Fun environment, great drink list and delicious and playful food! Highly recommend! Book early though because it can be difficult to get into

The place is nice looking but the food is kind of overdone in my opinion. Whatever I tried had so many ingredients that every bite tasted differently, depending on what happened to get on the fork. Roasted beet salad for example had beets mixed with bunch of different nuts, some random seeds, green leaves, grilled or fried pieces of something (onion maybe?), fresh berries, lots of dressing with chunks of cheese in, if I remember correctly, and flower petals on top of it all. It honestly felt like I'm eating multiple dinners leftovers mixed with a table sauce and sprinkled with flowers. Naan was good except it was heavily sprinkled with green onion and both dips had seeds and things dumped on top. Most of this stuff was not mentioned on the menu. Broccoli dish was extra salty and sea-bass was great but again it was surrounded with a whole bunch of different tastes and textures not necessary blended into a one main flavor. Portions are small but intended to be shared so they suggest to order 2 dishes per person. Nothing was bad per se, but with this amount of components in every dish it felt like a mess and at some point I felt a throw up in the back of my throat.

Every single item ordered was visually creative and the eclectic combination of flavors fantastic!

I have never liked restaurant more than the girl and the goat. All the dishes are beautifully crafted and delicious. The cocktails are delightful. I only hope that more people would come, but actually more people do come because it's hard to get reservations inside for in the dining hall, so be prepared to get your reservations, way ahead of time. Even Dave Roberts, LA Dodgers manager is a fan according to a clip I saw!! But don't take our word for it.. try it! The ambience is hip and trendy! I did not have every dish featured in the pics but you definitely get the idea!
Be the first to ReplyRestaurant needs more lighting.
Too dim to see anything. (The running theme is too salty) Food needs a lot less salt and less pickled sauce. Green beans in fish sauce vinaigrette and mayo doesn't make sense. Short ribs is salty and dry. Japchae is tolerable but again, can leave the pickled sauce out. Crunch chicken was moist, sauce is bad. Scallops are extremely salty. Water cups smell. The non-alcoholic drink 'spritz' something is not memorable. Service: ok Pricey, small portions for mediocre, badly cooked food. Fusion that doesn't fuse. Every dish manages to fail after one another.

20 minutes to be sat down at a table even though we had a reservation. 12 minutes and counting and we have not been served. Waiter finally arrives! No apologies for the wait, nothing. Food was good overall. A bit salty a couple of the dishes but good overall. First experience here was better than this one.

Just a tad pricey, but the ambiance is beautiful and dining here is a vibe. The food was delicious, different and memorable. I'd def come back.

Girl & The Goat, on paper, sounds like a place I would traditionally hate on. I'm a certified hater of most fusion restaurants and concepts. At first glance, I thought the menu was unfocused and messy... boy was I proven wrong, and with some swiftness too. From the moment I stepped in to the moment I walked out, I was thoroughly amazed at how well the staff took care of the restaurant and it's patrons. Everyone was attentive, receptive, and my glass was never less than half full. Lots of laughter and banter throughout the dining room and with a great backing soundtrack to match. Staff consistently checked on us and gave great recommendations! Now for the food: there were multiple points of the meal where I was stunned. Stunned at how well balanced each dish was. The sourdough was served warm and had a great bounce to it. Scallops and oysters, PLEASE do yourself a favor and try both. I'm don't typically have high hopes for scallops, but this one definitely paused time and made me rethink my position on scallops. Short rib noodles, made with sweet potato noodles, are also a stand out; perfectly spicy with tender cubes of short rib. Save some room for dessert, and love yourself and ask for an espresso with it! Every dessert I tried had standout textures and flavors; high marks across the board. P.S. $10 flat rate parking in the adjacent parking lot P.S.S. Spare a few extra pleasantries with their staff; everyone there is super nice and knowledgeable about the menus

