Price: $$$ Service: Great.
No wait when we came and our food came out pretty quickly. Ambiance: LOVE the decoration here. The place was so cute for pics! Food: The food was good. My favorite was their crab fried rice although I thought everything here was too pricey in my opinion. This place is definitely a fancier thai restaurant. Great for date nights!

We were looking for a place to eat in the afternoon and the show it was open until 3 PM so we got there at 2:30 and they said that they were not going to take more people because they had a last call at 2:30. It was literally a few seconds after 230 when we showed up there, and if they intend to close at 2:30 then they should say so. I am never going back to this place again.

OVERPRICED! It's ridiculous the amount of money I paid today for rice with eggs and 4 shrimps. Soup didn't taste like anything and was just water with onions. I was very disappointed. Service was good, place is gorgeous but not worth it at all! This is a $9 meal elsewhere.
Be the first to ReplyNot sure how this restaurant is rated so high; my first
Not sure how this restaurant is rated so high; my first time here to celebrate my birthday. I must say after careful thinking, just to be honest, we wasted our time. Warm beer (not chilled as they should be) , mediocre tasting but fancy looking drinks, not available mango dessert at 7:45 pm, zero-smile service leaving dishes on edges of table, dumping the soup bowls and spoons on corner of the table, same small appetizer plates used as dinner plates, draft beer tasting as bottled beers were highlights of the evening. There was zero finesse overall and this place does not deserve 20% gratuity by default for the service offered. The best part was the birthday song they did with fun instruments - that was fun but by that time the overall experience was so bad that we were not able to enjoy the celebration; I was literally counting minutes for how to escape those uncomfortable seatings. I do not imagine myself taking another chance at this place.
Be the first to ReplyI've been coming to this location with my friends for years
I've been coming to this location with my friends for years and I'm absolutely in love! The atmosphere is colorful, vibrant, girly, and fun. The food is not only flavorful, but the presentation of each dish is bright and playful. I feel like Farmhouse Kitchen Thai really focuses on the details of the dish. Not to mention, their drink menu is super fun and creative! This is a great place to have a Girls Day Out or celebrate a special occasion with friends. After a refreshing hike at the Stanford Dish, my best friend and I treated ourselves to a well-deserved lunch. We got to the restaurant around 2 pm (an hour before closing for lunch service) and were able to get a table for two instantly. Our server, Jackson, was very friendly and attentive. Even though the restaurant was going to close soon, we never felt like we were being rushed. We started off with drinks-- I ordered the "All day I dream" alcohol free drink and my friend had a Thai Tea. Both drinks were so good! The "All day I dream" was tangy, creamy, and felt like I was on a tropical getaway. For appetizers we ordered the Neua Num Tok Rolls and the Papaya Salad. Both dishes were bursting with flavor and really packed a punch. For mains, we ordered the Chef's Special Crab Pad Thai and the Panang Neua. The Pad Thai was beautifully plated with a whole Dungeness crab and definitely got the attention of the other guests as it was coming to our table. The crab was coated in a delicious chili sambal sauce that gave great flavor to the rice noodles and fried tofu. The dish also came with two types of sauces-- one cilantro and mix seafood sauce. Both condiments were equally delicious and had strong flavor. The Panang Neua came with a large, slow braised Short Rib that was fork tender. The thick panang curry sauce was flavorful, aromatic, and left me scraping my plate for more. We finished our meal off with Khao Nieu Dam which is a black sticky rice pudding with taro paste and vanilla ice-cream. This desert came out warm and had a comforting sweet and salty coconut flavor. This has to be one of my favorite spots in Menlo Park and I will be coming back here with friends to try more fun drinks and flavorful dishes very soon!
Be the first to ReplyI went to Farmhouse Thai for a work dinner, and we ordered
I went to Farmhouse Thai for a work dinner, and we ordered a lot and ate family style. Sadly, most of the food was just okay and not memorable. Appetizers: - Samosa: good flavor, great sauce - Fish Cakes: flavorless discs - Farmhouse wings: flavorless chicken - Tom Yom - with shrimp, was weirdly sweet - Tom Kha - with chicken, tasty but could be spicier Entrees: - Hat Ye Fried Chicken: chicken breading was crisp, but chicken was overall flavorless. At least the curry sauce was good. - Pineapple fried rice - lacking flavor - Pad Thai - not a fan of pad Thai in general, but it was fine - Pad See You - flat noodle with beef, best dish of the night - flavorful and spicy I also got a Thai Iced Tea that was mostly a cool looking ball of ice, but not much drink. For a place that looks so nice and costs so much, you'd expect the food to be amazing. I've been to multiple locations and had the same experience, so I guess that's what they are and what I should expect.
Be the first to ReplyCame during Friday lunchtime.
Ordered oxtail curry, crab pad Thai, and whole branzino. Food is very consistently great. Ox tail curry a bit too salty but still good. Service was very prompt and friendly. The place is just always clean and vibrant because of the hanging flowers.
Be the first to ReplyIf you love spicy flavorful dishes, GET THE VOLCANO NOODLES.
They'll make sure you can handle the spice as you order. It definitely has a kick and you might have a few sniffles but it's not the spiciest thing I ever had, or even close to it. The curry's are always a good option. The red is of course spicier than the yellow. Get a cocktail or mocktail! The cups they come in are so cute. I got the All Day I Dream (mocktail with pandan and coconut) it was divine. Service was excellent. We were a large party of 14 so we made a reservation ahead of time. One star off only because the spices they must use can be pretty overwhelming breathing wise. Many of us were coughing and sneezing. It was mostly just a throat itch but I can see how that may be a problem for some. One of our party had to use their inhaler. I'd still gladly come again and again.

