The restaurant is unassumingly spacious as you walk down the stairs towards the dining area. It's very well decorated and has a great ambiance. It has a full service bar. Service was a bit slow. For a table of 4, we ordered two apps - mussels and octopus to share. Mussels were my personal favorite. Also ordered 3 pastas: rigatoni alla vodka, gnocchi, and orichiette. The rigatoni and gnocchi were delicious! For dessert, the best part was that the tiramisu is made tableside! That was the first time I've seen that done at a restaurant and it adds a nice touch. The tiramisu was really good.

our server had so many tables he often forgot to check up on us. we never got an offer for a refill on the drinks we ordered. the ambiance was really good! but the prices just seemed too high for the quality of food.

Giuseppe's and Sons is one of my FAVORITE restaurants! I absolutely love their food and drinks. It's one of the few places that has Happy Hour Monday through Sunday 4-6. Their Shrimp Scampi and Rigatoni Alla Vodka is to die for! Amazing wine selection! The restaurant is just stunning and the atmosphere is amazing!

This is a very intriguing space, with a throwback pre-war secret society vibe. Descending underground and down a long draped hallway, you're deposited in a large but intimate area with a screaming roaring 20s aesthetic. As the name implies this is a spectacularly authentic Italian restaurant, where any pasta dish will exceed your expectations. For the experience you need to order the pasta tossed in the flaming wheel of Parmesan. I've only ever seen this in 2-3 places, so take advantage of the opportunity. We had both the orecchiette and fettuccine, making evident they cook the pastas to the ideal al dente firmness. The single drawback is the service. We perhaps came at an inopportune time, or had a bad draw of servers. While pleasant and nice, he was annoyingly hard to locate throughout the meal. It was sadly out of keeping with every other aspect of the experience. But since so many things can impact that, it's only a small ding. For fans of Italian food looking for an experience, I'd say this is a can't-miss.

Hostess was reluctant to seat me anywhere other than the bar. I sat at the bar for 5 minutes with no acknowledgement. The 2 bartenders were slammed. I then asked for a table for one. Many were open. After 5 minutes of searching, the hostess finally seated me. After that everything was excellent. Server was very attentive, the food was good, the atmosphere was a very cool, dimly lit, sexy vibe. Will definitely return!

It was Father's Day and surprisingly wasn't that busy. Took 10 minutes to be greeted by waiter and order drinks. We finished first round and were ready to order another but waiter didn't come back. By then we just asked for check. Disappointing visit and we won't be returning.

I usually don't leave a review after visiting a restaurant once but the disappointment with the dinner tonight...I just had to leave a review. We came here for Father's Day dinner. We were so excited to try their table side mozzarella and the fresh made pasta. We came bit early for our reservation but got sat right away. Everyone was very friendly and the service was great. But when it gets to the food...it was overcooked and flavorless. We ordered multiple dishes and I am going to comment on few. -table side mozzarella: awesome presentation, tasteless mozzarella. The best thing from this dish was the tomatoes. - Sunday Gravy: over cooked meatball and sausage that disintegrate in your mouth. Dried up pasta that didn't taste fresh. Over cooked pork that it was super dry. - Chicken Scarpariello: we were confused what type of cuisine this was supposed to be and the chicken...very very very dry chicken - spaghetti with clams: stay away from this dish. It tasted like the weird smell of the staircase of the restaurant Even though all the food lacked flavor, I could not stop drinking the water. I was so dehydrated from the food. I hope today was just an off day but we were very disappointed with the experience today. To top it off, every single stall except one in the women's restroom didn't have toilet paper and only one soap dispenser was filled with soap

My husband visited Giuseppe & Sons for the first time with another couple and we enjoyed our entire experience. We were pleasantly surprised by how cozy and unique the decor is. We sat at the bar and Angelo served us. He was so friendly and attentive. He also gave great recommendations which did not disappoint. We all shared the ricotta to start which was absolutely delicious. I ordered the ricotta tortelloni as my entree because you can never have too much ricotta! I thoroughly enjoyed this dish and everyone else seemed to really like what they ordered as well.

I had a great meal of shrimp fra diavolo with fresh tomatoes, spicy sauce and a quality simple amount of pasta--more heavy on the sauce. The mozzarella with olive oil appetizer is amazing and you should not miss it when you are in the city of Brotherly love--BTW our waitress was outstanding. She was both friendly and helpful as was everyone in what has been one of my best Philadelphia restaurant experiences.

When I told my friends I was coming to philly, they immediately made a reservation for Giuseppe & Sons, and I was so excited to try it. Let me tell you, it did not disappoint. The restaurant is located downstairs in the building, giving it a dark, underground, classic Italian feel. Our server Shelby was bubbly, knowledgeable, and attentive. We had a gluten allergy at the table; she immediately took note of it and took it very seriously while also informing us of gluten free safe options. Our first round of drinks included rose prosecco, which was bubbly yet mild. The bread basket knocked my socks off. The tomato bread was soft and delectable. We ordered the hand pulled mozzarella, which is prepared tableside and served with oil and a salsa verde that reminded me more of a chimichurri. We ordered the 8oz portion and it was enough to share among 4 people! For entrees, we ordered spaghetti carbonara, sunday gravy (spaghetti & meatballs, sausage, short rib), rigatoni alla vodka (GF), and the truffle tagliatelle. The Tagliatelle was prepared tableside, and hand tossed in a warmed Parmesan wheel. It was rich and delicious. All of the portions were the perfect size, we were full but didn't leave feeling overly bloated or uncomfortable (and we cleaned our plates)! We ended dinner with espresso martinis, which may have been one of the best I ever had, full of rich chocolate flavor. If you're in Philadelphia, Giuseppe's is a must!

