Good sauces
Great meat selection if youโre craving for beef. Sauces were good to pair. Friendly staff. Will return back
Be the first to ReplyPoor experience.
We arrived for a pre-theatre meal early on Valentine's day for a 4.30pm booking. We expected to leave about 6.30pm. During our meal some sort of staff training was going on around us with table numbers and instructions being given to what looked like a new employee. The service was rushed by the staff. I'm assuming they wanted the table for another booking after us. The scallops for the starter were served lukewarm but the prawns were good served piping hot. Literally as soon as the starters were finished the plates were replaced with the main courses. We had to advise that we needed a breather before the desert . The manager kept having heated conversations with the waiter, looking over at us as he was talking and the waiter would shrug his shoulders and the manager would shake his head. As soon as we finished a course or a drink the plate or glass was whisked away. I ordered the fillet and it was an awful cut, 1 end was sliced through the middle. It was tough and had sinews running through it. Not to be expected from a specialist Steakhouse. L Overall it was an awful experience and I would not go there again.
Be the first to ReplyFantastic bottomless roast
Me and my partner adored the roast here. The meat was cooked rare, exactly how we like it. The quality of everything was outstanding for a roast and it truly was bottomless. We are so used to being disappointed by roast beef when going out but this was the best Iโve had out! No dry over cooked meat in sight! They really know what theyโre doing here. The vegetables and gravy were also superb and we were rather greedy having multiple portions. The staff couldnโt have been more attentive or kind to us. Will absolutely be back. Thank you so much for making our dry January so much better - this has been the highlight of my month! :)
Be the first to ReplyDisappointing
Disappointing. Felt a bit rushed. Starter undercooked and bread was so greasy. Salt and pepper had to be asked for and didnโt work. Steak is usually always nice but my daughterโs steak was really grizzly and fatty. A shame as we like this restaurant. Not sure what the hurry was.

Sat at the bar, Freddy the bartender, knows his wine and can mix a cocktail! Beautiful to watch! Traveling in from the states. He made me feel so comfortable! Cheers!
Be the first to ReplyDisappointing
First time in a gaucho for some years and it was disappointing. Staff as usual were excellent but the food was pretty average. Gaucho is far from a cheap eatery and it just wasnโt worth the money. A real pity as I used to enjoy eating at these restaurants but will try somewhere else next time
Be the first to ReplyMUST VISIT!!
Freddie the bartender was very friendly and attentive! canโt recommend enough, itโs a must visit even if you are here just for a drink!!
Be the first to ReplyFaux sustainability (individually wrapped sugar cubes!)
Excellent rump steak main let down by almost every other aspect. Some things good, some very poor. A great shame - staff: polite but no knowledge of the menu nor of the wines. Really frustrating - starter: steak tartare - great steak cuts but otherwise disappointing. โRaw eggโ was almost cookedโฆ - starter: tuna - very small portion, a tasty let down - main: rump steak and ribeye - arrived well before wine and sides by more than 5 minutes. Apologies that the kitchen โwas a bit quickโ donโt really cut it. Rump good but my buddy did not think the ribeye was done correctly - sides: chips were very โMcDonaldโsโ & did not seem to be real, oyster mushrooms ok, spinach really good; humita with melted cheese and popcorn (?Hello ? )Too revolting to contemplate - beer: Malaga beer perfect - negroni: a let down Desserts : no good. Edible but just no good Coffee: excellent; but why individually plastic-wrapped sugar cubes? Contravenes the sustainability marketing position

Had my family visiting for few days and decided to treat them at my favourite restaurant. They all loved the atmosphere and the food, especially the amazingly cooked steaks. As always great welcoming staff.
Be the first to ReplyAmazing food and ambience in the Chelsea area
Went for a quick bite and gaucho didnโt disappoint me. Food came promptly and service was great. My server Davide was a star. Highly recommend. Shrimp ceviche to dielectric forโฆ
Be the first to ReplyMouthwatering food. Guests were very happy!
Chelsea Gauchos you always deliver brilliant mAIN and desserts. I am a regular now as youโre aware and I never leave feeling disappointed. Weather for the Sterline steak before but this time it was the burger fries are to die for. And the cheesecake is mouthwatering.

Thank you so much for the great experience this month. we loved the steak. Excellent staff aswell, however they could be a little more attentive.
Be the first to ReplyBirthday dinner
My partner took me here for my birthday meal. I usually have steak when I go to other Gauchos but decided to have the chicken breast instead. It was simple yet delicious! Mac and cheese, broccoli, mash and bread basket were all mouthwatering - as they usually are. My partner asked for his burger well done - it came medium/rare. They were happy to cook another one along with his sides. The problem was I had finished my food by the time his new burger came out. Which was a little disappointing we didnโt eat together. They didnโt have a Pornstar Martini on the cocktail menu, but were happy to make one for me, which I thought was accommodating. Would visit again.