My party of 7 made a reservation last week online and it was super simple and quick. We arrived on time and were seated very quickly. The food was quick to arrive after delivering and was so fresh and delicious. Everyone at my table loved the atmosphere and everyone's meal was a hit. We ordered the beef soup, yellow curry, samosas, egg rolls, pad see ew, and the fried chicken. It's a little pricey but so worth it for the food and decor of the place. The servers are also very kind and quick to check in. Will definitely return.
Be the first to ReplyA solid 3.
5 When we first talked to the host to get a table for 4 indoors, he estimated the wait time to be about 30mins and said to call/text us when the table is ready. 30mins passed and nothing so when we asked him again, he said the wait time is now 1:45-2hrs... pretty sure he didn't put us on the waitlist earlier but didn't admit to his mistake. Ambiance: 10/10 Decor is super modern, colorful, and pathetically pleasing. Service: 5/10 Our waitress was really nice and checked in on us often but -5 points for the host. Food: 7/10 Delicious Thai food but there are TONS of other Thai restaurants that are tastier AND less expensive. 4 of us ordered 4 entrees and it was just enough. Crab fried rice - Very tasty! I love the fish sauce they drizzled in here because it amplified the overall taste. Serving size (both rice AND crab) should've been more generous for $36 though. Tofu pad see ew - Noodles were cooked perfectly but the overall taste was missing something that I couldn't put my finger on. Panang neua - My bf and his friend LOVED this. The short rib was HUGE and they described it to be so tender and incredibly tasty. My bf later said it was sitting in his stomach for too long though lollll ^^ Crispy branzino - This was the girls' favorite! Fish was crispy on the outside and super soft/tender on the inside! The sauce on the platter was sour and vinegary but that was what made the whole dish *chef's kiss* Definitely not worth $43 though. Would only recommend for ambiance, decor, and presentation. There are other cheaper Thai restaurants that serve just the same if not any better food.

They don't take same day reservations but you could walk in and put your name on a list. Was told a 40 minute wait but was able to be seated immediately outside (with heaters). It was a bit chilly but doable for a nice dinner. My husband and I split the calamari and samosas as appetizers. Both were amazing and would get again in a heart beat. Our dinner entrees were good but would try something different next time. The spicy eggplant wasn't spicy so definitely ask for hot sauce if you prefer/enjoy a good Thai spice. Overall, great dinner and would highly recommend
Be the first to ReplyI was disappointed with my experience.
While the ambiance was nice, the food was expensive and lacked the wow factor that I had hoped for. Other Thai restaurants in the area offer better food at half the price. The wait time was also unacceptable. My party of 5 waited for 20 minutes to be served our plates and another 20 minutes for our desserts. Besides, the restaurant added a mandatory 20% tip to our bill, which I don't think was deserved.

The veggie review! Firstly, they hardly have anything vegetarian in the menu. Most of the items have fish oil already mixed in. I couldn't have to the papaya salad or the Tom yum soup. That is really surprising for a Thai place in Bay Area. To add to that, while some of the entres can be made vegetarian, be prepared to pay $40+ for a vegetarian dish. As a vegetarian, would not be coming back. What I tried:The crispy egg rolls - that was really well made. Pad kee Mow - usual flavor, very oily Blue rice - nothing different other than the colorRed curry - felt like it had some fish oil in it, and overall the flavor was good, again very oilyDessert: Tried coconut cheesecake - normal cheesecake with a coconut flavor, fun twistDrinks:Tried the Aladdin make a wish - It was potent, not necessarily nice. Was served with lemon cookiesStaff: friendly Ambience: quirky
Be the first to ReplyGreat service.
Delicious food and nice drinks. When I'm in the area and want to splurge, this place is a winner. I ordered the egg plant dish with rice. OMG! It was extremely tasty with the right amount of kick. The flavor was amazing. I also ordered the drink that comes in a genie's lamp. It was fantastic. I felt fancy lol.Street parking is free, so it might be a bit difficult to find a parking space, but not impossible.