We were really looking forward to dining here, as we booked our reservation 3 or 4 weeks in advance. Walked down the steps to a beautiful basement restaurant. Gorgeous bar and ambiance. We were told our table was not ready that it would be a little while, no problem we’d order a drink and wait at the bar. Hostess was the perfect combination of snarky and clueless, and before our drinks were served our table was magically ready. The hostess seemed annoyed that she now had to wait for us the get our drinks. She did not offer to bring them to our table so that we could be seated immediately. We were seated in a lovely booth and also appreciated the overall volume of the restaurant was low. We could easily talk without having the to scream across the table. We ordered and had high hopes. One hour and 45 minutes later, we had only received one salad and one appetizer. A nicely dressed woman, we assumed was the restaurant manager, came over and told us on several occasions. That our food was being plated and it would be right out. We asked her if she knew how much longer it would be to which she replied that didn’t have knowledge of how long it takes to cook things at a restaurant!! Wait!! What?? Aren’t you the manager? Our frustration continued as boredom set in, and finally after continuing to wait the same nicely dressed woman (Who doesn’t know how long things take to cook at a restaurant) comes over with two entrées, only one of which we had ordered! She proceeded to tell us that this was all the food that had been ordered for our table. We told her there was five of us and we had all ordered an entrée . She said this is all that was on the “ticket”. So at this point, we waited nearly 2 hours for two entrées to be delivered to our table, only one of them we had actually ordered and we were missing four other meals that she said was never put on our “ticket”. It was at that point that we got up and left. She genuinely seemed clueless about why we were leaving and frustrated. I would give this place a zero if I could based on the staff alone. They are inexperienced and inept, a terrible combination for the overall longevity of any restaurant. This place was a bust!
Amazing Happy Hour
We had the most amazing Happy Hour experience here!. Great prices, fabulous service and really fresh, tasty food! Honestly, we didn't expect to like it so much. We sat at the bar, which isn't our favorite, but it was great! I would definitely go back again. It was hard to pick a favorite appetizer, the calamari was great but so was the shrimp, mussels, and clams! The ceasar salad was very fresh and delicious. We left happy and full!

Wonderful! My parents are visiting and we have wanted to go to Nobu Malibu for years. I tried getting a reservation myself but it was next to impossible. So glad I was able to buy a reservation on appointment trader for a decent price!

I was veeeeeerry skeptical that this would work, particularly at a restaurant as hard to get into as Nobu Malibu, and it was perfect! We had lunch outside on the patio and it was fabulous!

Ok at this point I've attended a reservation purchased on AT by a friend and sold a reservation personally. Both worked pretty smoothly, nothing sketchy about it. A few areas for improvement including a way to more directly communicate between buyers and sellers, but the app always seems to be in development. AT customer support is really(!) responsive and helpful too if you have questions!

It can be under your name or a name you choose! Some reservation offers already include the AppointmentTrader Transfer Service which will transfer the reservation in to your name. If its not included you can add it on after buying the reservation for a small fee. One thing on that though: As many reservations become available at last minute, taking a reservation in someone else name is quick and great for privacy. Most reservations on AT are listed with a virtual phone number, so all you need to do is present the phone number at the hostess stand and you are good to go!

Does anyone know how AT plans to handle cases where a seller is quitting the platform but has a sell through rate <25%? The error message I got said to fill more bids or find other ways to increase the rate.
Is AT really going to block sellers from withdrawing their money? Especially revenue made before the sell through rate was introduced??

Your bid has been “matched” with a reservation. From the time a reservation has been located, the seller of the reservation must connect with moderator to give transfer information for reservation. If the seller;however, does NOT respond to reservation transfer, then your bid is reprocessed and returns to the first step, which is connecting your request to a reservation.

to appointmenttrader! Once the reservation is in your portfolio, you definitely own the timeslot, the review team would not have approved the trade if the reservation wasn't confirmed - so you are going :-) Judging from your post you bid today and are going tomorrow - don't worry as long as you initiated the name transfer, you are good - the transfer service has to work with the opening hours of the reservation team of the respective venue. You will likely see the transfer confirmation a couple hours before your reservation time.

Mostly from people who don't need their reservations or appointments any longer. AT has no relationship with places listed and acts as a platform connecting buyers and sellers making sure that listed reservations are real and that privacy is not compromised when transacting.

Hey @FluffyStar64, thanks for the question! When you place your bid the amount gets transferred in a deposit account, the second you either cancel your bid or a few minutes after the bid expires the funds are moved back into your main account from where you can refund it to your payment method or use for other transactions.
