Overcharge me for no reasons
Overcharge price for no reasons I order food. The bill with 18% tip is 90. But they charged me 120 for no reasons. Totally rip-off.
Be the first to ReplyBeautiful Atmosphere , Limited Menu but still a 5
Beautiful dining room with Iconic chandelier in the middle of a round room. Limited menu but I still recommend it as an overall great experience . Fantastic Bar and beautiful outdoor dining area as well
Be the first to ReplyDisappointing
Food not great, according to prices. Bad experience with the choice of wine selected. They brought me the most expensive and didn’t realize it until the account was brought. Nice place, food not great, not a nice experience.
Be the first to ReplyGreat Food, great atmosphere
Amazing! atmosphere cool, old brat pack hang out to great food. Tried all different stuff think my favorite was the sweat pea guacamole, absolutely delicious. Service was outstanding. Highly recommend
Be the first to ReplyMushy, mayonnaisey, and overcooked it’s a pass
Had truffle pizza was mushy like it was microwaved, the scooped tuna tartare was tasteless and mayonnaisey, the grouper overcooked. Octopus was very good. Took 38 minutes to get first drink. Nice ambiance and vibe. Skip this place
Be the first to ReplyDelicious dining with comfortable seating in a nicely understated, professional, and friendly atmosphere
Food was savory and superb! My husband and I came in for a drink, and after meeting Dago, with his enthusiasm for the Matador’s menu, we wound up staying for a bite. With Matthew’s recommendation, we had the truffle cheese pizza and the fish tacos - both were SO DELICIOUS!! I often associate truffle with mushroom and when I asked our server, Matthew, for his thoughts on adding mushrooms to our pizza, he said it was fabulous as is…. and he was right!!! As for the fish tacos…. being from Boston I thought that we had a pretty good sense of “fresh fish” - but the fish and other ingredients in these tacos were so flavorful and just smooth and enjoyable to eat!! Both Dago and Matthew were attentive, respectful, helpful and kind throughout our visit. We might have to go back tomorrow before we head back home. And for dessert we got the strawberry pavlova and the chocolate lava cake - I had the pavlova, my husband had the chocolate bomb, each were so good that we weren’t even interested in sharing! Thank you Thank you Matthew, Dago & the talented kitchen at the Matador, for making our wedding anniversary dinner in Miami Beach so memorable!!
Be the first to ReplyThe Matador room at the Edition hotel, Miami Beach.
This is an amazing restaurant, 5 star. The atmosphere is just wonderful, with great attention to architectural design. We ate outside on the terrace. The food was superbly served, 5 course service. All the food was cooked to perfection, and the accompanying wines were superb.
Be the first to ReplyGreat surprise at Miami Beach edition
Was with my college age son and this place was a great surprise. Our server Andrew made excellent recommendations for all of th courses and the pollo con arroz was very tasty. The desserts were also outstanding
Be the first to ReplyNice bar. Terrible food.
After great drinks in the impressive bar, we moved to the restaurant. The dinner room is pretty cool. The service and food were not good. The tapas / family style format was odd because single plates came out at 10-15 minute intervals. We ordered potatoes with aioli, calamari and fish tacos. The potatoes were mushy and greasy. The tacos came out (again, 10-15 min minutes later). They were soggy and drenched with a sauce. Gross. The calamari never came and we gave up. Don’t bother eating here.
Be the first to ReplyGreat Bar Drinks and Service
I came to edition at the bar the bartender Max recommend Honeydew Mezcalita cocktail and it’s been the best cocktail in Miami. He was very professional and attentive and has a lot of knowledge in mixology. Great job edition on having such professional employees as Max. I will definitely come back.
Be the first to ReplyBeautifu with great substance!
Incredible food in a wonderful outdoor setting. I thought the place might be a bit too Miami flashy and lacking in substance but was pleasantly surprised. Really good mix of flavours, the octopus is a must! Service on the outside is a bit slow and messy for an upscale place but an overall great experience outdoors.
Be the first to ReplyA Rare Jewel, Exceeded Expectations
Jean George’s Matador Room is a rare jewel of the Miami Beach restaurant scene that perfectly captures the essence of what fine dining is meant to be. While staying at the beautiful Miami Beach Edition Hotel, we dined at the Matador Room three times and we couldn’t get enough of it. The terrace seating for brunch or lunch delivers a modern tropical garden overlooking the pool that offers sunshine, blue skies and greenery punctuated with pink Bougainville. The main room for dinner combines immersive, warm mood lighting and elegant decor that make you feel like you’ve been whisked away into the grand dining room of an Old World Conquistador. Chef Lateisha, who heralds from the Bronx and is as humble as she is accomplished, hit a five out of five on every single dish, a feat I have never experienced before - having lived in Manhattan previously. From the maitake mushrooms (surprise favorite) and the hearts of palm heirloom tomato salad, to the black truffle and fontina cheese pizza and the glazed short rib tacos, we found ourselves in culinary heaven. Chef Lateisha was gracious enough to spend some time at our table speaking about her passion for the art she has most certainly mastered. Service was refined and outstanding at every level. The waiter’s assistant, Schneider, was a class act. Matthew (our server for brunch) was gregarious, fun and dashing. He made us feel taken care of. And the star of the show was Kara, our server for dinner and lunch. Kara was practically perfect in every way. She was attentive, personable, articulate and warm. She has mastered the art of hospitality and her recommendations were spot on. She is the standard by which we will measure all servers going forward. Overall, our experience was spectacular.
Be the first to ReplyOutstanding Miami Restaurant
This is one of Miami's best restaurants. The food here is well prepared. For appitisers the acorn fed cinco jotas iberico jamon and charcuterie and cheese board are fantastic. For entrees the roasted red snapper or grilled beef tenderloin (rare) are excellent. For dessert the tres leches cake is delicious. The service here is professional. The Matador Room has a sophisticated elegant ambiance.
Be the first to ReplyOUTSTANDING
We just ate at the Matador Room two nights in a row and it was FABULOUS! The views, atmosphere, service, and food are all OUTSTANDING! We were greeted by the Charming Host Andres- so welcoming. Excellent service from our servers Matthew, Andres, Ali and Anas- all phenomenal. The bartenders Michael, Leo, and Jean took great care of us as well. EXCELLENT FIVE STAR service all around. The chef Noel even came out to our table to check on us- impressive. Thank You to Managers Ely, Wendy and Alba for these exceptional employees. We will be back again real soon.
Be the first to ReplyCan't Understand What The Fuss Is About
Dinner at The Matador was an enigma to me. It bills itself as a Latin restaurant, but one appy—the iberico jambon—and one entrée—arroz con pollo (rice with chicken) are what I would call Latin. We had both, with the octopus and the fish tacos. . None of the appies or entrees were bad, but none were memorable. We knew it would be expensive, but from that expected a broader menu, and a lot more flavour. Very simple meals. It was an OK place, but no need to go back. Certainly the ambience—especially outside—is warm and wonderful. That big conch shell of a dining room—done up in beautiful dark wood--needs it to be almost full for it to have life.

