Gold Mine Bar & Grill Las Vegas Reviews from The Last Year
A reasonable $$ meal in an overpriced city
The Gold Mine Bar & Grill is a breath of fresh air in a overpriced city. I traveled to Las Vegas on business and had to be in the convention center for 4+ days, where a Johnny Rockets cheeseburger was $23.83 and a 14 oz Perrier water cost $6! I could order breakfast & lunch from the Gold Mine Bar & Grill and carry out fresh, homemade food for a reasonable cost. Service was always pleasant but sometimes overwhelmed due to the amount of business that was in the restaurant. It may not be gourmet but the food consistently good, well made and fresh.
The Restaurant, the Bar, the Employees were top notch.
Then comes some secret shopper, or maybe not even a secret shopper, and just a bored guest affiliate. Came reppin south Detroit corporate, asking to get her merlot shaken...to inspect cherry tomatoes, and the cleanliness of cups and such. Bragged about the riches, buzzed, etc, etc... killed the vibe. Less of that please.
Don't bother.
7-eleven has better food than this place. If you don't have anything in your vacation resort refrigerator, then I recommend going to the grocery store before eating here.

We were nervous about eating here after seeing reviews but we had a great experience. Our first night in town and we just needed some food before bed and were trapped with all the F1 construction. Gold Mine had totally decent foods at decent prices for in-house food in Las Vegas. It's not gourmet cooking but it's totally good food with BIG portions! Wouldn't have any issue recommending this to a family who just got into town or otherwise didn't want to get to the strip to eat.
Waiter embrass me, terrible service
TERRIBLE SERVICE. The waiter (man without hair) was a unfriendly and unpleasend guy. he try to embrass me and blaspheme about my order with another guest. I will inform the manager. Food was good and the price is fair. Good for food, but dont expect any service.
Stay clear of thePhilly cheeseteak.
Flavorless steakums on on crappy bun with a few peppers, didnt see onions. Plus half the size you would expect for the price. Prpbably one of . the worst cheesesteak I've ever head. CITY OF philadelphia should sue them to block them from calling it Philly. Others had cranberry salad and omelettes were good. Unless they are going to completely rehab their sandwich it should be removed from the menu. Or just post a picture and no one in their right mind would order it.
Scattered Service
Stopped by the bar solo for a quick bite the second morning of my week stay. It was busy, but there were tables and several seats at the bar; I picked a barstool. The bartender made eye contact and we smiled. I sat patiently...until nearly fifteen minutes past and I could not wait to have the chance to request my coffee and bagel any longer. Disappointing because I intended to utilize this on-site convenience throughout the day the duration of my stay, instead I made alternate plans.
Really good food, great service.
Prices are fair considering this is Las Vegas. Good selection.

Date of visit: May 3, 2023 Given the relatively early check out for the hotel, this was the perfect place for breakfast on our final day in Vegas, giving us an opportunity to take a little more time packing up and bidding the city farewell. Unfortunately the food is uninspiring and the service a bit uneven. We stood in the doorway for a good three minutes waiting for someone to acknowledge us and then we got to pick a place to sit, which was confusing; if we can seat ourselves, why is there a sign advising us to wait to be seated? We went for breakfast and I had the french toast which looked far better than it tasted as it was nearly devoid of flavor. After having great meals at places like Grand Lux Cafe and Hash Hash, this was a bit of a sad final breakfast. After the initial sluggishness, staff did rally in the second half of the visit and they weren't stingy with the coffee refills either, which I appreciated. Just a bummer that the food wasn't better tasting.
The service is absolutely amazing as usual as our family
The service is absolutely amazing as usual as our family comes down to Vegas a few times a year. We love the Food and the Atmosphere.
Good food and service
Always a good meal and great service! Prices have went up some, but what hasn't? Excellent omelets! Our server was very attentive to our needs.
We expect more from restaurants on Holiday Inn Club
We expect more from restaurants on Holiday Inn Club properties, but at least the prices here are reasonable. This restaurant staff should be better trained at customer service. Although not rude, they don't go out of their way to make you feel welcome. The sign at the door says please wait to be seated, but once we were acknowledged, they said "sit wherever you like " - slightly confusing. The server brought us menus and the left without asking if we wanted coffee as it was breakfast time. Seems like a missed opportunity in efficiency. When she returned she took our food and drink order and then we waited again for our coffee. Omelette and Miners breakfast were good and portion size meets expectations. Not sure if we would have chosen this establishment if it wasn't for the convenience of being on property and we had coupons from our time share presentation
This small restaurant/bar in on the grounds of the Holiday
This small restaurant/bar in on the grounds of the Holiday Inn Desert Club Resort. This is a resort hotel for members and guests in a gated community but I did verify with security that non-guests can enter the property to visit the restaurant. We were on the property as guests for four nights. We dined in the restaurant for a late lunch as well as another evening for drinks and snacks. We carried out breakfast because it was easier to just carry it back to our room while still wearing jammies. Note that their breakfast menu is available till Noon. The portions are more than generous. The Club Sandwich is huge. The Breakfast platters are enough for two people to fill up on. The Nachos. Oh, don't get me started on the Nachos. Just check my photos. Ashley was our bartender/server and she was very nice. There are two or three screens on sports channels at the bar seating. Around 12 tables in the dining area which seemed to get full quickly in the standard breakfast and dinner hours but carryout is not a bad plan. They provide all the condiments, etc that you need!

So far we've dined here three times and the food and service has been great! Comfortable atmosphere and very convenient when you're vacationing on the property. Linguini with Meatballs, Fried Shrimp with cocktail sauce & fries, and the Steak & potatoes so delicious! We're definitely going to dinner again before we check out! Yes, I recommend dining at the Gold Mine Bar & Grill.
