Four Seasons Hotel One Dalton Street, Boston Reviews from The Last Year
Very pleasant
Efficient and very pleasant hotel. Bathroom amenities are a little sparse.... no bar soap, no ear buds, towels are not particularly generous nor fluffy..otherwise probably the nicest Boston hotel. Would return but need the bathroom to be more complete in supplies.

Stupendous -- afternoon tea was the highlight of our weekend. Extremely tasty mignardises and outstanding savory treats. The staff was mindful of a pescatarian diet and truly accommodating. The strawberry rhubarb pie tea with amaro was divine, and the baby lobster rolls and foie gras profiterole with pickled strawberries were perfect. Especially sweet and unexpected was the slice of birthday cake that the staff surprised us with! Sole regret is that we couldn't finish the slice together or take it with us -- it was honestly some of the best buttercream I've ever had. Truly touching attention to detail and so utterly kind. The Four Seasons never disappoints!
Amazing property!
This Four Seasons is absolutely amazing! Staff and quality of service from arrival to departure were outstanding. I used the concierge ahead of our arrival to plan activities, tour guide, transportation and dinners. Every detail was perfectly planned. We used in-room dining for breakfast and late night snacks. Our food arrived promptly and was delivered with a smile. Overall, the staff is exceptionally personable, efficient and attentive to every detail.
Top choice in Boston
The hotel is relatively new and is very well maintained. We have stayed in One Dalton since its very first month of operation. If you like modern interiors, service with a smile, clean gorgeous rooms and the most helpful doormen you are in the right place! Fitness and pool are great and spa which I have used in previous visits is fantastic. Rooms vary in views but I think the room categories are quite well described. I wish FS somehow will finally have a loyalty program to acknowledge repeat guests.
Let me tell you, the spa at Four Seasons is an absolute
Let me tell you, the spa at Four Seasons is an absolute gem! From the moment you step in, you're greeted with warmth and hospitality that sets the tone for the entire experience. The breathtaking views, the tranquil steam room, and the luxurious pool make you feel like you've stepped into a heavenly oasis. And let's not forget about the chocolate snack bar - it's like a Willy Wonka spa, indulging your senses with divine chocolate bonbons! But the real highlight? The massage. Oh my goodness, it was pure bliss! Shoutout to Michael, the incredible massage therapist, who not only worked wonders on my muscles but also started our session with the mantra 'All is Well,' setting the perfect tone for relaxation and reflection. As someone who's juggled years of building a business, navigating single motherhood, and being an immigrant, this experience was exactly what I needed. It taught me that it's okay when things aren't perfect - we learn, pivot, and evolve. I opted for the hot stone massage add-on, and let me tell you, it was phenomenal. Mike focused on my shoulders and lower back with just the right amount of pressure, addressing all my tension and knots. It was pure bliss from start to finish. Mike truly has a gift for his craft, and I left feeling rejuvenated, refreshed, and ready to take on the world.
Luxe hotel made great by its staff members
Wonderful new hotel, but what is really outstanding is the team, from the Front Desk to the Lounge and especially the housekeeping crew. The service level was excellent and the attention to every need was met,
Overrated!!!
The hotel is located in a very nice area. The stuff was friendly but it was bit weird….you could feel that their smile and politeness was not real. What ever you asked them they repeated “absolutely mum” like robots… without understanding my needs I booked two double rooms for me and my family., We had 14 overnights in total. As soon as we arrived after a 16 hours flight the lady in the entrance was trying to convince me to get an upgrade for an extra money… we were totally tired had jet lag and she was really trying hard to sell another room category . When she realised that I wasn going to to accept she just accompanied us in the elevator without explaining ANYTHING AT ALL. No informations at all!!! I was still talking to her when she press the elevators button and the door closer!!!!! The rudest welcome I have ever hade!!!!! Next day I complained to her supervisor after hat she never said good morning or hello or what ever!!! She was was ignoring us continually for 10 I will never stay there again
Dalton Disappoints
I’ve stayed at four seasons one Dalton many times. Most of the time I’ve stayed over the holidays and had wonderful experiences. This time the experience was subpar. My son is on the spectrum so I don’t mind paying extra for great service, routine and his needs to be met; however, when they are not I am throughly disappointed by the price tag. I purchased a room through Amex Travel, which offers many additional benefits. Those benefits were not properly applied. I did not get early check in. I was charged for breakfast. There was no experience credit. I did get a room upgrade, but it came at the cost of a full blown tantrum in the lobby. I had asked for an early check-in, which I did not receive and (understandably) was not guaranteed. I did not expect to wait close to two hours after the normal check in time to get a room though especially after writing to the hotel via their chat system to inform them of my son’s special needs and calling ahead of time. This resulted in a tantrum, lots of problems regulating himself and a miserable start to the trip for the first twenty four hours, which could have been avoided with proper planning. In addition, the pool was not heated, speakers were broken, dirty towels were strewn about and empty glasses, cans etc. littered an overcrowded pool. The staff tried their best under duress, but they were clearly oversold and understaffed. I felt terrible for those who were on staff while I was there. I expected more from a fine hotel and resort. It was not worth the money I paid for this trip. I’m hoping this was one bad experience, but I’m not likely to go back outside of the holidays.
What a wonderful stay we had.
Our room was spacious and clean with a wonderful view of the city. The porter who brought our luggage to the room was thoughtful in where he placed our luggage to give us extra space. Housekeeping was super attentive to detail and left me with extras that they saw fit my needs and likes, and even folded our clothes! The pool was great and the we took advantage of the steam room, which was so nice after our swim. Finally, the concierge was also very gracious in helping us with dinner reservations and accommodating our needs. Would love to come back.
Fantastic stay with Four seasons
Excellent service, personal attention, room was gorgeous and immaculate. The hotel itself is beautiful. Breakfast served in room was delicious. Trifecta is a great cocktail bar located in the hotel itself.
Beautiful
Hotel is immaculate and beautiful. Service and staff outstanding! Rooms are clean and decorated great. Bathroom spotless and nice. Bar and decor very nice. Only thing I was not happy with was the 70 dollar overnight parking
Can't talk more highly of this.
place....has everything you need (other than google.chromecast). Coffee, mini bar xfinity on demand was nice. Wifi is fast. Staff is top shelf...view is spectacular. A very well run business....Tip of the hat to the GM or the person under the GM that makes this place run (that's usually how it goes...just guessing). Cheers !
Exceptional Stay
This hotel is one of the best hotels I have stayed at. I am not a stranger to Four Seasons property but this location just does everything a step above the rest. They are incredibly friendly, accommodating and remember the small details.
Four season dalton place is top notch
The staff from top to bottom is always so friendly. Being an Amex centurion member this is one of my favorite four seasons. The iPad in the room makes it so easy to communicate. The only thing it’s a bit pricey but that’s what comes w a four seasons

