Too slow, too cold inside Alpenglobes, food not worth the price
Service was terribly slow, staff was friendly but unresponsive. Alpenglobes are too cold for families in winter, heater in globe is not enough, we had dinner with our winter coats and scarves on. Not worth the price. Food was OK but not special

Glitretind Restaurant features Nordic--inspired cuisine served in a dated but adorable atmosphere. The service was excellent, not too much hoering, no absenteeism. The staff anticipates timing and needs very well. The Sommelier and wine list could take top billing for the evening, eve the cocktails were well-executed. The food was excellent - it did not miss a beat from the tasty cheese appetizer (hint: in Europe, this would be served after a meal, not before) to the entrees and straight through the dessert. The view and setting are AMAZING - come early to snap a few photos before you dine .
Be the first to ReplyHops on the Hill at Stein Erickson was a flop!
We attended Hops on the Hill night at Stein Erickson on Tuesday, July 25th. We were very disappointed with this event. It was disorganized (tables and chairs were not set up). The food selection was limited to Mac & Cheese, undercooked lamb, and some strange mushroom mix. The wines were over-priced. The views were terrible. This event definitely did not live up to Stein’s wonderful reputation.
Be the first to ReplySkiers Buffet
We went for the skiers buffet and it was OUTSTANDING! Reasonably priced for what was included. Great choices for seafood, salads, fruit, and desserts. There was also a pasta bar with several choices of noodles and sauces. We didn't have reservations since it was off peak time. Highly recommend making reservations if you are going to attend during the busy season. One down side: you may not want to continue skiing afterward from being so full.
Be the first to ReplyFraudlently charged my credit card twice dand failed to rectify
Had an okay meal. Restaurant seemed understaffed, so the service was not great. Food was fine, but nothing to write home about. What is really galling is that in addition to be ing charged for the meal, my credit card was charged a substantial amount for no apparent reason. When I phoned in to have this rectified, the manager acknlowedged the error and said it would be taken care of by the accounting department. But then nothing happened. So now I have to go through the whole dispute process with my credit card company. This is the second time in the past year where I have been victim of fraudulent charging by a hospitality company. Last time, I ended up having to cancel my credit card.

German food, huh? I know. But this place is over the top. Incredible at every course. And the wine list reads like a novel. Don't skip dessert. Just order it. You'll be glad you did.
Be the first to ReplyOverpriced and Unfriendly
To begin, they sat us almost in the hallway. When we asked for a different table they replied they were all booked up even though we were one of the first to be seated. They have a strong wine list but the prices were very high even for Utah. Our waiter had zero personality and didn’t seem to care about anything. The food was good although the elk was served very rare when we requested medium rare. A server gathered some of our plates and asked if we wanted it boxed up. Then, when our waiter came to get the last plate and we told him we wanted that boxed up he replied he had to bring the box to the table due to Covid. While he was fetching the box, the other server came and got the plate md boxed it for us. The waiter came back with the empty box and looked perturbed as if we’d done something behind his back. On the way out, not one person said thank you for coming. All this for $170 per person. I’ll never eat dinner there again.
Be the first to ReplyImpeccable service and Sunday brunch
Absolutely you must visit the Sunday brunch buffet, a choice of breakfast foods, meats, cheese and plenty of delicious seafood for your hearts desire. They have a carving station serving prime rib, omelet station. You must also get the fresh banana foster from the cooking station, served hot a fresh with ice cream and crepe. We also dined for continental breakfast the next morning, if you love coffee you just order the cappuccino, it was the best we ever had. Beautiful views and service as always

The Glitretind should be a Michelin rated, 5-star restaurant. Ever bite is amazing. Chef Zane and his team are world-class!
Be the first to ReplyNice dinner!
Had a lovely dinner here Saturday night July 4th weekend. Booked our reservation on Resy and didn't realize we were in an Alpenglobe. While fun and charming, during the summer was not worth the additional $200 for the globe. The way Resy described it I assumed the $200 went toward the dinner price as a minimum. Didn't realize it was in addition to the regular bill.😱 It was fine, I just need to read fine print better. On the plus side our meal was excellent and our server Kara was professional and very attentive. I would return for the excellent food and service, but the $200 for the globe is not worth it. Maybe at $50 I would do it.
Be the first to ReplyPerfect ski lunch spot
We enjoyed a delicious outdoor lunch around one of the fire tables. It was the perfect place to relax and enjoy the views after a morning ski.
Be the first to ReplyAlpenglobe experience
We loved the Alpenglobe dining experience! So private and beautiful views of Deer Valley Ski Mountains. But, it was freezing cold, so cold that we needed blankets for our legs. The heater is not sufficient for frigid weather. They need to improve the temperature somehow. The food was good, but not excellent, the service and views were the best part.

This is a 'never miss'. Take a long lunch...Remove your boots and put on their complimentary slippers. Note: you will wait for a table because it is so delicious and everyone knows this. Skiers Buffet is offered Monday-Saturday.