Inside is also pretty, but outside is more pleasant. Food is very good and service is friendly. We would love to come back.
Be the first to ReplyGreat JG Restaurant
Within the new Edition, this JG-run restaurant has all the right Spanish flair. Food and service are great, as you would expect from JG's fine dining, would definitely visit again. The hotel bar and lobby are art-deco masterpieces, and worth enjoying if you show up early.
Be the first to ReplyWonderful Dining Experience
This restaurant is gorgeous and the food is delicious. The craft cocktails are amazing. Even the music is great. I must mention my server Kara. She is the best of the best! She took my dining experience to the next level. She’s a foodie who loves the menu here and knows it very well. All of her recommendations for my food and cocktails were spot on. Her knowledge and the personal interest she shows make a huge difference. I didn’t see Boris during this trip, but he is also quite outstanding and also adds something very special to my dining experience. During dinner, both restaurant managers (Wendy and Ely) stopped by to say hello and to make sure I was comfortable and had everything I needed. I know how busy managers are, so I really appreciate that they make time to check on and interact with the guests. The staff in the Matador Room, like Wendy and Ely, are warm and friendly. I really felt welcomed, valued and at home. Plus the food is absolutely fabulous! Highly recommended!!
Be the first to ReplySouth Beach locals love the Matador Room
Sunday Oct 23, 2022 My husband and I live in South Beach and are lucky to have a wide range of dining options. We wanted to treat ourselves and book an early table at the Matador room. Housed in the Edition Hotel- the room is absolutely stunning; we usually prefer the bar or the main dining room. But as the weather is unseasonably cool right now in Miami we opted to sit on the patio for the first time. Orly our host was so warm & charming- she made me want to come back and we hadn't even sat for dinner yet. Our server Boris was amazing. He had detailed menu knowledge, and he made awesome recommendations! The shaved brussels sprout salad with apples was a new item that I'll be back for. A twist on the Shrimp ceviche with banana and marcona almonds was to die for, But my favorite dish which I came back for was the arroz con pollo with the chicharron skin.... I was so tempted to steal the hot sauce bottle BUT I DIDN'T I PROMISE!! Love the Matador room and will be back to the Edition to check out their activations for Art Basel! Cynthia

Boris the waiter knows his stuff. Calamari, Ricotta pizza (arugula and chorizo), mushroom tacos, arroz con pollo all outstanding. Not cheap but worth it.

Most incredible service, food, ambiance! Palm trees and all the outdoor hanging plants and lights on the terrace! Wine was amaaaaaaazing. I LOVE this restaurant.
Be the first to ReplyHeart of Palm Salad a must
Fresh salad, great meat, amazing appetizers especially the octopus. The wine is great as well. Recommended already to friends.
Be the first to ReplyJean- Georges should be proud.
Such a great experience. Easy to book via OpenTable. Host stand very sweet and read the notes it was a birthday and asked whose it was. Very kind. Kara was our rockstar. Walked us though menu which was super helpful. Guided us on what to order based on our personal preferences and spice preference. I highly suggest the menu tour. What I really appreciated is you could tell she really cared and wanted us to not just have a meal but an experience. Such a kind soul. The atmosphere was pretty. Outside has a large amount of greenery but it was to hot to enjoy it. We sat indoors. Very pretty. Very rustic. Food comes out when ready which was nice. Sweet pea guacamole- little bit of a kick but delicious. Fried Potatoes- asked for a side of aioli which was a perfect compliment. Super good. Steak- the Chimichurri sauce was a perfect accompaniment. Cooked perfectly. Pollo and Chicken- the most filling of the dishes. On the sweeter side. We added the Habanero sauce per chefs recommendation. Made the dish perfect. Drinks can me made to order. Kara suggested my drink which was not in the menu. Super sweet and delicious. Staff on point. Always replacing out plates and wiping table. Appreciated the birthday dessert for my hubby. Great great meal.