I stayed at the Four Seasons at 1 Dalton in Boston the last 2 nights. For $1300 a night, I had high expectations of the room and service. I turned my "'make up room" service button on at 7:30am when I left the room. I came back at 3pm to a dirty room!!! For $1300 a night, I expect to be able to return to a clean room when I return from a long day. I had to call for housekeeping to come up at 3pm to clean my room and their lame excuse is that they start cleaning at 9am! Well 6 hours passed from the time you were supposed to have started!!! My rest time was disrupted as I had to wait for them to clean just the bathroom because I didn't have time or patience for them to make the beds as well. I paid $2400 in just room charge for 2 nights for a room that is small and mediocre at best. Only thing decent was the bathroom. Service was terrible and shattered my image of Four Seasons in general. So many better hotels around. I loved the Mandarine Oriental. For the same price, it's a much better room and service!!!

Impression: 1- Brand new FS, opened late 2019, I was one of the first to try it. 2- Very quiet and modern rooms. 3- Excellence in Service. 4- Location is great. 5- Third tallest building in Boston. Plan: Stay here twice a year. I liked it better than the original FS. Order the cheese board in the lounge. Upgrade room if you can, totally worth it. Sometimes they have stay 3 nights and the third is on them. 5 solid stars. One of the best hotels in Boston.
A modern epitome of Mr Isadore Sharpes golden rule.
A subtly exquisite property with magnificent rooms and kind, friendly, professional and welcoming staff. Hostelerie as it should be. Bravo! P
