Worst steakhouse experience ever
Worst experience ever for a steakhouse. First ordered an Irish Mule (versus Moscow Mule). watered down to the max. Sent it back. Next version. Less watered down- but having given my expectation to the staff= 50/50 scotch + ginger beer = weak Bone in strip loin. Never heard of a bone in strip loin. Ordered medium rare = arrived extra rare = almost blue. Spoke with the manager - returned. They "re-cooked" the same piece of meat. Second time was rare. Spoke to the manager again. He agreed both times with my summation. Offered to replace or something new. After 90 mins I was done re-ordering anything. Worst experience ever in terms of a steakhouse Side note: not indicated when reserving. Restaurant is under construction/renovation. Crammed into a small noisy room (seating approximately 60). So noisy, couldn't hear my partner speaking. Not to mention the service staff tripping over themselves. Worst experience ever... Would not recommend or return. Management did not charge for the steak. However, charged for the Irish Mule + scotch (versus replacing the vodka with scotch)
Be the first to ReplyI hope the remodel helps
I hope the remodel is a better experience when complete. We were squished at a two top along a wall right next to the door with 3 other two tops. Intimate conversation was impossible. Usual offerings of steak and chicken with a la carte items. Wine list was small. No specials, if there were the waiter did not tell us. I ordered a sparkling wine, brought to the table very full, but must have been the last of the bottle, almost no bubbles. Calamari was fried and haphazardly put on a plate with a small square ramekin of marinara sauce. It was ok. The selection of bread was good, but the ramekin of almost frozen butter made it hard to spread. Cesar salad was good, they split the salad on 2 plates as requested. Iโm not in the least bit cheap, but I do not like leftovers when out of town. Malbec was good, not decanted. Ribeye was good, although we had to split it ourselves. The creamed spinach was lackluster. One grapey port offered on the menu. We had a crime brรปlรฉe which was a standard in many restaurants. One find thing, we both ordered coffee and got our own little pots. Visit the washroom before you go, the walk is long. We made friends with the couple next to us, how could we not? No recommendations from the waitstaff. Watch out for the photo lady, 137.00 for photosโฆ say no right away if you are not interested. We will visit again when itโs renovated.

Always first choice for steak in Las Vegas. The food is superb and the service is usually very good.....(however once the server was too "phony friendly" but it was more amusing than annoying). THey are closed now for remodeling and I hope they don't ruin the old style atmosphere I liked so much. Already planning my next visit and hope they will be open by late summer.
Be the first to ReplyGreat New York steak house
Gallaghers Steak House in Vegas is a must-visit for steak lovers. The ambiance is classic New York steak house, perfect for a special occasion. The menu boasts an impressive selection of juicy, perfectly cooked steaks, all aged to perfection. The sides and sauces are also delicious, complementing the steaks perfectly. The service was top-notch, with the waitstaff knowledgeable and attentive. The wine list is extensive and pairs perfectly with the food. Overall, Gallaghers Steak House is a fantastic dining experience and I highly recommend it.
Be the first to ReplyDelicious Steak
My friend and I both ordered the dry aged New York strip. It was one of the most delicious steaks Iโve ever hadโฆ that wonderful char. My baked potato was a bit under and the wines by the glass were unimpressive, but the steak made up for all of that.
Be the first to ReplyFood/Service not what I expected
My food took forever to come out. Steaks I ordered were nothing but fat, I personally wouldnโt come here again.

After having been at Gallagher's in NYC, with amazing service and one of the best Porterhouse steaks I've ever had, I was pleased to discover that there was a Gallagher's at the New York New York Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas. I immediately reserved a table for 2, expecting to have the same wonderful experience as I had in NYC. We arrived on time and, after waiting 15 minutes, were shown to our table. After a few minutes the server came to take our orders - Porterhouse steah and filet mignon. We waited MORE THAN ONE HOUR for our food to arrive. I complained to the manager, who informed me that this can happen and offered me a measly beer as compensation. The only reason we did not get up and leave at this point was that I assumed that the steak (when it arrived) would be as fantastic as the one in NYC, and would be worth the wait. I was sorely dissapointed when both the Porterhouse and the filet mignon were dry and tasteless. In Las Vegas there are many great steakhouses. This one does not deserve to be mentioned in the same breath.

