Great steaks, great service!
Back again after too long a gap. Just as good as ever. Great steaks, great service. Special mention to our waitress, Adelina. She made it seem effortless, but such good customer service takes a lot of training and practice, and excellent staff selection. Thank you for exceeding our already high expectations.
Be the first to ReplyDisastrous birthday celebrations
Came for a big birthday celebration Booked weeks ago but you have thought we’d arrived on the off chance they way we were crammed into a corner. There were 7 of us on a table that at best would seat 6. Being near the door it was really chilly every time someone came in or out. Basically wore our coats most of the meal. Aside from the young man taking our order, the service was appalling. Brought our mains before clearing our starter. Then tried to clear while bringing the side dishes. Ordered chateaubriand for 2 which arrived unsliced and with one plate. When we said we were unhappy with the service, despite asking what could be done, the duty manager didn’t seem the slightest bit bothered. Waited 15 mins and asked 3 times for a second bottle of wine. Ridiculous wait from finishing mains to being asked about desserts, then a 20 min wait for 2 desserts. Once this was cleared there was nearly a 15 min wait for the bill. Will most definitely not be returning to a Gaucho restaurant again, and certainly would not recommend this particular venue. Given the prices charged we have had better quality of both food and service at our local pub compared to here.
Be the first to ReplyAmazing steaks
We went to gauchos for my work Christmas doo. We booked ahead for a table of 12. The communication was good pre-visit, the menus were sent and we picked our dishes. Upon arrival the restaurant was quiet, but it soon got busy as time went by. The service was very good and the staff were attentive. Our meals and came out together and the steaks were delicious. Everyone fully enjoyed their meal. The drinks were flowing and we stayed late, everyone had a good night

One of the best dining experiences in London. Amazing food and quality service. Highly recommended. Will go there soon
Be the first to ReplyFinally made it
Been looking forward to visiting the Gaucho chain & finally made it . Food was lovely and so was the location. Unfortunately the service was abit slow but not bad enough for me to not come back. I’m not normally a fan of chains but il be back to Gaucho
Be the first to ReplyOverpriced and don’t go on a weekend
Over priced and lacking atmosphere on a weekend. It has been 8 years since I last ate here and admittedly maybe choosing a Sunday at Canary Wharf, I shouldn’t have expected a buzz but the atmosphere was dead. The bathrooms need a refurbishment and while the food was delicious, they are living off an old reputation and very overpriced now you can find excellent steak at so many places in London for a lot less. £500 for three of us and my first two choices of wine unavailable. The yellow fin teridito was excellent but everything else was as expected.
Be the first to ReplyFirst and last time!!!
Booked a lunch here for my birthday but the experience was absolutely awful! Decor was tired and carpets were dirty. A DJ was playing loud music in the middle of the day - very strange concept. Is Gaucho a restaurant or a nightclub? The two "hostesses" on the front door did no work except for dancing around and chatting. There were huge gangs of lads making so much noise we had to ask to be moved to get away from them. The clientele seems very mismatched - huge groups of young men swearing and drinking, but there was also a young family behind us with small children who looked extremely uncomfortable. The food was cold and the wine was very average. Not worth the pricetag at all!!!
Be the first to ReplyElectro brunch
The brunch was actually good and the food and drinks came out fast. Service was also very good. The only bad thing was that we were sat next to the entrance and it was very cold with everyone coming in and out.
Be the first to ReplyLovely celebration
Had a really lovely evening with great service and appreciated the knowledge of our server in advising on wine choice. The attentiveness and little touches to help the celebrations made for a great occasion. Thank you to Dana especially, but also all the team.
Be the first to ReplyThe best meat always
I used to go often here, but after almost 2 years without going I went back and quality still the same. Gaucho has one of the best meats for my taste. Very similar to what I used to have in Brazil. I eat well done and they make the way I like. The mac & cheese recipe is even better now. And I loge they have cheese bread for starter. My only criticism is that the bread used to be free (what was amazing) and now they charge. At least they give you extra if you order.

