected much, much, much better. Two stars is generous for what we got.

. And Epic didn't disappoint. Came here in a Saturday night to celebrate my friend birthday..it's perfect place for a date or outing the location is great for taking pictures u have lots of options. I highly suggest coming early to take pictures outside by the pier the bridge is right above the restaurant..we parked across the street and head over.. I'm not sure they have a parking garage.. the host greets us as soon as we walked in the door and our table was ready in mins(we did make a reservation 3 weeks prior and the restaurant wasn't super busy since it was around 7pm on a rainy day) we used the restroom which was very nice and clean . The host walks us up a short set of stairs to our seats.. upside have a seats that offer a great view of the pier and bridge if your looking a view with your meal tho elevate your dining experience..a bar area.. once seated we ordered cocktails and moxtails the calamari and the garlic shrimp for and appetizer.. hear me out the moxtail margaritas(which was very good I might add) my drink was perfectly mixed.great flavor and balance..so u must order the garlic shrimp u have to experience it. The perfect amount of garlic the flavors were there .. the calamari was light and over over greasy for a fried dish which I enjoyed.. i ordered the porter house medium well my friend ordered the filet mignon both were good but they proter house was soo amazing . Our server recommend that cut . It was well seasoned and cooked to protection. I usually go for my steak cooked a tad more well on the medium well but this was perfect the steak was juicy and melting in my mouth. With the side of chimichurri sauce . My first time having a blended version of it different but tasty. So hear me out order the garlic shrimp with your meal. Dipping the steak in the garlic butter was amazing.. my friend ordered a garlic shrimp as her main course.. the side are big enough to share the 3 of us shared the bacon Brussels sprouts and fries.. I would come back here again no questions asked. Our servers name was Ina I believe. Everyone who came to our table was nice engaging had energy. The hostess let me leave my food at her stand while I used the bathroom before leaving..

This is one of our favorite waterside steak places in the city. We have been to epic 2 times now, and will most certainly keep going back. To begin with, the ambiance and view of the BB and waters is amazing, especially at night when the bridge shimmers in the dark. If you wanna be seated outdoor on the patio, make sure you request that while making reservations. Their ribeye is definitely one of my favorite in the city. My husband had the swordfish, it was very well cooked, not too dry,but just right. The garlic shrimps and truffle fries are a must try. The roasted mushrooms make an amazing, yet subtle side order. We also enjoyed the biscuit and gravy on their brunch menu. The rosemary biscuits are one of the best I've had. Their trouble in paradise cocktail is my most favorite of all! Both the times, our servers were very helpful in making recommendations and also polite. They took special consideration to our request to be seated at a particular table on the patio (so we get the best view of the bridge and water). I recommend this place if you are looking for good ambiance, good steak, and relaxing drinks along with a spectacular view.

So usually I don't even post on here or comment on experiences but last night at Epic Steak was very frustrating and rough . The front staff was amazing they accommodated my note and even added a note for me that it was my friends birthday . However the wait staff our server ,Daniel I believe his name was, turned a memorable night into one where the experience over shadowed a great night . First , he never introduced himself , he came and simply put the water down then asked about drinks or appetizers, we weren't ready so he said he'd come back , NO EXAGGERATION , it took him about 35 , almost 40 minutes to come back , he only wanted to take drink orders so we gave him that and asked to split the check two ways , our drinks were quick , not even 15 minutes . Then he leaves and takes another 35 - 40 minutes to come back and take our orders for dinner , he apologized for the wait but wasn't warm nor did he make eye contact at all . He takes our order and the food takes another hour or so , which granted can be because of the kitchen , the food finally comes and he doesn't say anything , just places the food down , he comes back about 20 minutes in to check on us which we're all almost done eating and then another 40 minutes go by he asks about dessert while walking by never stopping . I stopped by the station to ask for them to do a happy birthday plate for my friend he never looked at me and didn't even respond and that took another 30 - 40 minutes . It finally came out and we asked for the checks , the checks were wrong but we just paid them and when it was time to leave tips we simply left the change from the cash we paid with and my friends left $5 . At which he was upset and turned to say " Was there something wrong with the service ? " and I say " it was okay " and he goes " thanks for the $5 " loud and as he's walking away . I did speak to the front , not sure if he was the manager or not and the server comes over to stand and listen to what I was saying which he got the tail end and says " you should tip better , we have to live off of these tips " and I politely tell him " I am talking to him , not you and have a great night " . Now the thing is , is I'm a GREAT tipper usually 20% or something if I can if it's worth it ! Now 1. If you don't want to get shitty tips , don't be a shitty server . I get you have other tables but it's your job to make each table a priority .2. The fact we sat at a restaurant for over 2 hours and most times not doing anything was terrible to me . 3. The fact that you feel so entitled to my money when you didn't even effectively do your job , so entitled that you tried to embarrass us by yelling our tip amount is terrible 4. You then pursued us to even further complain about something that were not entitled to do , NO . Wait staff is TERRIBLE and like I told the gentleman I spoke to my little $140 bill might not be a lot but at the same time I should be treated like the paying customer I am . Epic Steak, San Francisco California Epic Steak Do better .