After a long cross country flight, we dipped in for a desperate dinner on a Thursday night. While it was going to be a wait, there was no wait at the bar. And unlike some places, this bar had extremely comfortable seating and a gorgeous aesthetic. As well as a super attentive bartender, who was happy to provide recommendations. I had the goat old-fashioned and oh my God. The combination of brown butter wash bourbon and salted vanilla Demerara was stunning. Next, I had the chef Stef's Cadillac. This is basically like the Mercedes-Benz of margaritas. Certainly a high price tag, but it was delicious and certainly one of the best margaritas I've ever had. Worth it once, anyway. Made with santo mezquila, it was as unique as the old-fashioned. For food, we tried the pita sourdough with whipped feta and fennel mustard. Again, spectacular. We also had the chickpea fritters, which I could've had three orders of as well as maybe the best halibut I've ever had. This place wins.
Be the first to ReplyThe ambiance & food were both great.
They had a separate menu for vegans. I tried the shitake naan plate that comes with lettuce & you can make your own wraps. Delicious! The naan with hummus as appetizer was amazing as well. They do charge 4% surcharge automatically on your bill if you'd like to keep that in mind when tipping. The parking is also available behind the restaurant for $10 if you can't find free street parking around.

I sat at the bar to have drinks and eat dinner. Bartender was attentive and everything I ordered came out quickly. I still think about the salad I had for dinner here. Butterfly shrimp, strawberries with a hint of medium heat. This is one of my go-to places when visiting my hometown.

It was my first time dining there, but I have always heard good things so I was really curious about the place. First of all, just the ambiance already sold me upon entering. So cozy and spacious inside with a lovely intimate vibe. The cuisine that they serve is New American, and I really like that some of their dishes has Asian flavors. Their food is definitely the best I've had this year so far! From their Pork Belly Noodles, to their Strawberry Miso Shortcake, I was really impressed at the way they combined each ingredients and how it all harmoniously work to create innovative dishes that are bursting with delicious flavors. It was truly a delightful dining experience for us.

Let me spill the beans on one of my all-time faves - a spot we definitely don't hit up enough, but every time we do, it's a flavor-packed party! Vibe - off the charts! It's like walking into a warm hug with all the right feels. Plus, the atmosphere? You'll wanna grab a drink, kick back and stay a while. Service is top-notch as well!. Now, onto the main event - the food! Delicious doesn't even begin to cover it. And for all you plant-based pals out there, they've got some nice vegan options hidden up their sleeve. Just give ask and they'll hook you up! We've only swung by for lunch/brunch so far, but a dinner date is on the horizon! Menu might change so it's always worth sneaking a peek online to scope out what's cookin'. Everything we've ever laid our taste buds on? Magic. I'm already drooling at the thought of diving into their dinner spread! Can't wait to hit this joint up again and again. It's a culinary adventure you don't wanna miss out on, folks!
Be the first to ReplyI am not here to tell you this restaurant might not
I am not here to tell you this restaurant might not actually be the GOAT. I am here to tell you a story. It all started in the year 1972 when I was born. I grew up in Texas (woo) with my mother, father, sister and dog. I was happy. Free. Beautiful.. I was everything a child should be. That was until the year 2024 when I stepped foot into Girl & The Goat. I never knew that one trip to a restaurant could ruin my life forever but here we are. It was warm and clammy and smelled of odd cheese with a hint of baby throw up. I am a father to 4 so that was just kind of nastolgic but not whilst eating dinner come on now. The service was mid. Food tasted like poop. Anyway let's get into the juicy part. How this evening out ruined my life forever. Well first let's talk about who I was with -- I was on a date, my first in years since me and my wife split up. Everything was going smoothly, I wasn't really enjoying my food just the company.. that was until I felt a strange tingling sensation on my tongue which spread to my stomach and to my..you know.. so I stood up and excused myself immediately and ran to the bathroom when I heard laughter follow me. Normally when people laugh I feel self conscious and think they're laughing at me but this time I felt VERY VERY EXTREMELY uncomfortable. So for some context I was wearing white skinny jeans and I had to go commando that particular day because of some circumstances.. and you can probably guess what everyone was laughing at. I got back to my table with a jacket tied around my pants only to be met with an empty table and a note which read 'sorry, emergency' By the way it was written on a napkin with red lipstick. My kids were so excited to hear how my date went and I had to tell them I shut myself. I know this isn't the GOATS fault but your food sucks - Roy

Driven by here many of times and glad we finally made a reservation-had no expectations which is a great attitude to have when the food items seem somewhat foreign. Everything we had was delicious- that sense you want to return without having experienced the full meal yet. Started with the naan and dips- two types -one was carrot hummus and the other tahini. The naan was freshly cooked with fried onion, garlic and fresh green onions. We had the corn, green beans and wis fired broccoli. The pork shank had a nice crispy skin with naan , and lettuce for wraps. I was very impressed with the veggies we want to try them all. Great service, attentive, responsive and frequently checked on us. Again, can't wait to return.
Be the first to ReplyGreat food served family style and really good naan.
Everything was delicious, goat curry was probably my favorite and enjoyed the roasted beet salad. Would absolutely come back here again and recommend. Great service. Gets busy so make reservations.
Be the first to ReplyI would give this six stars if possible.
The pork belly appetizer was incredible. And everything that came out after kept getting better. The goat curry was divine and the flavors so wonderful. The crispy green and shrimp salad was really good too. The desserts were next level, as were the cocktails. Parking structure next door was icing on the cake!

