Such a fun and scrumptious experience!! I snagged an 845p booking for me and bestie. This is typically the time of night I wind down and get ready for bed but I knew I could do it if I tried ;) plus it's Vegas!!! Can you say... Girl gone mild!! Goes to Vegas and does what she needs to do to stay up for an 845p dinner #ME We arrived right on time, parked out front and proceeded to let the excitement of finally trying the Golden Steer rev up. This place is very clearly an institution in Vegas and I can't believe it's taken all my life to eat here (unless my parents or grandparents brought us here as kids and I just have zero recollection) this was both of our first times. Popped that cherry beginning with my go to Old Fashioned at the bar as we awaited our red leather booth. We shared the tomahawk dinner for two because my bestie isn't much of a lobster fan. We chose the Caesar salad, Mac and cheese and creamed spinach as our sides. The Caesar salad presentation was so much fun! I am obsessed with cooking so any type of cooking demonstration just all together instantaneously makes my self prescribed adhd fly right out the window. I was immediately locked in and hanging on to every last word while filming my little video. You know what they say, you can copy someone's recipe but the sauce won't taste the same. This coming from a woman who is AMAZING with a recipe, but a very firm believer of this statement I have no intention of replicating this to the level of perfection presented to my taste buds upon completion and plating. Hands down BEST Caesar I've ever had in life. Onto the tomahawk and sides! I jokingly told my bestie this is no bistecca in Firenze when our 48ouncer hit the table (10-12 oz bone, that mind you yes I did, have them package up for me to bring home for a good boy in my neighborhood to feast on), this steak was soooo yummy! We ordered it medium and it was accompanied by Sergio's seasoning. A lovely salt and pepper blend that we could bring home. I used it tonight on a a very simple salt and pepper baked chicken recipe that turned out sensational. The creamed spinach was otherworldly. Soooo sooo yummy! The Mac and cheese felt unremarkable in comparison. My Mac and cheese recipe is made with hot green chilis so I'm not accustomed to blander recipes. Dinner was really incredible! As much as I think the both of us really would have loved to order dessert, we were really full and didn't feel comfy trying to stomach an option just to say we did. I was leaning toward the bananas foster but I make a mean flambé at home which I can without a doubt say rivals any other bananas foster so I was ok skipping. Next visit, I'll ensure my dessert stomach is ready and perhaps I'll try the cherries jubilee - a recipe I haven't currently perfected ;) Our service and experience were excellent. I'd highly recommend a visit if you're looking for an old school very classic yummy experience.

We were not disappointed! The food was phenomenal.... Best we have had in Vegas...the atmosphere just as expected...old Vegas. We sat in Joe DiMaggios original booth and were told stories that he had two booths cause he had to get a new one after he and Marilyn divorced. The wait staff were excellent! We had the French onion soup, ribeye and lobster. All to die for! My husband joked about flying in, eating here and leaving immediately. That's how much we enjoyed it!

Old fashioned Diner feel Make ceasar salad in front of you Ordered too much food and spent within our range..easily could get carried away!! Shared 40z Tomahawk and Surf and Turf with Giant Aussy Lobster tail..and King Crab legs Tiramisu was nice finish Service was impeccable

Absolutely fantastic! The service was over the top! We've ordered the tomahawk (5/5), oysters (5/5), double baked potatoes(5/5), asparagus (4/5), and garlic Parmesan Broccoli (4.5/5)! Everything was so good! The double-baked potato was awesome! The crème brûlée was good, it wasn't too plain. The tomahawk steak is so huge, hubby and I shared it. My overall experience here was a 5-star rating and that's GOOD for a steak gal lol. I didn't take PS We got to sit at the same table that Muhammad Ali sat at before
Be the first to ReplyWe booked this steakhouse for our anniversary! The ambiance
We booked this steakhouse for our anniversary! The ambiance is great very old school Las Vegas! The service was great the staff was very attentive. The food is where we were disappointed. We ordered the dinner for two meal which comes with soup or salad, lobster and New York strip steak and two sides. I chose the famous Cesar salad which was very anchovy flavor heavy which I wasn't a fan of so if you like anchovy's this is a good choice! The French onion soup was delicious. The steak The lobster lacked flavor seasoning was very light thank god for the butter and lemon becuz that was the only flavor. The lobster was a little under cooked and the steak was dry even though we ordered medium! Overall not worth the price.

