GUYS. SO. EFFING. GOOD. first: if you need ur fill on amazing pancakes and you don't want to go to sunday in brooklyn, these are also to die for. order them for the table. comes with a delicious honeycomb butter and maple syrup. ..... i didn't know i needed honeycomb butter until this day. if you like a breakfast plate, get the Big Breakkie. if you like a sandwich, get the Sage Scrambled Egg Panini. I got the panini and it was great. i also got a side of fries but next time would love to try the hash browns, etc. FYI: they do not take reservations for brunch, so go and put your name down, and walk around. sadly they don't even take your phone number: they just shout out your name when your table is ready. the good news is, even on a packed sunday, we only waited 15-20 minutes. plus, there's outdoor thrifting vendors in the same area, so you can peruse while you wait. so good cannot wait to go back.
Be the first to ReplySo freaking good.
The ricotta pancakes, the cocktails, and the endive salad was great. Love the interior style and flower bouquets inside. Such a bomb little joint!
Be the first to ReplyGreat place for burgers with a cute ambience.
Service is overall good but when they're busy inside you could be told in an arrogant way to step outside and wait for the host.

BEWARE! The service was absolutely atrocious and unacceptable. The business is unethical and unscrupulous. They illegally added on additional tip to my bill without any permission or authorization to do so. On top of that Zander (the manager) does not return numerous calls or emails. Five Leaves customer service is absolutely unacceptable, atrocious and untrustworthy. Beware and make sure to check your credit card statement so you don't get overcharged!

I love this place! The food is really good and never disappoints. I can be a bit of a wait, especially on the weekends, but I think it's worth it. It's nice to sit outside on the corner and people watch. The only thing I will say is the staff is nice but def I truly rush you to get out of there. I've had the same waitress a few times and she is constantly coming to the table to try and move you along. It feels rushed and unenjoyable. I feel like I need to keep ordering things just to be able to sit there and take my time. I understand because the restaurant is busy and they want to turn over tables, but it makes the dining experience feel rushed.
Be the first to ReplyI went for the ricotta pancakes & they don't disappoint.
The service is also really good staff is friendly & attentive. I've had eggs & their mushrooms which I loveeeee. It's been years and the place still remains popular for a reason. Always lovely.
Be the first to Reply4 stars here's why.
..Service was great, the location was easy to access, the ambiance is super cute, the food came out fast, and it was super easy to book a reservation. I got the the big breaky that comes with eggs toast and hash browns, the hashbrowns are super good. I added avocado and steak to it. The steak was under seasoned a little but it was cooked good. I also got the pancakes and they were amazing! Must get. All in all I'd def come back it was a nice spot.

The Ricotta pancakes are so delicious and moist and fluffy! Haven't really tried anything else on the menu but I'm just getting started! If brunch is your favorite definitely a great spot to try out. Keep in mind the place is small so not ideal for larger parties.

We've been eating here for almost 15 years and never had such a terrible experience as last night. Service was surlier than usual. Drinks took 20 minutes and were poorly made, and server didn't even acknowledge how long we waited. My companion's chair kept getting kicked or the back of his head knocked into - by guests and by servers. This element is a constant at five leaves but usually the food is so good you just overlook being tackled while you're eating. The kitchen was really off. Fried artichoke starter was actually burned. Burgers were unseasoned and undercooked. Fries were somehow overdone and soggy at the same time, and whoever was ruining the grill and our food smoked the place out so bad we had to rush to pay and escape because we were choking on smoke in the dining room. And the reason I'm posting this on yelp... I posted about it on my instagram (less than 80 people view my stories, I'm no influencer...) and instead of sending me a dm or just ignoring it, whoever runs social blocked me. Childish. My post wasn't even inflammatory.
Be the first to ReplyI used to love this place.
I came back to visit the first time since COVID-19 hit, and brought my daughter with me. When I asked the server what bread I could get, he told me only sourdough and 7 grain. Later on I found from another waiter that there was also a cranberry pecan option, so I asked if I could switch to the sweet toast and the lady kindly agreed. When my dish came, it looked yummy but the toast wasn't cranberry pecan so I politely asked whether I could still switch. They brought the dish back, and it came back with this burned toast that is cover in black.Though I understand that there were some back and forth and not ideal on a busy Sunday, I don't think this burned bread should have been serve to any customer... I have to say that I was completely surprised and disappointed... the waiter already looked impatient so I didn't ask to have the bread replaced. I gave my daughter everything else other than this toast, and she liked the food and wanted us to revisit. I just hope that they will not serve this bread like this again. I have to give 2 star for this visit, though I still hope next time it will be a better experience

Honestly not sure what the hype about this place is because the food is good but nothing special. I've been several times (mostly because my friends want to) but I just always felt that it's overpriced and cramped. Very bougie crowd but that's also the neighborhood so it's expected.

Food was great but I left only 4 stars because we were waiting 30 minutes for the food.It was 1pm (peak hour) on a Sunday, and we ordered a pancake and a Moroccan scramble. We come back meat time if they can reduce the waiting time for food.