Thank you Rossella and Andre. I had dinner with my mum and she loved it๐. Everything was perfect! Iโll come back again 100%. Thank you
Be the first to ReplyVery average food
The restaurant is a chain of meat food. Very average food and meat with no magic. The ribeye is flavorless. Very disappointed and will not go back.

One of the most tasty steak tasted recently. Juicy and flavourful. Attentive and well knowledge staff. Wine is great too
Be the first to ReplyLovely atmosphere, amazing food
Went for dinner on Saturday for a friend leaving party. Everything was outstanding, from the food to service.(sorry didnโt catch the waiter name) The gaucho sampler delicious and cooked to perfection. You can definitely tell there is high quality meat and good skilled chef behind the kitchen. Also great selection of wines. Thank you for the amazing evening, will be back soon!!
Be the first to ReplyAlways great
Dined here on the weekend. Great food, especially the steaks that are always cooked to perfection. Tasty desserts too, cheesecake and the chocolate torte definitely our favourites. Their steaks are sustainable too which is a plus for the environment! The friendly and knowledgeable staff makes you feel like home. 100% recommended!
Be the first to ReplyDonโt go brunching if youโre gluten free
We visited Gaucho with friends for brunch - and had stated on the booking (a month ago) that I was gluten free.
There was only two gluten free options on the menu - the steak with an egg and the Eton mess (at first they even said the Eton mess was gluten free). I asked if there was the possibility of potatoes or some carbohydrates - there wasnt. I then offered to go and buy my own bread from the Sainsburyโs next door so I could have one of the dishes with bread and they refused to use this in the kitchen. This bread would have been sealed yet they refused to use it. Lunch was being served in the front area so I know other dishes would have been cooked in the kitchen. My second order of steak as also forgotten.
In the end I left the brunch to go and buy some crisps as a break from eggs on eggs on eggs - at least I can say I'm ready for Easter!
Honestly Iโd have hoped they could have dealt with my allergens better - if it wasnโt for the beautiful Eton Mess the brunch would have been a disaster. That and the aperol spritz were the best Iโve had.
Iโve eaten in the evening at Gaucho before and had the best time so I was really disappointed.
Birthday Celebration
My Daughter selected this restaurant for a family celebration of her Birthday. We all love steak so we were hoping for something special. The whole experience was pretty mediocre. The steaks were ok but not great, the service was ok but not brilliant and the atmosphere was noisy without being energetic or fun and as we were seated by the door it was cold. To top it all some drunk thought it would be a good idea to start a fight with the manager.
The clincher for the poor review was the cost the meal and experience were nowhere near value for money. The place lacks class, the food is average and the price is high.
Great Time
perfect steak and nice food and wine offered. Staff are really knowledgeable and friendly. Everyone is smiley and not stressed. Nice atmosphere.
Be the first to ReplyGreat feed, great service
Absolutely delighted to have chosen this venue for a friends reunion. We were able to have a predinner drink in the lounge bar area which wasn't really open but enabled us to gather ourselves and chat prior to everyone's arrival. Table was ready, service from Andre and Robbie was top notch. Attentive and helpful great selection of naughty desserts. Well done
Steaks were cooked to request to perfection
Thank you for allowing us all to stay later to ensure every member of the party had their taxi ordered well done and care given for safety thank you
Below average Sunday lunch
I don't usually write reviews but we visited Gaucho's for my husbands birthday with our family. We arrived early so asked if we could have a drink at the bar, we were shown to a dated room which was extremely hot, lacked atmosphere and the bar was closed. Eventually someone came with drinks menus and took our drinks order.
On requesting to be shown to our table we were shown to another room that lacked atmosphere with no natural light, was poorly lit and only one other table was occupied. There was someone cleaning the wine bottles on show for the duration of our lunch, which surely should be done before the restaurant opens.
Our waiter introduced himself then disappeared and another waiter served us.
We all ordered the the 'never ending roast' as we were told if one person wanted this option we all had to have it!!! We also ordered some bread, whilst we waited, but this was a total waste as it arrived with our mains.
Our food arrived and was awful.... Some of the beef was raw, like it hadn't been cooked at all and some overcooked. The green beans were overcooked and soggy and it was all lukewarm. The menu stated that we could chose from three different joints of meat but we were only offered beef or lamb which we had the last of and it was only 2pm. We had to ask for condiments which took ages to arrive.
The desserts were ok apart from the sticky toffee pudding which looked good but was very dry like it was past its best.
What should have been a lovely birthday lunch was extremely disappointing and for a family of 7 cost ยฃ500 which I believe for a below average experience to be extortionate.
Great Place
Quick Bite with colleagues.
Great food and service. They never fail!!
They also introduced a fantastic new vegan menu offer!!
Come back to taste more
Great Sunday lunch
We enjoyed the unlimited roast on a Sunday afternoon. Lovely tender slices of beef and plenty of veg - All unlimited. A wonderful lunch and our experience was enhanced by our very attentive waitress - Dani who offered an excellent level of service. I would highly recommend Gaucho for Sunday lunch. Really great value. We will be back!
