Frenchette Bakery New York Reviews from The Last Year
Great Croissants and Excellent Service!
The 2 young women who worked behind the counter were so nice and courteous! They served with a smile! We just had croissants, and they were terrific after a long walk in NYC!
Breakfast at The Whitney
Just a nice place for a tasty latte, cortado or cappuccino with a croissant. Prices are "New York"-style. Reception and service pleasant and very friendly. Frenchette is located next to the Whitney Museum of American Art.

This bakery is inside an office building and a little hard to find but they are serving up some solid pastries and espresso drinks. Great for an afternoon pick me up! The Pistachio croissant is fire. Flaky, buttery, and with a delicious subtly sweet pistachio filling. Service was friendly & efficient. Great find!

I've been wanting to check out the new incarnation of the former Arcade Bakery for quite some time. Part of its appeal of course is its semi-hidden location inside the lobby of a 1920s office building in Tribeca. I stopped here for a quick meeting on a Friday afternoon and had a chance to try the pizzette that they serve at lunch time. The cornmeal-crusted dough itself was lovely, although the tomato sauce and mozzarella toppings were not especially memorable. I wish they had a few more vegetarian sandwich offerings - the baguette otherwise looked quite appealing.
Frenchette's Galette des Rois is LEGIT.
Combining pistachio and Bergamot orange frangipane, Frenchette gave this festive golden pie a new life. The caramelized top completed the buttery deliciousness. It would have been perfect if they reheated the slice for me. But never mind the puff pastry was surprisingly still very flaky with crackling crunchy sound. Compared to their Twice Baked Pistachio Croissant, this Pistachio Galette des Rois was less oily and less sweet. I've tried pistachio rasberry galette des rois in Japan this year but it was way too sweet. Glad that I have found a real winner at Frenchette.
Frenchette Bakery is an amazing place to eat authentic
Frenchette Bakery is an amazing place to eat authentic French pastries. I came here for breakfast. The ambiance was no-frills. The service was fine. The food was fresh, delicious, and high quality. I recommend the croissants and kouign-amann.
Glad I gave this place a second try! First time, I only got
Glad I gave this place a second try! First time, I only got the egg savory pastry with the mortadella and it was quite disappointing. the 2nd time, I tried a few other pastries and they were all so well made - especially the pistachio croissant, may be my favorite pistachio croissant in the city. The coffee is solid too.
Review is for the canelé only which was great.
When I arrived they had just come out of the oven so they were very warm. The custard wasn't quite set but it still had wonderful texture, flavor was good although I think the vanilla/rum could've been more pronounced, but the shell was great.
The mortadella and egg pastry were pretty great.
I found the croissant to be a bit bland. Not as flaky and buttery as I wanted it to be. Overall, highly recommend Frenchette Bakery.
The mortadella and egg pastry and the market greens pastry
The mortadella and egg pastry and the market greens pastry were sublime. The coffee and latte were very mild and not the best, but the pastries were amazing.
Updated review because my husband bought me a hazelnut
Updated review because my husband bought me a hazelnut double bake and ITS AMAZING. Even better than the pistachio version IMO and I thought that one was pretty dang delish. I'm just leaving this review to make sure they keep making these.
Reviews are spot on.
This tiny window tucked inside a lobby turns out incredible pastry. The twice-baked Sicilian pistachio croissant was otherworldly. It had a hint of pistachio cream inside that made this pastry next level. They also make a top-notch flat white. This isn't a grab-and-go place. This is a patiently wait for your excellent pastry and coffee and enjoy it in Hudson River Park.

I have a notice stating that my bid has been accepted and is awaiting transfer. The reservation is for the 18th, but the “moderator” said he will confirm booking by the 28th. Is this an indicator that I may not have a reservation?

Hey @EvocativeFold67, welcome to appointmenttrader! Once the reservation is in your portfolio, you definitely own the timeslot, the review team would not have approved the trade if the reservation wasn't confirmed - so you are going :-) Judging from your post you bid today and are going tomorrow - don't worry as long as you initiated the name transfer, you are good - the transfer service has to work with the opening hours of the reservation team of the respective venue. You will likely see the transfer confirmation a couple hours before your reservation time.