Looked forward to a great steak at a fine steakhouse. Got neither. For some reason the "network" was bogged down and we ended up scurrying to our 7:00 show from our 5:00 reservation! Busy place as the rodeo was in town, I'm guessing. Steak was okay. Got apologies from wait staff. Seems he was used to the feedback. Had a great show and will go back to NY, NY, but not to Gallagher's.

We had Scott as our server and he was 10/10 what he recommended from the menu, we had and it was fantastic. He had a lovely manner and made us feel like his friends and made our night. The food was 10/10 and worth every dollar. It is an expensive restaurant but weโll worth the bill. We now been to both NYC And Las Vegas Gallaghers and have been equally impressed with the service and quality of food. Thanks to the staff and chefs who work really hard to make the Gallaghers experience what it is.
Be the first to ReplyFabulous steaks
The food is excellent, brilliant wine list (if a little overpriced) and the waiting staff are top notch - Scott is a great representation of the positives. If you can see past the slightly frosty front of house staff, it will be worth your wait.
Be the first to ReplyGallagher's Steakhouse is a MUST when in Vegas
Located in New York, New York, this is one if not the best steak joints in all of Las Vegas. You must come here and experience the wait staff and their above average service and attention to your tables need.
Be the first to ReplyGood food and very good service
First off here is our overall experience. We made our reservation early since we were going to the Mad Apple show. We were seated in the rear next to the servers and public bathroom. It was not busy in this area so we quickly ordered and got our drinks and bread. After sitting for a few minutes we noticed a nasty smell every time someone went to the bathroom. We asked the server to move us to a better location and they promptly got us a table close to the kitchen. They didn't seem happy about moving us but acted professional and took care of us nonetheless. We had a different server and he was great! Omar was very professional and was on top of everything from the time we sat down. About the food: 1st off the bread they serve is delicious. They have a cranberry nut bread that is outstanding. You'll have a hard time putting it down! For dinner we ordered the pork chop and salmon. We opted for the bacon Mac and cheese and parmasan garlic fries. The Mac and cheese was one of the best I've tried! It's right up there with the lobster Mac and cheese from Capitol Grill and Fleming's. The fries were dry and had very little taste so stay away from these. For dessert we ordered the new york cheesecake and it was excellent. Overall it was a nice meal with great service. I wouldn't eat here again with all the other choices in Vegas but if you're looking for a nice meal, Gallagher's is a good choice.
Be the first to ReplyBest dinner ever!!
Dinner started with drinks: pomegranate lemon drop martini. It was perfect. Ordered the tomahawk steak which was perfectly prepared. The service Brian and Jon provided was amazing. Everything was delicious!!
Be the first to ReplyNot worth the price for the hype we heard.
So we were there in June, we had tickets to see Mad Apple, the new Cirque de Soleil show, (btw go see the show its fantastic.) We made reservation for 2 hours before the show, giving us time to be seated and eat. Our server was fantastic, attentive, pleasant, and informative. I ordered a caesars salad for an appetizer. The lettuce was yellow and old, the dressing was on point, but only the dressing was actually good. I ordered a bison steak and the wife orcered a filet mignon. I asked for it to be cooked medium, my wife medium well. We ordered pureed potatoes and garlic broccolini. About 30 minutes later our food arrives. My steak came rare and cold, my wifes steak was well done and dry. The potatoes had no flavor at all. Having dined at craftsteak often, we thought the potatoes would be at least on par with craftsteak, we were wrong. No matter how much salt or pepper we added it was just bland. The broccolini was quite good. We had 40 min until show time so we just ate it and had to run. Not having the time to wait for new steaks to be cooked, or new potatoes to be made correctly. We have eaten most of the best steakhouses in Vegas, and this by far was the worst. The service was fantastic, our server I tipped well, but the food was terrible.I could not reccomend gallaghers to any of my friends, it was just that bad.
Be the first to ReplyAll-Around Excellent!
Second visit here and even better than last time. Service great. My NY steak and wifeโs Prime Rib both excellent. Yum. Both had Caesar Salads too. Nice atmosphere and great experience. We plan to make it a yearly event around our anniversary. Excellent. Recommended.

