I would say about half the time I visit they have a wait
I would say about half the time I visit they have a wait but honestly the food is just that good. Staff is pretty quick and friendly as well.

We came for dinner which is already more expensive than lunch options, and they aggressively try to upsell this new $20 premium option which is not worth it imo. The female server by the bars on weekends has a lot of judgement and gossips to many other male workers instead of just doing her job. She will act fake when bringing the bill after being MIA the entire time, and as soon as you leave- run towards the bill in front of other patrons to snoop on how much tip they left. Unprofessional behavior to say the least. At the end of the day, people come here to eat good food, and have an enjoyable experience. That is not how I felt dining in under her experience. We waited 10 minutes before anyone came. No water. No orders. And being a sit down restaurant where you're expected to tip (now options are 25%) to cook your own raw meat, and there being a time limit, you can imagine the dissatisfaction and disappointment. Would not come back.

My friends and I went went to Gen for dinner last Sunday because one of my friends was craving the red wine pork belly. It was such a disappointing experience this time around. We haven't had this bad of an experience here before, but after this time, we probably will not be going back any time soon. In summary, the waiters were slow, not attentive to the tables around us despite it not being super busy, so we weren't able to get our money's worth of food. We honestly would much have rather driven the extra 10 min and paid the extra $10 per person at Yakini Q for better quality food and service (ability to order meats from the phone and constant grill changes). Service: 2/5 We were seated fairly quickly because it wasn't super crowded and there were a few empty tables around us. But, once we were seated by the hostess, it took us flagging down the same hostess to find our waitress to put in our first order of meats. Even when we put in our orders, it took a decent amount of time for it to reach us. Once we had the last dish on the grill, we waited to order our next round but the waitress kept stopping at all of the tables around us never reaching us. So we had to keep asking the hostess to find our waitress to put in our next order. We also asked 6 different workers for japchae and other sides, but we never got them so eventually we gave up. Lastly, I stopped two different workers, asked for a grill change, and both ignored me and walked away. I'm giving this a 2 only because the waiter that took our table after the first one went on break/ended her shift was super nice and checked on our last order. There was also another manager of some sort on the floor that kept an eye on our table for grill changes for the last round of meats. These two were the only helpful staff members we had. Food: 3/5 For the most part, everything tasted as you would have expected, but with the slow service, we really didn't get a chance to try as many things as we would have liked. The craving for kbbq and specifically the red wine pork belly was met, but half of our table didn't get full. Not pictured, we also got the fish katsu and a some other meats that weren't really that great. The fish katsu tasted like a McDonald's Filet O Fish and the smoked pork belly tasted like a McDonald's chicken nugget dipped in BBQ sauce. Although this wasn't the worst thing we've ever had, it just wasn't the quality we were expecting. We also got a few soups that barely reached half of the bowl and felt "watered" down. The cinnamon hotteok had some inside dough that wasn't cooked all the way.

I usually enjoyed this place and they have the best Bulgolgi. This is my first visit where they have the premium upgrade and it is worth it. The short rib tomahawk is already worth the $20 upgrade. I would also like to thank David for being the best server and convincing us to get the upgrade.

It was a packed Sunday night but we were seated within 5 minutes! We were going to opt for the regular menu but David presented us the premium menu and we were convinced to try it out. The premium meat quantity was so good! Super tender and soft! My favorite was the premium marbling center cut short rib. Food came out so quickly and David checked in a lot to make sure we got all our items and to see if we wanted to order more meat. Amazing service, great music, and nice interior. Glad to say we left satisfied and with a full stomach. Can't wait for my next visit back!

We were limited to 3 meats at a time for a party of 6. Half got to eat at a time because service was so slow to get more meat. They hardly came by for refills or pick up dishes. I ordered sake at the beginning of dinner but canceled it because they forgot to bring it out and we were done with dinner already. I wouldn't go back

The food is always great! Took a couple of friends out last Friday night around 6:45pm and it was pretty packed, typical Friday night. Everything was worth the wait though. Had a carafe of the yogurt soju (so yummy), and one of the lemon flavor. It's pretty loud with the amount of people that were there, and the music as well, so if you're looking for something intimate this is not the place. Shoutout to our waiter Angelo for the superior service even though it was crazy busy!

