Fun, casual with local vibe
Loved the overall Vibe here. Staff was great and fun. Cassoulet was outstanding. Drinks were great too. Lots of locals — a real place.
Be the first to ReplyExceptional and greatly impressed
The cuisine was exceptional and greatly impressed us, however, we did encounter a bit of disappointment with the service as some of the staff seemed to have a less than amicable demeanor. Other then that if you want to try new dishes, we recommend to try out their frog legs. Made with Provençal garlic butter, it was tender and delicate with a mild, and slightly sweet flavor. The garlic butter adds richness and depth, along with a subtle hint of garlic and herbs, enhancing the overall taste experience. Whenever we go to a french restaurant we love ordering the Escargot. It's savory and buttery. The flavor of the snail complements the strong garlic and fresh parsley that it is bathed in. They give you bread to soak up rich garlic and butter sauce. We also ordered the Yellowfin Tuna Tartare. It was a light and flavorful dish, and you get that natural flavor of the fish. Silky and tender goodness, with a subtle crunch from the sesame.

Loved the spaghetti squash shrimp entree! If you are looking for French cooking with gluten-free options, this is a great restaurant! The service was terrific and every dish we tried was delicious. We strongly recommend this restaurant!

Everything about this place was super special. The owner found us a seat, even though we didn’t have reservations, and really took care of us throughout the night! The drinks and food were AMAZING and we lingered and ordered more to keep soaking in the ambiance. The service was friendly and we loved everything about our experience here! These two Canadian girls loved it!! Highly recommend!

We were looking for something close to our hotel, and this sounded interesting. Delicious dinner! Staff very helpful with gluten free options. We shared the duck rillettes (with an apple to use instead of toast) and foie gras lollipop (amazing!), both gluten free, and my husband had the sliders, which he thought were great.

Came here for Valentine’s Day and had a wonderful celebration. Everything was top-notch, from the delicious rose champagne cocktail to all the incredible tapas dishes. The foie gras lollipops and escargots were the real stars. The ambience is very old-school yet hip at the same time. It’s a trendy spot, yet you also feel like you’ve stepped into another era when you walk inside. The only unfortunate thing is that we were sitting right next to the speakers and the music was blasting, but the excellent food made up for it.
Be the first to ReplyA perfect tapas getaway!
The food was outstanding, the staff friendly and made us feel like regulars. This is well worth a visit for great food and ambiance!

We needed to find dinner last minute and stumbled into this basement restaurant. Prices were extremely fair for NYC, good portions, GREAT service and food. Agreed this was the best meal of the trip. Also, fun restaurant name, right?
Be the first to ReplyGreat choice if you're staying at the Blue Moon Hotel
Such great food! And mere steps away from the hotel. The staff was nice and the service was quick. Get the sliders!
Be the first to ReplyTiny, hidden, romantic, gem
This is a destination spot for a romantic evening. It’s tiny with mostly bar seating with a French flair. The service is outstanding and the tapas are amazing. Not overly pricey and well worth a visit. Take a first date or a long term partner. It will be memorable

Having read the Trip Advisor reviews, I booked this immediately when I knew we would be visiting the Tenement museum across the street. The three of us loved the ambience of this petite but ever so charming restaurant. Johan, the chef-owner, belongs in the company of Jacques Pepin, in fact, he may already know him! French tapas - who knew it would be out of this world? We had tuna, escargots, baked musroom, and brussels sprouts and the rose wine was divine! The waiter, whose name I forget, but he was from Delaware, was so expert in his care of us, paying close attention, but not interjecting into our conversation except when we asked, which was often. He was perfect with his recommendations of some of his favorites. He scored 100 percent with each of us. Johan works in an ever so tiny kitchen space, and does everything himself, with no assistance. Incredible and we shall return next time we visit NY. You must go to this heavenly place.

Excuse my French is a lovely, wonderful, vibrant, charming place!!!
Service and people there are very sweet and attentive, they make you feel home.
The food is delicious and handmade in front of you by an authentic and talented French Chef, his crepes are succulent and the best I ever had (not even in France I had so good ones!) All of the tapas are original, delicious and made with fresh products.
Also their cocktails are fantastic, I just can recommend this place and encourage anyone to enter this small, cosy, adorable and memorable place, you won't regret it!
Cute, comfy and tasty.
Nice peeps inhabit this place so the vibe is one of NYC’s finest. The food is tremendous - try the scallops -one of the best i’ve had- and crab toasts. It’s right across the street from the Tenement Museum and makes for a hearty contrast of how far we’ve come in this world!

Oh yes! After avoiding the trap to going to a similarly named Pardon My Frnch we had the pelasure to enjoy here the eycellent, really excellent tartare, duck confit, brussel sprouts in a magic way, and salmon worth of royalty.
The tapas were exquisitely arranged, and the selection of custom cocktails was perfect to go with that.
Go in winter, because the air condition is not working really well, though!
I will go often!
