Decent Asian Restaurant
Tried Fantasy Cuisine with a friend for the first time this week. Live in the area and must have passed it hundreds of times. Started with Soup Dumplings, Pork Buns, and Hot and Sour Soup. These were all mediocre, the Soup Dumplings being the best of the three. The Pork Buns are not reminiscent at all of Port Buns from Chinatown that I am used to - they are more like Shumai style - plain white dumplings with a tiny bit of pork inside and no sauce. The Hot and Sour Soup just wasn't very good. Missing hot and missing sour. Dan Dan Noodles were quite good, although I have had better. "Dry Pot Style" with Chicken was next ... just so so. Peking Style Pork Chop was much better served in a sweet/sour style sauce. And finally Stir Fried Spinach with Garlic was excellent. All in all, it was just ok.

This place has the best soup dumplings in Westchester. Never too crowded, excellent service. Almost everything on the menu is fantastic.
Be the first to ReplyGood Chinese take out
We did take out from Fantasy Cuisine on Tuesday night. Although the restaurant was busy, our order was ready in 20 minutes as promised. We ordered veggie dumplings, tomato egg drop soup, Salt and Pepper Chicken, shrimp with walnuts, shrimp with crispy rice and shrimp Yaki udon. Every dish was unique and delicious.
Be the first to ReplyCertain dishes are great
In this pandemic, take out from Fantasy Cuisine has been one of our choices.
We have tried several dishes and are sticking to Yibin rice, Sesame chicken and the stir fried broccoli. The appetizers and dumplings arrived soggy, maybe because it is takeout.
We tried the crispy spring rolls, pan fried scallion pancakes and the steamed chicken and vegetable dumplings. Careful with the noodle dishes since they are very oily.
We will be trying other things and the soup in the future.
Employees were not wearing masks!
Food was great, but employees were not wearing facial masks. We don’t feel safe going back again.......
Be the first to ReplyExcellent local Chinese buns
Go for the buns and dim sum especially. Clean, bright, with good service. Excellent noodles as well. We've done the hot pot thing, but prefer the appetizers and noodles.
Be the first to Replygreat food customer service from mediocre to poor.
The "cuisine" is fantastic but if you expect great customer service then that's a fantasy. at the end of the night our last picture describes how we felt
Be the first to ReplyReliably good out-of-the-ordinary Chinese food
We have visited a few times - this time a large group of us. I love that we can get a round table. And the food is varied, interesting - different - and good quality served fast and with good humour. Not quiet dining, but good food in a convivial atmosphere
Be the first to ReplyGood rolls & dumplings, nice decor
Enjoyed dinner with family. Came without reservations but able to get nice table by the window. Decor is nice, and place feels spacious. Service was fine. Really liked the shrimp summer rolls, dumplings, and fish fillet with eggplant. We like glass noodles, so tried the sizzler style, but man was that spicy. A bit too hot for me. Will have to come back and try some other items on the menu. Very reasonable prices.
Be the first to ReplyNot Too Fantastic with Bland Taste
Modern decor and better atmosphere than some dim sum restaurants with attentive service. Nothing unique in brunch or dinner category and the taste is totally off in 2/3 of the dishes.
Worst in dim sum categories like tasteless soup dumplings, thick skinned shrimp rolls, bland wanton and shumai. Even the simple shrimp wanton noodle soup is bland!
Three stars for popcorn chicken, steamed chicken slice in garlic sauce, house special buns and House fried rice. Vaguely remembered from last dinner that all fish dishes tasted uniquely the same - braised, Sichuan or cabbage fillet.
Having second thought for the third trip. Taste matter the most!
Limited dimsum
I searched for dim sum restaurants and this came up so we decided to try it. I would say that dim sum is very limited. There were a variety of soup dumplings which were good. But I would say the main dishes (vegetables and noodles) were quite oily. So my rating is based on that.
I did see other guests having soup noodles and they did look good so that’s worth a try.
