A reasonable $$ meal in an overpriced city
The Gold Mine Bar & Grill is a breath of fresh air in a overpriced city. I traveled to Las Vegas on business and had to be in the convention center for 4+ days, where a Johnny Rockets cheeseburger was $23.83 and a 14 oz Perrier water cost $6! I could order breakfast & lunch from the Gold Mine Bar & Grill and carry out fresh, homemade food for a reasonable cost. Service was always pleasant but sometimes overwhelmed due to the amount of business that was in the restaurant. It may not be gourmet but the food consistently good, well made and fresh.

TERRIBLE SERVICE. The waiter (man without hair) was a unfriendly and unpleasend guy. he try to embrass me and blaspheme about my order with another guest. I will inform the manager. Food was good and the price is fair. Good for food, but dont expect any service.

Stopped by the bar solo for a quick bite the second morning of my week stay. It was busy, but there were tables and several seats at the bar; I picked a barstool. The bartender made eye contact and we smiled. I sat patiently...until nearly fifteen minutes past and I could not wait to have the chance to request my coffee and bagel any longer. Disappointing because I intended to utilize this on-site convenience throughout the day the duration of my stay, instead I made alternate plans.

Always a good meal and great service! Prices have went up some, but what hasn't? Excellent omelets! Our server was very attentive to our needs.

Decent meal at fair prices. Only stopped here for meal right after checking into hotel. For quick food and service would recommend
Be the first to ReplyGood service with greasy food.
The service here was great. Food arrived in good time. My only complaint is that mine was very greasy. My wife had the same problem. Only ate there once during our 3 days there.
Be the first to ReplyA gem that was right here at the resort.
So really didn't want to drive out in the Vegas traffic so decided to try the Gold Mine here at the Desert Resort. I ate breakfast here three mornings. My western omelet s were excellent. Fluffy and tasty. The potatoes with green peppers and onions were a treat. Side of ham was small but excellent. One night I had a burger and fries. Very good choice. And last night I had an order of pretzel bites and a chicken Ceasars salad. Excellent choices. Really good food and so convenient and really excellent service. Great choice.
Be the first to ReplyConvenient if staying at Desert Club timeshares.
The staff are friendly, the food is good and the menu has the basic offerings. There is a small bar available. Having food and drink available on site and near the pool is a nice convenience. Service was good and the staff take pride in their work.
Be the first to ReplyFriendly place, great food, reasonable prices
This restaurant is located on our resort property and we frequent it when we are in Vegas. The staff is super friendly, service and meals are quick, prices are reasonable and the food is always great!

We came in late Monday decided to walk over to grill. Tried to order fajitas, didn’t have at 6pm. We ordered chicken Cesar wrap. Large could be shared they cut in half. Almost through one half and I found a hair. Ooh! The waitress didn’t speak or understand English well. Asked if she could take plate to show manager, I thought I’d eat some more of fries. She took it and my daughter ordered same and she only ate 1/2 my granddaughter only one who enjoyed the kids chicken tender meal. Too many places to eat and go to store to buy food cook inside villa. So much better.

Be the first to ReplyGreat spot for a tasty meal
Will staying @ Holiday Inn Resort and our arrival date we were tired from the flight and walking around the strip and ate here for dinner. Had the pizza and a couple glasses of wine. The pizza was surprisingly good and more than enough for the both of us. Our travel companions had a lunch here and also enjoyed it.

We eat here at least once every time we stay here, and the food and drinks have always been wonderful. The bartenders are friendly and down to earth and always attentive.

We are there for several meals while staying at the resort and everything we tried was really good. The waitresses were all excellent. They took really good care of us.
Be the first to ReplyVery convenient to Holiday Inn Desert Club; Otherwise, just OK
This restaurant has very limited seating and an equally limited menu. Great for a quick meal (mostly breakfast) if you are staying at the Holiday Inn Desert Club as it is right there, and there are no other restaurants within a couple of blocks. Service is reasonably good unless they are full in the morning, in which case you may have to wait a while to be seated due to limited tables. Breakfast is good and not badly priced. Menu is extremely limited for other meals. There is no reason to go to this restaurant if you are not staying at the Holiday Inn and want the convenience, as there are MANY other, better restaurants in Las Vegas.

This place is horrible!! The service is so unprofessional, unpleasant and rude as can be!!! I work hard for my money and when I’m on vacation I expected to have my server to be at least friendly!!! This is twice that I had came in here. And the same server (Mary) has been rude as hell!!! We waited for our table for 15-20 minutes and then after being seated we waited another 15 minutes for a drinks and another 20 minutes for our food!! They were not busy, we were the only people at the door!! Mary finally brings our drinks out and then they are all wrong!! I try to say something and she walks away then comes back( she did hear me) and says if you something you need to speak up!! Then my husband called her out on it and said that we wanted to speak to the Manager.... The Manager refused to come and speak with us!!! So then another waitress brings our food out... All I can say is... STAY AWAY!!! Food good!! Service is terrible!!! If you have to come, get it to GO....

It's a pool bar, so one might not have high expectations about the food. Yet Prospector Joe's Gold Mine Bar & Grill was surprisingly good. It has the pool bar feel for sure, yet the drink selections are plentiful, and the dinner menu was surprisingly more than just cheeseburger and fries (which they do have). The staff were wonderful and attentive, the food was flavorful, and the prices were reasonable. For example, Chicken Quesadillas were $9.50, and cocktails ranged in price from $7-$12.
