Huge time to order! Every time they say that they will soon prepare food. Terrible food quality in this restaurant! The kitchen is not able to prepare food on time? This is not a restaurant, but a cheap eatery.
Be the first to ReplyThe food is delicious and the envrionment fun.
..our server was sweet but the kitchen is incredibly slow and the server never really updated us nor did she apologize for the delay. This is our second time and we will be back but please fix the kitchen delays! The restaurant might want to pivot to a Yelp listing for Greekman's versus Freedman's at this point.
Be the first to ReplyExcellent service.
Excellent food. Every dish is pretty amazing but the smoked cauliflower with spicy labne is a must. Also a big fan of the grilled octopus. I liked this place a lot when it was fancy jewish food...like it even more as great Greek.
Be the first to ReplyBad hipster service.
Our food never came together. They added an automatic tip for bad service. I'm not kidding the fries arrived after we got the check. It's overpriced for not a lot of food. Very disappointing it was better when it was a Jewish deli.

TLDR: Food is decent, but service can't keep up with the packed-like-sardines amount of tables/diners.I dined at Greekman's a few months ago with a friend and loved the food, atmosphere and drinks. The only hiccup we had was the souvlaki my friend ordered took a very strangely long time to come out, but other than that, the service was good.So I came here again last night for dinner, this time with my partner after I raved about my prior dining experience, and off the bat we noticed our server was a bit odd energy/apathetic, but we didn't think much about it. The service started out pretty good, the first few items we ordered were coming out pretty fast, but then things started coming to a slow halt. Our server didn't come to check on us for 25 minutes nor did the other 3 items we ordered arrive. Finally the next plate came that I ordered as a main dish, but my partner must have waited another solid 30 minutes after for his main dish to show up. When she finally brought his food out, I asked for more pita bread, which she acknowledged, but then 15 minutes later when I flagged her to tell her never mind (since it was taking too long and I was finished at this point), she said she forgot to place the order entirely. It was honestly fine and instead we decided to order dessert. We clearly ignored all the other red flags, because after another 20 minutes, my partner made eye contact with her to again ask where our dessert was, she absentmindedly remarked that she would go check, and then came back 5 minutes later and said that the kitchen seemed to have "lost the order" but I'm pretty sure she just never put it in in the first place! She said if we still wanted it, it would take 7 minutes, but by now we were pretty over it so we just asked for the bill. We fully intended to leave a bare minimum tip, so imagine our shock when we saw an automatic 18% tip had been charged. We both just wanted to get out of there as fast as we could since we were pretty much sitting for over two hours now, so we let it go.I don't know if this server was having a bad day or just tired or had low energy, but I wish I had asked her because it just left our whole experience feeling crappy. She was absent minded the whole time I could see her interacting with other tables around the dining space, and sometimes saw her pacing, stop, and turn around and go in another direction, which was all just such odd behavior.Advice: maybe come here for lunch when it's less crowded instead of going for dinner, maybe the service will be better? Idk.
Be the first to ReplyMy girlfriend and I came here for cocktails and dinner.
The food was really good but our server got the order wrong and didn't check up on us for up to 45 mins. By the time she finally came over we were ready to leave so we just asked for the check instead of telling them they messed something up and waiting even longer for them to fix it. Since the service was so lacking we were going to leave a 10% tip but an 18% tip was already included in the charge. The portions were also way smaller than we expected considering the prices. We stopped at a taco truck after.
Be the first to ReplyGreekmans is bland.
The side of hummus is literally about two tablespoons for $3 and it's tahini and water. So bland. Girlfriend got prawns with all the marinade on the shells. Once she removed it, she removed the flavor as well. Skip this place. It's just not worth it.

Overall really nice Greek meal at the Greekman's current incarnation. My only quibble is that the menu is not very descriptive of each of the dishes so if you have any allergies you might want to ask about each item since some come with mayo, some come with garlic, some come with other kinds of dressings and few of which are described on the menu.
Be the first to ReplyWe walked out after waiting an hour for our food.
The waitress was clearly overworked, came off extremely rude although I think she was just exhausted. Food kinda looked like overpriced bar food anyway. Can't win em' all I guess.
Be the first to ReplyCame here last night for their Greek Pop-Up, Greekmans.
The four of us were seriously impressed with the overall freshness and depth of flavor in literally everything we ordered. Their cocktails alone are on another level, if they opened a bar I would come here for the drinks alone. The food was spectacular, we ordered just about everything. Chicken, lamb kofta, beef, shrimp, hummus plate, olives + feta, lemony potatoes, octopus, fries...All the meats are beautifully charred and have delicious accompanying sauces. My husband usually isn't such a hummus fan but says it was the best / creamiest he's ever tasted. Lemony potatoes were excellent and the fries a strong 10/10.I wish this place was open longer. Will have to come back and try Freedman's if their chefs are THIS good. Oh and also, service was great, our waitress was very attentive and friendly. I think there's only a few more weeks to come here before it closes for the season - if you're thinking of trying it out, run don't walk!
Be the first to ReplyWow! That's all I can really say.
To stumble across such a welcoming place and the food was made with love. If you are looking for some great hospitality and a real kick for your taste buds...this is the place. Thank you.

We came for their temporary "greekman's" and we're not disappointed. Just delicious fresh food. Wish we lived a teeny bit closer - id be here weekly for their lemon drop martini alone. Apps were amazing.

So the bad review is because for some reason the full menu only offered in the patio. It's quite hot. The bar is open with limited menu. Just makes sense it offer it both. Ask for vaccine cards, offer indoor seating at lower capacity, there has to be a way.