My son was blown away by the Escargot and Lamb Chops!! (He's 15) and the rest of us were so impressed with the longhorn steak and cherries jubilee. Was a wonderful experience.
Be the first to ReplyCool place to visit.
Definitely different and I love that it's off the strip. We were seated in some kind of annex next to a storage spot (?) so there were servers and management coming and going from it all the time. But it was quiet and away from the noisier dining room so I guess that's a benefit. Favorites were the longhorn and lobster along with the chicken parm. The shrimp de jonghe was a bit heavy with a lot of oil and butter. And I did not care for the fried ravioli and glad they were just a side to the chicken parm and not a whole order. Kids loved it. I think husband loved it. We were too full for dessert so want to go back and try the cherries. Wasn't sure between a 3- or 4-star review, but decided to go with 4 stars since the fam loved it so much.
Be the first to ReplyJust got done having dinner there.
Fantastic meal, great service. My only complaint is, don't have dress code and then NOT enforce it. People in jeans, shorts and tshirts.
Be the first to ReplyService was good.
. ambiance was nice. Had the iconic feel of old vegas luxury.. but the food was just mid.
Be the first to ReplyOK, so I really don't get it.
We went to the Golden Steer after reading some of the reviews, but should research them all we had the chicken Parm and the ribeye steak. Let me start off by saying I've had better frozen chicken Parm from Rios at the supermarket then at this restaurant and I will also say that I've had a better steak at a chain restaurant called Texas roadhouse. Got a bad vibe right away. The server seems to be hurried and wasn't very attentive. I asked the stupid question. How is the ribeye and his answer was good good didn't dive any more into the answer and it was a hurried. Good good I've never in my life had gristled ribeye until I've had this one definitely was not an enjoyable steak. Honestly dollar for dollar if you're gonna spend this much money go to Ruth Chris go to Flemings I promise you you will get a better meal with better service. I do realize that restaurants have bad days. They could be under staff somebody could've called in sick so I usually give places a second chance, but at this price point I just can't do it. I know when people read reviews they need to find out for themselves, but I promise you if you're experiences anything like mine you're gonna leave very very very disappointed.

We flew to Las Vegas JUST to have dinner here after we saw the videos of the lobster and king crab on Facebook. We each ordered a lobster tail and the king crab legs and it was ALL over-cooked, it was dry and hard and even the butter tasted flavorless! It was our first time splurging on such a fancy dinner, but since it was for my 62nd birthday, we were excited to do something special. More than $500 later, we left feeling disappointed and threw it in the trash. We should have sent it back, but didn't want to make a scene. We even left $100 tip. To the manager: it would be nice if you made this right.

My family and I were looking forward to eating here and for the experience. However, after spending $850 on a meal for four, I was extremely disappointed. It was my son's birthday and from the very moment we walked in, we were harassed about his attire by three different people there. He was wearing sweatpants (nice Lulu ones), but apparently this was not ok even though other people were wearing shorts, torn ripped jeans, leggings, and some very revealing clothing. My 17 year old son was the threat for some reason and honestly we should have just walked away from that moment. Again, it was his birthday dinner and they made him feel like crap before we even sat down. The meals were not really good either. The calamari seemed to be out of a frozen box, the steaks were fatty and hard to cut through and the lobsters that they advertise so much were chewy. We also spent most of the night taking turns in the bathroom because something wasn't prepared well. If you are thinking about eating here... think again if you want overpriced meal, disrespectful staff, and honestly a horrible atmosphere. Again, my son wearing sweats was a major issue, but they didn't care about the loud drunk women making a scene at their "supposed high end restaurant."

