Feels like a world of its own
Obviously, there are plenty of red sauce places or fancy schmaltzy old-world spots where somebody pays an old lady to look like their nona and make fresh pasta. And in New York City? In Brooklyn? You're good. Nobody needs to sell you on those places. But Fausto is different. It's like a little world of its own at the end of a main street right by the park where everything tastes fresh, everybody is nice—and I mean that. One of the sweetest staffs I've seen—the drinks are great, and the mood is just perfect. It almost feels off the beaten path or some gem that everybody hasn't discovered. A truly special restaurant with one of the best wine lists I've seen. Also, every pasta is perfect, and the focaccia—are you kidding me? Wonderful.

Great restaurant for brunch in Brooklyn. Good service and great food. Not just your typical brunch menu. Kid friendly and good wine list.

We were looking for an Italian restaurant and got into this one by chance. Nothing out of this world but good enough for a dinner with family.

Came here with our daughter and her GF, as she recommended it. We ate downstairs where it was quieter than on the main floor. All the apps and mains we had were excellent, as was the desert and vino. Expensive but good. Our server was a bit snooty but to be expected sometimes in NYC

Went here the other night with my family and the pasta was INCREDIBLE (I had a pork based one) clearly made fresh with lots of care. However the highlight had to be the lemon and ricotta cake !! I’ve never tasted a cake so amazing ! Would 10/10 recommend 💓

Our daughter made plans for us to visit her here as we wanted to try something new. We started with drinks at the bar and were happy to try the south for winter. Our seats were downstairs in the wine cellar which is quieter.
We started with the delicate squash and a little gem salad. The both were an excellent start to to the meal. We ordered the lumache and cappelletti as our pastas and the duck as a main. Everything was very good ! The sauces and pasta were as homemade as my Nana's. The duck was so tender and juicy.
The portions were large enough that the three of could have a family style meal. There was not a clear favorite as everything was equally well prepared. The service was good and we were happy to see families with small well behaved children. We will be back.
Quality while hopping!
We had a lovely meal at Fausto. Our wait staff was attentive and knowledgeable about wines, spirits and the menu. Good for vegetarians and meat eaters. Order many small dishes, share and enjoy!

We were visiting my daughter in Park Slope & she made us reservations for dinner. A lovely experience. Husband & I shared an appetizer, pasta & main course. All were well prepared & delicious. Wait staff was efficient & meal was spaced. Will come back.

This is my go-to restaurant in the neighborhood, either early with the kids or later with just my husband. Food is consistently good, wine is excellent, service is efficient. The menu is slow to change and sometime there can be an ingredient I don't like in a dish, i.e. too much lemon flavor in the mushroom pasta dish, yuck! That's why I'm taking a star off but really glad this restaurant is around.

My wife and I were doing a small civil ceremony with friends in Prospect Park and reached out to Fausto about booking brunch for a large group. Riene was amazingly accommodating. They have reasonably priced set brunch. They were flexible with additions. And most importantly as the day approached we were sure if the weather was going to be good for the outdoor park ceremony. I reached out to Riene and she offered to set us up in the private room for a small ceremony if we needed it. Even more so, said we could let her know the morning of. That was a huge weight off our shoulders. We untimely got lucky with the weather and opted to stay outside. But know we had the option and Riene and the great staff at Fausto was much appreciated. We came for brunch, set up in a semi-private area in the back. Next to the great open kitchen in a space with a lot light. We barely noticed it wasn’t a fully private area.
The food was awesome and set up family style. We started with a crostini and salad. Both very good and plenty for everyone. The second course was French toast, Pasta, and polenta with egg and duck. Everything was delicious and so much food. We also tried the lemon ricotta pancakes which were yummy, huge, and so beautifully presented. For dessert we had lemon ricotta cake. A nice light ending to a great meal. Lots of cocktails and drink options. The staff was so friendly and attentive. They even put congrats with our names at the top of our menu
Really the perfect way to celebrate our civil ceremony. Great for groups or just solo or couples. Can’t recommend it more.