Goooooodness the steamed mussels are a MUST-GET for all my seafood lovers. Trust me, you won't regret it. I had the veggie sandwich, was a little difficult to eat bc it was stacked so tall with tons of different things, BUT was tasty none the less. Highly Recommend!
Be the first to ReplyAmazing experience.
We arrived here around 1pm, and sat outside. It was very busy but we were seated within five minutes which was good. The food was excellent, as were the drinks. Their take on an espresso martini was delicious. Huge portions, very tasty food, and our server was really nice and efficient. Can't wait to return!

Love this place! The breakfast pie is absolutely fantastic. Have a tendency to overorder dishes every time I come here but hard to go wrong with anything on the menu!
Be the first to ReplyThis review is for weekend brunch.
I know this place has an insane amount of hype. Hype aside, I think this is a really solid brunch spot. I lucked out and came around 11:45am on a Saturday for three people and only waited about 20 minutes to be seated. Your entire party needs to be there to be seated fyi. Is it worth waiting for an hour for a table? I don't know, but it's right by Mccarren park and lots of shops so at least there are things to do while you wait. Ambiance and Service: cute, casual, neighborhood restaurant vibes. The actual restaurant is pretty tiny, but thankfully the outside seating opens up a lot more space. There's a cute covered seating area that is nice on a sunny day. Our server was nice, but service is definitely on the slow side. Food: I ordered the below -Black Kale Salad (with chicken): ok, I loved this. I'm a sucker for a caesar salad and this was honestly so good. I'm literally craving it as a write. -Ricotta Pancakes: the famous pancakes! This is a must to try. We ordered this for the table. They're incredibly dense, yet fluffy. I thought they were very good. -Five Leaves Burger: this was good, but not my favorite for no particular reason. I think there is just a lot going on with this burger. -Side of Hashbrowns: not what I was expecting. I was hoping for shredded hashbrowns, but they're little round balls. -BLAT: I did not try this, but the person who ordered it enjoyed.
Be the first to ReplyBest brunch spot in brooklyn ever.

YUM and open early! Pancakes were AWESOME, and the full breaky as sooooo satisfying. True home cooking with an elevated touch. Rich and balanced coffee's too! Staff was attentive! But the scream of the coffee machine was a bit annoying

I love five leaves especially for breakfast! They add a delicious rosemary seasoning to their egg sandwich and offer healthy salad alternatives. Always a must-eat spot whenever I'm near the neighborhood.
Be the first to ReplyThis is my favorite place to have brunch in Williamsburg.
Everything is delicious and the ambiance is really cool. Ricotta pancakes just wow

The ricotta pancakes are awesome! Super buttery and rich, and tasted amazing with the maple butter and syruptheir scrambled eggs was maybe the best eggs Ive ever had. They were simple buttery eggs, but soooooo good.espresso was horrible, extremely sour, I thought it was me being sensitive, but another customer talked to the waitress about it being sour. Service is great, the waitress are sweet and attentive.
Be the first to ReplyMy wife and I came here for brunch on Sunday.
It was packed and there was a robust crowd outside waiting to get inside. I had the Moroccan scramble while she had the ricotta pancakes. I thought the pancakes were way better. I had a glass of orange wine with the meal. Service was ultra quick. I asked my wife to put in an order while I went to the restroom and the food was served just as I came out. There is one gender neutral restroom which is quite spacious, but always has a line.

Returned on Valentine's Day 2022 for breakfast and as We Are Scientists once sang, there was "no wait at Five Leaves."Hot coffee was decent, and I loved the ricotta pancakes. My boyfriend also enjoyed the big brekky. Unfortunately, the service was super inattentive. It was also freezing inside because of the to-go window that they sell coffee out of. But the food is still great!

Cute cozy breakfast spot, perfect for groups of 4 or lessThe menu is reasonably priced considering the area an ambiance. Most dishes are around $15. I ordered the Big Brekkie, granola bowl, and a croissant .5/5 stars for the granola bowl!A generous assortment of black berries, blue berries, strawberries and raspberries were paired with scoop of Greek yogurt and slices of banana. All of this was on top of the greatest granola. The granola was slightly sweet and mostly toasty sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, shredded coconut, pecans and almond slivers! Not one oat in sight. 3/5 big brekkie with a side of beans and thick cut bacon. Beans were under cooked (you know when beans are slightly crunchy? Not creamy. That's what the beans for me were like. Thick cut bacon was difficult to eat. Tough to cut through, cheesy and almost dry. 2/5 croissant. I don't blame them, croissants are hard and this is a breakfast meal type of place, not a bakery. Overall would come back for that granola bowl!

Five Leaves is very quaint and cozy, and has a great atmosphere although it did feel cramped when I was seated, as I was seated close to other people. Despite that, I still enjoyed the food at this place. I got the ricotta pancakes, and the pancakes were so fluffy. It was really enjoyable and had a light taste to it. It came with a lot of fruits which complimented the pancakes really well. My friend also got the pancakes, and enjoyed them. It came with 3 pancakes, and it was so filling. I could not finish the pancakes because of the large portion but it was delicious! We also got the avocado toast, with seared salmon and it was good. The salmon was salty, but that was expected since it was seared. My friend enjoyed the avocado toast regardless. I also ordered the truffle fries, and they were so good! The best truffle fries I've tried so far in the city. The truffle flavor was good, and it was prominent in the fries. The fries were crispy and hot and we really enjoyed sharing it for the table. Overall, I would come again! The brunch place was also in a good area, where we were able to shop around after. Cozy atmosphere with good food, and would recommend it!