Be the first to ReplyThis place has some old school class.
Food was great. Service was how a great steak's house should be.
Be the first to ReplyCame for bachelor party, didn't enjoy.
I can cook steak better. After all the boomers are gone this place will disappear. What do they offer other than nostalgia to old people?
Be the first to ReplyThe service was good, and so was our steak and seafood
The service was good, and so was our steak and seafood tower. I wasn't crazy about the cocktail menu so I switched to water. We also had the table side Caeser salad which was fun but it didn't taste great. I made a reservation way in advance and the only slot was 9:45. I just don't think it was worth the hype, and the prices are outrageously expensive, much more than any other fine dining joint.
Be the first to ReplyYes, it's worth it.
It took us three months to get a reservation. And it was worth it. We were seated in the John Wayne booth, with a great view in the front room of the Marilyn Monroe booth. Service is of course exquisite here and the music selection is perfect in both tunes and volume. The house bread is boring and not worth taking up any valuable stomach real estate. Push it aside. The tableside Caesar is a great show and the salad is fresh and crisp. Ours had a bit too much lemon for me and although a damn good salad, I didn't like it nearly as much as the one on offer at Carbone. YMMV. For our main course, we wanted to share and that wasn't frowned upon. We did one of the "Ship and Shore" dinners and I'm so glad we did... not only do these come with one salad and a side, but honestly even sharing the plate of the Shorthorn (16-oz NY Strip) and crab legs (3 very large legs, pre-split) we couldn't finish everything. The steak was perfect... so tender and flavorful. The crab legs were amazing and I just love the way they're served... pre-split and all you have to do is pull that perfectly fresh crab out and dip in some butter. We had the twice-baked potato as a side and it was good but I think I may split a baked potato next time. I felt like we couldn't leave without one of the flaming desserts, so Cherries Jubilee natch! Again, the show is awesome and the dessert was unforgettable. Highly recommend! This is a must do, and it's one of the few things that actually does live up to the hype. Just do it - you won't regret it.
Be the first to ReplyFood was amazing! Sevice very good.
It took a long time to get a reservation & had to settle for an 8:30 time, which is later than normal eating time for us.
Be the first to ReplyAmbiance was nice and service was professional and
Ambiance was nice and service was professional and attentive but the 24 oz ribeye was tough, perhaps not aged?--at about $100 your ribeye should be great and succulent, n'est-ce pas? Chicken dish and most sides were decent but how hard is it to make crispy not mushy steak fries? I'm sorry to say the food is not remotely on par with the top steak places in NYC or LA. For these prices there are many choices in Vegas.
Be the first to ReplyWe had to go.
It is an institution. The service was excellent and the ambience was "old school, rat pack" steakhouse. The shrimp cocktail was great. They have atomic horseradish. The wedge salad was also very good. I ordered the $105 12 ounce Australian Lobster Tail. It was about 1-2 minutes over cooked, but beautifully presented and with melted butter...very good. My husband's filet was very tender. We ordered it Rare+ but it was medium rare. That was ok because it was a beautiful piece of beef. The side veg was just fine. We will go back for the prime rib. They are known for that. We loved the old school feel.

Wonderful place, been trying to go for a while now and got lucky with an open reservation. Very minimal wait time, treated us great and respectful. Loved the food, can't wait to go back.
Be the first to ReplyVisited for my significant others birthday dinner.
We went without a reservation and we're surprisingly seated very quickly! For our appetizers, we ordered the French onion soup, and it ranks among the best ones that I've had. The Caesar salad was unfortunately pretty basic, and had too much dressing for my taste. The oysters were amazing and the perfect medium size. For the main course we got the tomahawk steak and it was well-seasoned and cooked perfectly for medium rare. The other couple we were with, their tomahawk was more on the medium side, so make sure to be specific when you order as it's a pricey meal. For sides, the whipped potatoes and the sautéed mushrooms were the favorites. We also had the macaroni and cheese and twice baked potato.Honorable mentions:Their bread is freshly made and to die for. I could've taken down 3 baskets of it on my own.The Escargots de Bourgogne were actually very well done. I'd never tried and have nothing to compare them to, but for a first timer, it was tasty! Our server was wonderful, she made recommendations and was very knowledgeable about the menu and assisted with some wine as well. Everyone we interacted with was super nice.I wouldn't order as much as I did this time because it was a ton of food for 4, and we all had an entirely new meal for leftovers. Leftovers were still 10/10!3/5 because for the price, I would've expected each part of the meal to blow me away, but the Caesar salad wasn't great, and the sides weren't anything to really brag about, they lacked a bit more of the flavor that I think was expected.
Be the first to ReplyOld old old school vegas, worth it if only for the ambience.
Of all things, the meatball appetizer stood out! Twice baked is go to side...