I recently dined at Farm House Kitchen Thai Restaurant with a group of eight people. Despite it being a busy weekend evening, we were accommodated within an hour, which was impressive. The drinks served were also great and I would highly recommend the Make a Wish, Fresh Curry, and Island Mai Thai cocktails - all three were delicious. For our appetizers, we ordered a variety of dishes including Thai fish cakes, Tom Yum soup, Hat Yai fried chicken, and crispy calamari, all of which were good. However, the papaya salad was extremely spicy and not to my liking, so I would recommend avoiding it if you're not a fan of heat. The main course dishes we tried, including the fried rice, red, green, and yellow curries, and Pad See You were all well-prepared and flavorful. We also tried the chef's recommended dessert, the "Ruk Na" platter, which was a bit expensive for the portion size but absolutely delicious. The live music provided an amazing ambience, especially for the birthday celebration we were part of.I would rate Farm House Kitchen Thai Restaurant a 4 out of 5 stars for its excellent food, ambiance, and attentive service. The only downside was the over-spicy papaya salad and the slightly pricey dessert. Nevertheless, I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a good Thai meal in a pleasant atmosphere.
Be the first to ReplyGreat ambiance, good music, interesting menu and tasty food.
Showing up at 8:15PM and being told we had 5 minutes to order our drinks and food because they're doing last call and close at 9PM was unacceptable. Because we were rushed, one diner chose to share and we didn't get any additional appetizers or dessert. IMO, when compared to other restaurants where a majority of the entrees are $37+ I'm going elsewhere.

It was way too sweet. I usually request not so much sugar but I thought Farmhouse has such great review, I'm sure they wouldn't add too much sugar.Stir fried eggplant was good.

Be the first to ReplyEaten in twice now.
Great location, good food. Location works with younger children. Now adding a review after three take out orders. For take out, each time, each 'seafood' order has four mussels and one clam shell, empty. Not once, not twice but all three times. Not hard to do the dig in a noodle dish to see if the shellfish meat is there or fell out. None. You pay $12 extra for the seafood. Don't just put some empty shells in here. Next time, if there is one, I will be Larry David counting my shellfish. You can count on it!
Be the first to ReplyFarmhouse Kitchen Thai Cuisine's Farmhouse Wings and Crispy
Farmhouse Kitchen Thai Cuisine's Farmhouse Wings and Crispy Branzino are outstanding dishes. The Farmhouse Wings were perfectly cooked and came with a delicious dipping sauce. The Crispy Branzino was perfected with a great seasoning and unique spicy green chili sauce. Highly recommend it for an authentic and delicious Thai dining experience. The restaurant has a great atmosphere and attentive service. Prices are reasonable given the high quality of the food. Don't miss out on this fantastic culinary experience!
Be the first to ReplyAbsolutely loved our experience here.
Great service that welcomed us and treated us the entire time. The food is also amazing, with plenty of vegetarian and vegan options. The curry was spicy and flavorful. The noodles were the perfect amount of sweet. Highly recommend the samosas, which are amazing (tip: make sure you cut it first so you don't burn your tongue in the excitement like us).The location is very nice, with hanging decoration of flowers and art and warm lighting. It's a great place for a special night out.

Great Food, service and atmosphere! Tried out the Kai Sam Ros and Samosas! It's right off the Menlo Park Caltrain station.
Be the first to ReplyThe food is great, but this is a $$$ restaurant, not a $$.
It is incredibly expensive. The food is great, but honestly is made much cheaper than they are charging. They are charging for the ambiance. It's pretty inside, but loud. Also, our babysitter was running late and we called to let them know, and they said they can only hold the table for 10 minutes, no more. We get there at 10 minutes past reservation time, I paid for parking while my partner went to check in, and they refused to seat her without me even though I was just paying for parking. Inside, do not even dare to ask the staff any questions about the menu or recommendations. They barely answer, we asked what cocktails could be made Virgin, they gave us one option. We asked what they recommend, he simply pointed at the menu. They rush you through your meal -- you only have 90 minutes at your table. They never checked in on us. This place only functions to get as many people in and out as possible to make the most money. Good if you want to drop $100 a person, but there are equally good, more affordable options that do not charge for being instagrammable. They absolutely did not care about US as customers, only that we were customers. They did not care to make our experience of quality. They will not split a check, you have to pay for parking, from start to end we felt incredibly rushed and the service was below subpar for the price. They seemed to just want money.
Be the first to ReplyGreat food, but very pricy and the service makes my group
Great food, but very pricy and the service makes my group feel uncomfortable. They take our dish and utensils away right after we finish it. It is definitely not two dollar sign, the average of main dishes is around 38 dollars. We order a starter, main dish and a non alcohol drink, and it takes 70 dollars per person. We didn't even order dessert.

After my visit, I read some of the reviews on Yelp! and the reviews were 100% accurate. In summary, this is a great place to go to make social media posts about the food and drink presentation, decor, and atmosphere. This explains why most of the people around us were taking photos of everything. It's a fun and festive environment with all the neon lights and servers wearing bright pink:Decor/Atmosphere: 5 StarsService: 4 StarsFood: 3 StarsThe food was in my opinion was okay, so I wouldn't come here for the food but for the sensory overload.
