I was excited to try this restaurant with my friends. It has such an interesting history. But first things first. The decor has old world charm, the atmosphere is great and the service is impeccable. I had the halibut which was excellent but my husband can’t say the same for the steak. It was horrible with more fat than meat and chewy. He has had better steaks elsewhere in restaurants that are not known for steak. As far as calling this restaurant a steakhouse is concerned, it does not come up to par. If we were to go back, it would not be for steak. That being said, again, the halibut was excellent, the shrimp cocktail and clam kimsino very good, along with the Parker House rolls but they need to work on getting steak right.