Be the first to ReplySpectacular meal and service
We had a fabulous meal coupled with impeccable service from both the General Manager Carlos as well as our waiter Ionut. It was all 5 star. We took a river cruise and got off at Canary Wharf on a wimb. We enjoyed the Thames River view, the outdoor dining and the sophistication and attention to detail of our waiter. We can't wait to go back!!
Be the first to ReplyWonderful food and service, and a lovely skyline view
Location was lovely - a beautiful view over the river with the skyline in the background. We had a seat in one of the pods, with created a calm atmosphere and allowed some privacy. The food and drinks were faultless, as was the service. All the waiters were friendly and funny, as well as very professional, especially our assigned waiter Adrien.
Be the first to ReplyAn amazing meal. Good food and great service
We visited Gaucho’s Canary Wharf for a celebratory meal. The food was excellent and our waiter, Adrien, was exceptional.
Be the first to ReplyExtremely disappointed
An unopened outcome in a planned trip to Gaucho at Canary Wharf, starters were cold in the middle and let the waiter know who didn't acknowledge. We followed the discriscription of the steaks which the waiter gave, ribeye medium came out bloody with cold fat in the middle and medium rare came out over cooked with barely any pink. The manager who was very direct came out saying the chef says that that's how it's served, we explained what we were told and expected and it was not well received. After a back and forth we decided to just settle up and walk away. They didn't charge for bread chips and two beers (each) but overall demeanor was extremely poor and very uncomfortable while leaving
Be the first to ReplySteak
After an long anticipated wait me and my partner booked a meal at gauchos. We had very high expectations and we’re very let down. We both ordered medium rare and they came well done and stone cold. Can get much better from a high street chain.
Be the first to ReplyGood view , Great food Excellent Service
We had a fantastic family meal in Gaucho’s pod on Saturday . The food was delicious and the service from Tomas was faultless .
Be the first to ReplyExpensive and disappointing. Food OK but might need a stop at McDonald's on the way home
Amazed at how much you pay for so little. Nice place but MAJORLY disappointed. Went with steak and chips in mind but realised for the £30-£60 you pay for steak you LITERALLY get a steak.. Chips, salad, sauce all extra.. £5.50 for chips.. No thank you. So opted for budget meal burger and chips at £18.50...and what a pathetic offering that was. To be fair burger tasted great, but it was small and chips were stale and most of us left them and there was absolutely no garnish or anything on the plate. The lack of imagination and high devotion and attention to cost cutting at what is a fairly swish expensive restaurant is difficult to believe until you see it. Oh, and a steak restaurant that doesn't offer draft beers.. Not impressed, and very disappointed. £140 for burger and chips x 4 and 6 bottles of beer. Oh and beware, as we tipped twice by accident, the 12.5% gratuity being already added to the bill. Waiter served us well and was pleasant, nothing wrong with the service, just the food was sadly lacking. Went to see a show and then back to our hotel hungry.

My favourite steak house, I visit almost bi monthly and the service remains excellent regardless of the location!
Be the first to ReplyVery poor service
We visited Gaucho today as it was my partners birthday, we pre booked on open table and I noted that it was a special occasion which was the birthday. The waitress that served us was not very professional and friendly but it seemed that she was rather doing her job just to do it and not to actually make sure the customer was having a good experience. The runner that was bringing the food seemed more professional and friendly than the waitress to be honest. We proceeded with our meal and my sister in law then received her steak blue which was meant to be medium rare. We had to wait more than 10 minutes for someone to be available to speak about this. The same waitress was mildly rude about it insinuating that that’s how it should be but the steak was literally below blue. After going back and forth we finally got to have the steak butterflied which at this point everyone had finished their meal so it was less enjoyable anyways. We refused to pay service charge as we truly believe it is not a must however if earned we are more than happy to pay it + tip, but we was very disappointed, the waitress was very sarcastic when she asked why we wasn’t happy paying and I replied that the service just wasn’t good enough. It’s called SERVICE charge for a reason. The restaurant also didn’t make any remark of my partners birthday, I don’t expect anything however if there is an option to specifically let the restaurant know what occasion it is then surely you would do something to acknowledge the special occasion? On the bright side, Gaucho in Chelsea is my local restaurant and my all time favourite, very professional service and 10/10 experience everytime and such a shame other restaurants are letting the brand down.
Be the first to ReplyNo flavour
I used to visit this place often and I have always enjoyed it. Unfortunately, my recent visit was a complete let down. The food was completely bland and no flavour. I asked for my steak to be medium rare but it arrived blue. The dessert was lacklustre and was the starter. The bill was approximately £200 for 2 of us which I would say is good, considering we had drinks. However, because the food was a let down, I would say it was not worth it. I don’t think I’ll be returning back there. Should have gone to hawks moor instead.
Be the first to ReplyAmazing bottomless brunch
Amazing bottomless brunch! The cocktails were fantastic and our glasses were almost never empty - all made better by amazing service from Angelo! The food was also brilliant - it’s also bottomless and I couldn’t have eaten another plate I was so full.
Be the first to ReplyEverything great, in particular Adelina
This is a great restaurant for business meetings or date night. The food is consistently very good. The rib eye steak in particular. The cookie is also a personal favourite of mine after my waiter Adelina suggested on my last visit. She deserves a special mention as she treated us so well and was highly informed in the food and wine menus. Highly recommend.
Be the first to ReplyBest steak in Canary Wharf
We visit Gaucho whenever there is a need for celebration, and sometimes when not. It's not cheap but has some of the best steaks I've ever tasted and a fantastic wine selection.