Did this place change ownership or something? I use to come here a lot. The food was great and the service was Excellent. But today - totally different. TERRIBLE New faces of waiters; seaters; and managers. They were RUDE and did not seem interested to work as Waiters. Food was slow. Our stove stopped cooking and we waited forever to get it turned back on. Seats were empty. ( wonder why) Mean and Rude when it came time to pay. Waited to see if we finish every bite. Come on... You could have gotten a better tip. Luckily to them... my siblings went along and gave 18%. Me? I wanted to leave less than 10%. NEVER AGAIN

On a Thursday night, a group of seven of us came to Gen for dinner to celebrate our friend's birthday. We were all regulars, dining at Gen at least once a month, but this experience was exceptional. All of the employees were fantastic, making our evening even more enjoyable.Our host, Thomas, was extremely welcoming and explained the dining process at Gen with clarity and professionalism. He made the experience super fun and enjoyable. Our server, Josh, was the best server we've ever had at Gen. He was quick to take our orders and delivered them promptly. Not only was he friendly, but he also sang happy birthday to our friend. Josh had all the little things down pat, communicating effectively with his coworkers and genuinely making our dining experience so much fun!We're grateful to Josh and the staff at Gen for making our friend's birthday special. We can't wait to return for our next meal!

Food was decent, however we didnt get what we ordered when we ordered it, id understand if the business was super busy and during a rush dinner hour but it was super slow. Service was terrible!!!! Our server forgot our order multiple times, we were seated a dirty and wet table, and the other workers were straight up flirting in front of my families table while we were eating!! The building was cool, and the lights were a great vibe but I will not be returning to this gen location again.

Have been to a bunch of Gen's and the music here is next level, had our Shazams out the whole time! Gus and Lily were fantastic, the staff couldn't be friendlier and have the best vibe. Mind you, we were a group of 9 (with 7 very hungry boys) visiting at 7pm on a Saturday during peak hour and the service was quick and the food delicious.Highly recommend this location!

My husband and I are coming from out of town and had been craving Korean BBQ for awhile now. This is our first time coming to this location and I had a great experience. We were there on Monday at noon and thank goodness it was not too pack. There was just another big party ahead of us. We were pretty much seated in 3 mins since it's just the two of us for lunch. We didn't see any physical menus, but there is a sign with QR code for you to scan and look up the menu. It looks like this is a thing here in the bigger cities. Our sever was was nice and seemed down to earth. She was very attentive to us and checked in on us at very appropriate times to make sure we have everything we needed or anything else she can get for us. We did the all you can eat lunch and the menu item number one, the steak was sooo good. Very tender to the bite. I also liked their spicy pork belly. The side dishes were all refreshing to break up the fat from the meat. In addition, I also ordered a side of tofu soup. Little on the spicier side but I liked it for the cold and rainy weather we were experiencing there at the time. My requested orders were placed and not long after came to us. We did two rounds and was enough for us. Metabolism is slowing down! Lol. I very much enjoyed their balsamic vinaigrette salad. It was fresh and no soggy and broken down veggies in there. The place had moderate noise. You can hear the sizzling plates of other people cooking and having a conversation. Overall my experience was pleasant and I would definitely come back and eat here when I am in the area.

food came out super fast today, quick service and it gets packed fast! We came at 5 put our names down and got seated by 5:30(-: our server jon was super attentive and made our table laugh a lot! been here a lot before, but tons of improvements with the staff!

The serving size for the meats was not that big and overpriced. The side dishes were very little selection especially I've been to Korean bbq places in New York and the side dishes ย makes up the experiences of enjoying Korean bbq. They only have two different side dishes of kimchi and a potato salad. Where's the fish cake? And other popular Korean side dishes?

I feel like they're understaffed here because I had to call on people and remind them on orders quite often. The cut pieces are ridiculously small sometimes, like the pork cheek wasn't a good size to cook so it burned easily. The pork belly, premium steak, premium brisket are easily my top picks.

I almost never go to all-you-can-eat places but this time was with friends. Came on a Sunday night and the service simply can't catch up with the crowd. The floor was dirty and greasy and I almost slipped. The food was fast-food quality and maybe worse. The worst part was the air quality - their exhaust fans on top of the grills were barely working so the whole place was full of smoke and fume, almost unbearable after 30 minutes. I had to bail with stomach half-empty because I had small kids with me and I was concerned about their health. I was also concerned about the waiters in there because it felt like 10x worse than secondhand smoke. Save your lung and don't go to this place.