I revisited Epic Steak for my birthday celebration, along with 24 friends. We used the banquet room upstairs, it was beautiful. The views were amazing of course, and the food was great. I loved the outdoor patio off the banquet room, and was pleased with the service. Great place to have a large dinner.

I was in SF for the week for work and got recommended this place by a coworker who lived in SF for "too long" haha. She said this was her favorite restaurant. It's down by the water and has great views so bonus points for that and was within walking distance of our hotel. Double points. Our waiter was really great and the host made sure we got a seat with a great view. On his recommendation we started with the garlic prawns and god damn if this wasn't the best thing I've eaten in months. Excellent recommendation. Cucumber martini and a dirty martini were our drinks or choice. Both were great. We decided to share a large rib eye steak, the Julia child potatoes, wedge salad and then the lemon bar to finish things off. Everything was delicious and service was great. This was a treat for a last night in town dinner. I'm going to bring my husband here when we come up to San Francisco for a weekend trip. The restaurant was full on a Thursday night so I def recommend a reservation.
Be the first to ReplyEpic Steak offers a wide assortment of seafood and steak.
I found the food to be in contention with any upscale steak house with the service to match. If it was the food alone I have judged it as being pleasant but not memorable. If you include the view with the food well then this goes on my list of restaurants to include in my itinerary when traveling with friends that have yet to enjoy the view of the bay bridge. With my understanding that the lights may not glow on the bay bridge at night moving forward, dining in the evening may no longer be the show that I enjoyed during my visit. A daytime view might be preferable and I would absolutely recommend grabbing a cocktail and seafood with friends.
Be the first to ReplySolid steak dinner spot for groups.
We had wine, sides, steak, a few entrees that were shared and dessert. Steak was good but a little under cooked in some spots and over cooked in others. Sides were the big hit, potatoes over the truffle Mac and cheese though. Salad was good but was a little difficult to chop up (served full leaf). Skip the desserts, those were the only disappointment. Ambiance is cool, ask for a water view. In the tourist zone so be prepared to pay a steep price.
Be the first to ReplyAlways EPIC at EPIC! Great service, great food & great
Always EPIC at EPIC! Great service, great food & great atmosphere. Then why 4 stars instead of 5?I've been coming here several times and the steak is always non consistent in terms of how it was cooked & prepared. Most recently the Rib Eye Steak (I ordered medium rare) wasn't that great. In the past the same rib eye steak (medium rare) was prepared very well, cut in slices with some oil and super delicious. This is actually I was hoping when I came back again but it was not prepared the same way.In a different time I ordered Tomahawk Steak and it was served a bit cold and chewy which is disappointing. The Lamb Shank was quite big, & delicious. Side dishes were very well prepared.Service was superb.

