This restaurant provides the diner with an opportunity to experience Mediterranean cuisine on a much higher level. For people fearful of the new this restaurant should be assigned therapy. Wow! This place is too great to miss. Recommendation-order what you fear. You'll be delighted. The chef takes everything from beets to ice cream to an entirely new level. As to service- it's just so friendly: Freddy's Daniel and Stephanie are the perfect combo of helpful, enthusiastic and poised. As to ambience: The restraint sits inside and out of a large nondescript old brick building. footprint. Once inside you'll be telling yourself how smart you are. The interior is a combination of old grammar school chairs, accent pieces and modern wall and ceiling coverings. Some of you reading this review won't take my advice and order what you fear. So be it. You can still find an assortment of wonderful standard dishes. Everything is taken to the next level. You'll be talking about Glasserie for days. Book early. Reservations are recommended.
Be the first to ReplyHad brunch here with Mazes and a fried chicken sandwich.
The Mazes were great but the fried chicken was a bit undercooked. The ambiance has a unique Brooklyn feel to it.
Be the first to Replythe lamb is EVERYTHING.
you can't leave here without trying the lamb and griddled bread/labne. the hummus and halibut also delicious.
Be the first to ReplyThe food was great, but the service was subpar at best.
Our waitress didn't seem very happy to be serving me and my parents, who were celebrating their birthdays. In fact, she seemed annoyed that their English wasn't perfect. She also made strange assumptions, asking them if they are sharing one meal for dinner, and one drink? For a $250 dinner, plus tip, no one should be rushing us, rolling their eyes, and asking if two people are splitting a single dish when it was clearly stated that they want two. Not a welcoming experience at all. I had a great experience when I previously came about two years ago, but this time was the complete opposite.

Food was delicious, but the post-Covid no menu thing has gone too far. Glasserie doesn't even have a QR code to offer guests, they just tell you to "go to their website" for the menus. For a pricey restaurant that is ridiculous to me. How do restaurants like this not realize that people don't want to be on their phone on a date? But of course, at the end of the meal, they are happy to provide paper dessert menus - when it comes time to upsell you suddenly they can print menus.

This spot is AWESOME!! Probably my favorite in all of greenpoint - it is Mediterranean fusion. The hummus, sweet potato and lamb are absolute musts. These dishes were so unique and had so much depth in their flavors. I was thinking about them for days after leaving the restaurant and can't wait to go back. Also the old fashions with the chunk of ice were 10/10. The vibe is old warehouse with simple but really cool decor and charm. This is a really special spot and highly recommend if looking for amazing restaurant in GP.

Lovely Mediterranean place at the edge of Greenpoint! Came in on a Sunday night with a reservation, but would say walk ins would have worked as well. Ordered the eggplant and pita - pita was well spiced with zaatar and delicious. Crispy yams were my favorite for the night, paired well with a lime aioli. Also got the tilefish fillet, which came with a nutty brown butter sauce that was good. Very filling amount for two people and would definitely recommend!
Be the first to ReplyThe concept here is excellent, but the execution imperfect.
On a Sunday fall afternoon, what could possibly sound more appealing than a "mezze feast" paired with cocktails or a cold brew in a beautifully converted factory at the far end of Greenpoint?Indeed, there were some items that lived up to the narrative, including the environs, which were indeed charming, and the unexpectedly delicious "griddle bread," read: scallion pancake without the scallions. The falafel was also excellent. As for the cold mezzes themselves, I couldn't help but feel a bit underwhelmed - the labne was adorned with some tasty spices, but otherwise joined the hummus and eggplant mash in being rather unmemorable. My shakshuka was nicely textured with the egg, but served with a toast that was hard enough to break a jaw. Service was also "leisurely," so don't come here if you're in a rush.

A lovely and trendy spot in Greenpoint near the water with great service, cute decor and Mediterranean food! We came with a reservation for dinner on a Friday evening and got the fried and stuffed olives, hummus roasted tomato and pita, half chicken, and duck. The food was definitely pricier than what we felt like it should've been - but everything was good, and the hummus and pita was especially amazing! I wouldn't go out of my way to revisit, but we had a really nice time here and I would definitely recommend it if you're in the area and don't mind splurging a little.

Glasserie is my absolute favorite restaurant in Greenpoint! This is my go to spot for special occasions, a casual drink, or a delicious meal for a visiting friend. Their labne with honey and griddle bread is to die for, as is the Mezze feast for lunch! My partner and I have been long time fans because of their impeccable service, menu, and ambiance. Every time we go, we're met with new, fresh, local combinations and we can't get enough.Although on the more expensive side, it's consistency in quality makes it worth coming back to.

Cute spot!! Beautiful interior with amazing food! Food was pricy however. Very vegetarian friendly and food tasted fresh and flavorful!
Be the first to ReplyThis place is almost good.
Portions are small & a bit pricy for what you get. I'm all for that if the food is very good, but it misses the mark. Carrots are served cold. Cauliflower had close to no flavor. The labneh was probably the best part, sadly the portion on that was very disappointing. I'd probably only come back for the pita. I had gone somewhere after because I was still hungry. I did like the decor & atmosphere of the place.