Very disappointed. Steak was VERY overcooked, had to send back 2 out of 6 steaks (group of 6 people) Staff/waitress did not seem to care that the steaks were poorly cooked. We got the impression we annoyed them by having to have them recooked. Came to celebrate my sonโs 30th birthday and overall just a very disappointing experience. What was supposed to be a wonderful evening was anything short

First time to this location. Been many times to the NY location which is one of my favorites! We were able to get the Chefs Table which is a booth for 6 IN the kitchen. Unique experience. Service was great. Food was quite good. There are better steaks in Vegas for sure, but this is a nice all around option.
Be the first to ReplyBest Tomahawk steak
Five stars. We wanted to try a Tomahawk steak. Waiter very knowledgeable about steaks. We made our selection and took him up on the sides. Steak was great the cocktails were delicious as well

Reservation for 745 on a Friday. Waited a couple minutes before seating. Restaurant was busy but not full. Took about 5 minutes to be acknowledged. Menu is limited which I consider a good thing. Bread basket to start, sour dough and a cranberry nut wheat bread. Husband ordered the tomahawk steak and I got the NY strip, both medium rare. Shrimp cocktail and calamari for apps. Bacon Mac and Cheese to share. One cocktail (Havana mojito) and no dessert. Service was attentive but not intrusive. My husbands steak was seasoned much better than mine. The steaks were good but have had better at that price point. Took leftovers to go. Kinda disappointed I couldnโt take the bone home for the dogs but oh well! Tab $250+ tip. We will try other steak houses next time. Food was good but not memorable.

The filet and prime rib are top notch. Cooked perfectly, the flavor is outstanding. Tender and juicy the sides are delicious, I wouldnโt order too many because itโs a lot of food. The old fashions are top shelf and well made. Over all wonderful experience, all our senses were satisfied. It was a perfect night. And we bout the whole picture package because it was our 25th anniversary.
Be the first to ReplyTough prime rib was a joke to them
I was with 3 other people and their dinners were impressive. I ordered prime rib and my knife seemed dull so I asked the for a sharper knife. They brought me two more knifes and the second one could cut ok. I had even spilled the au jus with one of the dull knifes as I tried to cut the prime rib. I told the waiter my prime rib was tough to cut and he chuckled and said "3 knives are better than one". I told him that was not funny but he was still grinning. The prime rib was very tough to chew and I just filled up on the delicious mashed potatoes and bread instead. I told the other waiter and he told the cooks. Our table was next to the cooking line and we got to watch them all chuckle about the tough prime rib. I told the second waiter that I didn't think it was the preparation but the meat itself. It was medium rare, just very chewy. They didn't charge us for the prime rib but still the experience that was looked forward to was greatly diminished by their attitude
Be the first to ReplyMust try Steakhouse
We visited on 1-23-22. Our meal was wonderful. Their steaks are cooked to perfection & their bone in pork chop was amazing. Ordered their wedge salad, our waiter was kind enough to split it before he brought it to the table.
A must try if you are in Las Vegas.
A must ; while in Vegas
A wonderful meal. We were looking forward to this experience all day. It did not disappoint! Great service and food. Very tasty meal and nice ambiance

I still remember where I was sitting when I had the best steak of my life. Nothing over the top with G's, but I would highly recommend it.