This place has been on my list for few years and we're glad we finally got around to come here . We had the best seat right by the window with beautiful view of the bridge and even though it was pretty foggy it was still beautiful especially with the dark cozy ambiance inside the restaurant. We had Jose and he was awesome gave us few recommendations to make the best out of our night . We definitely needs a bigger table since we ordered a lot . We loved the calamari was the perfect combo with the side salad that come with it . Our main course was perfect ( now I'm sorry the steak didnt completely blow me out the water but it was still good ) we did lobster and that was perfectly cooked.Mashed potatoes was very creamy and buttery and those mushrooms were amazing and I'm not even a mushroom fan . Overall we had a great night and will definitely return. Minus of 1 start : No parking or valet for come prepared to walk & Thank goodness we were done with our night and just waiting for dessert to go & check, the group that got sat behind us was completely obnoxious, loud and disruptive to the point where management should've stepped in since the hand help light still was absolutely was annoying and extremely bright and I would've walked out if this was in the beginning . we spent $600 to get Applebee's behavior.( multiple people were giving them side eye )

We celebrated a special occasion at EPIC and had a great time. The restaurant had a stunning view of the bay and a modern and elegant atmosphere, perfect for a special occasion or a romantic dinner. The venue is huge, and the menu offers the best cuts of meat and delicious cocktails.Their cocktails were expertly crafted and creative. I tried the Smoke and Mirrors and was blown away by the perfect balance of smoky and sweet flavors. It was the perfect drink to start off the meal. For food, I highly recommend the bone-in ribeye. The meat was cooked to perfection, with a crispy exterior and a juicy and tender interior. They also had a great selection of sides to pair with the meat, from truffle fries to creamy spinach. The service was great as well, with a friendly and attentive staff that made us feel welcomed and taken care of throughout the meal. They were happy to offer recommendations and answer any questions we had about the menu. Taking off a star because our soup app and cake for dessert weren't very good.Overall, I highly recommend Epic Steakhouse to anyone looking for a fine dining experience with a stunning view of the bay and delicious cuts of meat.

Great tomahawk ribeye! Pricey but worth it! I mean their steak must be good as well but we wanted to try what they have different food to offer so we got tomahawk ribeye (we were debating if the A5WAGYU or TOMAHAWK) and to tell you on all the orders we got (check pictures)we were full! Great location! Just parking is hard but that's SF, you know! We went here to celebrate my bf birthday but they didn't have any complimentary birthday cake or cookies or ice cream, they gave him a birthday card though. Love love there garlic shrimp! A must try! I wish we did order extra bread on that because the sauce ohhh my it's heaven! We also got julia's potato and mac and cheese which is good i don't really like mac n cheese but this one i approved!
Be the first to ReplySteakhouse right on the waterfront of the San Francisco Bay
Steakhouse right on the waterfront of the San Francisco Bay with amazing views during the day and night. The steak was amazing as well and the appetizers were super tasty. FoodI got the ribeye steak medium rare and it came perfectly cooked. The meat was juicy with just a good amount of fat along the edge. The truffle miso butter added so much more flavor as well and made the steak even better, would highly recommend. For appetizers, we got beef tartare and oysters. The oysters were super fresh and amazing. I would recommend it here. AtmosphereI got seated right next to the window and got a front row seat of the SF-Oakland bridge at night. The inside of the restaurant is also fancy and has some interesting decorations. The noise level was a little high and made it hard to hear some discussions for our business dinner. PricingPrices are on the higher side but still reasonable for a steakhouse. The quality of the food was worth it for me and I would come again for a nice dinner. Service The staff was very nice and had good service. The food came out quickly and while it was still hot. OtherThe locations right by the water so parking is tight but I did see a few spots.
Be the first to ReplyReally it's the views you're paying for.
The patio is beautiful and well-heated for pandemic times. The steak was alright but not amazing. The server was slow and not knowledgeable or nice. We were ladies dressed for the night out, catching up on a special night out. Ribeye for one is $61. I wish I could say better because times are tough and I'd love to support a local fine dining establishment better.