A bit of a trip to get over here, but had a delicious meal with friends. The outdoor space was really nice. The cocktails ($16) were top notch. We shared some apps (labne, eggplant, and yams stood out to me) and then I had the lamb and eggplant, which was super tender. Riley was taking care of us and was extremely friendly and helpful throughout. Great meal!
Be the first to ReplyYou can't miss Glasserie.
It's too good. Authentic, delicious, fresh food paired with excellent, warm, and thorough but not overbearing service, I love coming here whenever possible. Also, get the Pita Bread. And the Yams.
Be the first to ReplyCute casual spot, admittedly in the middle of nowhere.
Apparently you should come with at least a party of four because the mezze feast looked amazing but alas the two of us did not have enough stomachs. We tried:- pita 10/10: excellent and really fluffy and chewy and remarkable. I dont think i can ever eat another pita without thinking of this one. Highly recommend- smoked eggplant 9/10: quite good and creamy but the smokiness is not very strong- falafels 9/10: comes out super hot and fresh and delicious- shakshuka 8/10: also comes out piping hot and stays hot thanks to the ceramic, only wish there was more of it. Not sure i'd be back again for brunch since the menu is quite limited, but maybe would be back with more people to get the feast.

Great for dinner and drinks! Straightforward but nothing basic here, absolutely excellent food. Outdoor seating set up is good, with heating lamps for winter. Reasonably dog friendly - you can bring dogs to outdoor seating only. Staff is very accommodating.

Glasserie was awesome for dinner! This is a great spot for cocktails, as well as the food. I will admit it is a bit far from the subway, though in nicer weather I'm sure it will be great to walk to in the summer. Since we didn't have a reservation we first sat at the bar and ordered different cocktails on the menu. All were quite good and we learned they changed their cocktail menu seasonally. I highly recommend the old fashioned if that's your drink of choice. In terms of food, the small plates are excellent for sharing and you cannot miss out on the cauliflower - with hazelnuts and cous cous it's perfect and unique. The fish and chicken were great for larger plates and all the sauces or sides were well paired. I would return to Glasserie, next time with a reservation
Be the first to ReplyGlad to have found this cute brunch spot during my trip!
Glad to have found this cute brunch spot during my trip! The table next to us ordered the mezze and it looked amazing. If I had brought along more people then I would totally order it. Alas it was just my friend and me, so we ordered shakshoukas. The portions were just right and we left with satisfied bellies. Service was attentive, so along with the good food and cute space, I would come back again!

Intimate setting with an impressive menu! This restaurant is very unique and has some menu options that will leave your taste buds wondering how can something soo simple taste soo good. When I was told this had a Middle Eastern influence I was expecting your generic food items, but I was completely blown away by the uniqueness of this menu and flavors.I would have liked to see more options as the menu is very small. They even ran out of the lamb mixed grill entree on a Saturday night. The prices are a bit up there, and the plates are not that filling (I like to eat a lot especially if it tastes great).Definitely a great date spot with an amazing atmosphere. Make reservations as it will be fully packed. The staff is on point. Parking can be tough.
Be the first to ReplyFunny restaurant.
A Simple Mediterranean food for high prices. Mediterranean food normally comes with bread for free because it is how you eat it. they charge 8$ for each on the top of the plate. 24$ for a simple egg plate, the cost is nothing more than 3$, plus they ask you to pay for the bread. 8 oz OJ for 7$ which wasn't even pressed. Fancy interior, good place to hang with friends. They should revise their product costs probably. Food is simply middle eastern taste. Cook home !

It's refreshing to know that there's a restaurant out there in brooklyn that highlights the mediterranean aspects of turkish/lebanese cuisine. It was a nice fusion of north american elements as well with additions like yams, honeynut squash and maple. I'm Turkish and I approve!!

Food was delicious, servers were gracious and welcoming but it just took way too long to get the food out. We waited over an hour in the cold and the portions were quite small for a lunch. Would have been more bearable if they had outdoor heaters.
Be the first to ReplyOkay food but not your typical Mediterranean, so dont come
Okay food but not your typical Mediterranean, so dont come here assuming calamari or lamb. Its pretty pricy considering the area and the ambiance. The menu changes weekly. So i would check the menu before coming in. Reservation was also weird in that you have to give your credit card info through email and cancelation is $25 per person. Overall i thought food was good, but pricy, portions were small (except for the $38 dollar chicken entree).
Be the first to ReplyGreat for groups, and their outdoor dining is set up fairly
Great for groups, and their outdoor dining is set up fairly well, especially if contrasted with their peers in the area. Even though it rained for a portion of our meal, the outdoor area held up well and it was not a big deal in any way. If it was pouring rain it may be a different story, but for our light to moderate rainfall, the staff did a good job timing drink and food and I dont think anyone or anything got wet in a way that was noticable or diminiahing of the experience.Food consistently between 4-5 stars, may be 1-2 dishes were closer to 3 but given the amount of dishes ordered and how busy they were on a Friday evening along with general hospitality sentiment in NY, the fact the staff cares is a huge plus.My favorites were the labneh, the salad and the heated vegetable dish. Amish chicken was great, too. We had two fish dishes, the mackeral was ok not my speed but fine, and the other fish dish was pretty good.Drinks are creative, and strong. Would definitely come back and also would want to have a small group to share a larger variety of plates.
