Cena a Venezia?
Have been to Giginoโs twice now and enjoyed it on each occasion. The entrance at the Battery is unassuming and can easily be overlooked, but the restaurant then opens up to offer a magnificent vista. With some delicate and surprisingly well seasoned Italian flavours in oneโs dish, and the lights of New Jersey across the water, one could almost be enjoying dinner in Venice. Good wines, generally good value for money, consistently agreeable service โ AND it is one of those New York addresses where you can still hear what your company is saying to you, if you happen to be interested in talking to them. Added bonus: proper espresso with a note of cereal.

This restaurant is a very short walk from the Museum of Jewish Heritage in Battery Park, Manhattan. Our table had a perfect view of the harbor, the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island. As the sun began to set, the staff moved a series of umbrellas to prevent the sun from blinding us. The menu was varied and the food very good. Service was very good as well. All in all, a perfect NY experience at less than NY prices! Our bill was about $90 per couple, plus tip.

We had dinner last with my family.
We paid 250$ for an horrible meal.
We were served cold bread at beginning of the meal.
As starter my husband ordered mozzarella and it tasted nothing.
I ordered fried calamari that they tasted very bad as the oil that they used must been used too many times.
We also had pasta alle vongole but was full of oil garlic and chili.
My husband and I ordered Aperol Sprits that was made with orange juice and water.
Itโs shouldnโt been called Italian restaurant but a sight seeing as the only nice thing was the view of the Liberty statue ๐ฝ
Great find
Stumbled upon Giginos by the luck of the draw when opening a restaurant guide app while we were in the area. It didnโt look like anything special walking up to it but once you walk through the indoor dining room thereโs a great outdoor area and a water views, you can even see the Statue of Liberty on a nice day. Great selection of authentic Italian dishes. Cleanliness in the bathroom could highly be improved and the friendliness of the staff Was standard at best, but enjoyed it for the venue and the quality of food. Even wrote about itโs on my blog

We meet some extended family here and had the pleasure of sitting out on the terrace, with fabulous river views. We even were able to see the Statue of Liberty clearly! We felt a lovely breeze from the water, and the sunshine felt super soothing and pleasant too. The food was also quite delicious. This is the perfect place for summer relaxation!

This restaurant was recommended to us primarily for the view of the water and the Statue of Liberty. The view was indeed wonderful, though due to the cooler air temperature, the outdoor area was encased in clear plastic. But the service and food experience was the shining star here. Service was very attentive and invested in us having a great meal. We had the prix fixe of three courses and were very impressed with the balance and flavor combinations. I had carp as a main course and it was delicious and cooked perfectly. So many options in the prix fixe looked good that we had trouble making our decisions. The eggplant salad was another standout. Donโt pass up the cocktails either. There are quite a few custom cocktails offered and the two we ordered were very well done. If we could, weโd give this restaurant a Michelin star!

At the end of a long day in NYC., occasionally, one needs to relax and not have to worry about anything except the expectation of a delicious meal in a beautiful setting. Gigino in Wagner park is just that kind of place. Much to my surprise they even offered a Prix Fixe menu for $35.00, but it gets better.
My table had a spectacular view of Lady Liberty, now celebrating her 135th birthday, and from where I was sitting, she didn't look a day over 36 in the dusk with the light behind her. But let's talk about the food. Delicious, satisfying and fresh. There were only two criticisms I had, and they were very quickly corrected. Halfway into the meal they turned on the music. Frank Sinatra. I loved it and realized that background music, especially good music, makes the moment even more special. My Italian Meal in this Italian Restaurant was now complete. And the other criticism? Not enough Tiramisu. They should have an "all you can eat" Tiramisu option on the menu. I dined alone last evening, but I felt at home and in good hands with the staff of Gigino. I promise I won't tell my wife how good food can actually be when prepared properly. lol
Wonderful outside dining option with excellent Italian based and seafood dishes.
We have come here many things nรฉe but this is the first after the pandemic. The open area under a large. tent Is great fir weather. Pleasant music c is pupped in and the menu is large and varied. Prices are a bit high but quality is what you get. Attentive service snd great views make a complete package. Call fir reservations especially on weekends.
Their gnocchi is just heavenly . Great fir family dinners snd a place to go to impress in a quiet refined way
Service was Slow
We went to Gigino to celebrate a friend's birthday. The location is amazing, with views of New York Harbor, Ellis Island and the Statue of Liberty. Seating is all outside, and the evening was pleasant. We arrived around 6:45, and were seated right away. Our order was taken and then we waited. Drinks arrived after 20 minutes. About 45 minutes later, our appetizer came out: Eggplant Sorrentino. This was quite good, with arugula added for that bite. After the appetizer plates were cleared, we waited another 45 minutes for our entrees. The Ossobuco d'Agnello was excellent, with a mint risotto that complemented it perfectly. My friend had the branzino, which he said was a little dry. We avoided ordering dessert, for fear that it would be another 45 minute wait. As it was, it took about 10 more minutes to get the check and pay. In all, this place has good food and the view can't be beat, but definitely make sure you have a lot of time if you're going to go.

Amazing Birthday Celebration
Hands down, the best Italian restaurant in the Battery. I organized a special birthday celebration for my husband and his entire family and Gigino at Wager Park did not disappoint. From the food, which was delicious, to the manager and our server and the entire staff at Gigino, all of whom were extremely courteous, helpful and friendly - ensuring our celebration was a success! The views are a plus, but this is a first class restaurant and I highly recommend.

Spaghetti del Padrino did not disappoint. From the bread to the Amalfi Lemon Tart dessert the meal was perfect. Great service. Too rainy for the view, looking forward to returning in better weather.