The food was amazing the service was beyond what was expected. Freddy my server made all of the recommendations and it really made our experience amazing. The restaurant its self is amazing and having drinks at the bar then moving to a table was smooth. The experience was made whole by the amazing service by the them.

Ambience of the place was so cute! Ate here for a bachelorette brunch at the end of our trip. All of the dishes had some sort of Asian inspired twist to it. There's so many flavors that just all complement each other really well, especially the "this little piggy". Did not expect to eat strawberries with this dish but when I did it just made the dish taste that much better. I think my least favorite was the potato crepe. It was mostly crunchy, and sour because of the vinegar and pickled veggies. We were told it was somewhat family style dishes, so we ended up doubling up on the dishes pictured so we all had a taste of everything.

This place is incredible! Service is wonderful and food amazing! Will definitely be back for more
Be the first to ReplyAMAZING place! Great vibes.
Delicious food. Great aesthetic. Considerate of allergies. Great service. The reason I'm only giving 4 stars is A) there was no seat covers in the bathroom. It's 2024 & as a woman, I feel it's common curtesy for the establishment to provide seat covers. B) the music in the restaurant was so loud that we had to scream across the table. We had a party of 8 & I couldn't hear the people at the other end of the table.

Came to celebrate my birthday with my boyfriend, loved the the ambience as it is super hipster with a modern interior. Service was probably the best service I've ever had in my life! The server was friendly and made good conversation, kept checking up on us, and consistently refilled our waters. They also brought out a complimentary birthday scoop of Sesame Cookies and Cream Ice Cream! For drinks, we ordered the Peppa Fizz and Lonely Hearts Club. We enjoyed them both and would order again. Goat Liver Mousse (5*) - if you love the liver spread in banh mi, this is a whole cup of yumminess! Comes with jam, relish, hot and fluffy crumpets, and biscuit crackers to pair with the condiments as you see fit. Roasted Oysters - (1*) just 2 oysters and 2 small croutons for $17, although the oysters were pretty big, it was covered with too much sauce - not worth and would not order again. Maybe I just prefer raw oysters over cooked.Goat Curry - (4*) came with lots of meat, curry was flavorful and delicious. I do wish it came with rice as an option instead of a bed of chips. Skirt Steak - (2*) - steak was cooked well, though we didn't like that it was covered in peanut sauce as well as the vinegar from the cucumber salad on top. Made for a pretty weird combination and wouldn't order this again. Overall - I'd give service and ambiance 5 stars, drinks 4 stars, and the food 3 stars. Definitely is a cute date night spot with interesting food options.

My wife and I first discovered Girl and the Goat when we left the WeWork location near by. Finally was able to stop by and check it out. It was recommended to order multiple dishes since they were small plates. We didn't order too much but ended up full by the end. Each dish was flavorful and had their own unique take on familiar dishes. Unfortunately, I can't remember the names but we have pictures attached. Service was quick and the atmosphere was perfect for intimate dinners or with a large group. We'll def. be back when in DTLA.

The food "oh my g-d" it did not disappoint . Fabulous. The potato crepe and the omlete delicious
Be the first to ReplyWhen they say they open at 10am, they mean it.
Arrived via limo service. Our driver got here super early. We had reservations at 10. The place was quaint. Lots of plants near the outside seating area. Big windows and the space was very open. Brunch mean was simple but interesting. Our server was Iris (mabuhay kababayan) . Very attentive and all smiles . We started with cappuccino (for the gram). The shrimp friend rice omelette came first. It was warm and the pickled onions were a perfect touch to the dish. Next was the corned beef hash. I didn't quite like the strips of beef (it seems like it absorbed oil) . Next was the brunch potatoes. Now that was great! That we ordered a seconds. I enjoyed the bees knees and the margarita. Overall brunch was a success! Great place! Great service! Good food!
