Stopped by Sunday evening.
Place was pretty empty as it was the weekend but drinks and food were great. Had the crispy duck salad - it was really good. Servers were really nice too.

Bread Street Kitchen, Gordon Ramsay's spot in London, is a top-notch dining experience. The place has a cool vibe with its modern style and open kitchen. The service was friendly, and our server knew the menu inside out.
Be the first to ReplyFirst off, our server was so nice and funny.
He was great. The food, was abysmal. For years we have loved watching any shows with Gordon Ramsay and was so excited to try his restaurant while on vacation from the states. My husband has always wanted to try his beef Wellington. It was honestly one of the worst meals we have ever had. The beef still had a ton of sinew and cartilage. It was supposed to be medium rare but truly don't even know how it was cooked. The mushroom ring around it was burnt to absolute he** and back. It was totally inedible. We had 4 people and we all wanted to try it so we got two orders. We also got an app and a side of Mac and cheese. None of us had alcohol but instead all had 1 soda. The only good dish was the sticky toffee pudding. The bill was shocking at around 365 pounds for the worst meal of our lives. Skip this place. It was also quite dead inside, first red flag. I think Gordon needs to visit his own restaurant and really have a proper meal there. Horrifying.

5 stars for sticky pudding 5 stars for butter chicken & lamb korma 4 stars for steak 2 stars for service 2 stars for being overpriced for including sides, bread & water. Prefer Ramsay's restaurants we've been to in Las Vegas!

Service took forever. Waiters will look your way and ignore you despite restaurant being empty. The ambiance was decent but unfortunately that's the only good thing about this restaurant. For a restaurant, especially for one with Gordon Ramsay's name on it, it was a horrible experience. I could have gotten a better meal at McDonald's for a tenth of the price

I was called to ask if I could move my 7:30pm reservation to 5pm and told them to hold it and I would confirm. It wasn't going to work so I called to cancel and they indicated they were keeping the full $300+ deposit and wouldn't make an exception. Horrendous service.
Be the first to ReplyVery disappointing.
Sat down at 7 and dinner arrived at 8:50. Yes I ordered apps that were good but regardless dinner took forever. My ribeye was supposed to be Medium rare. Was cooked medium. They fixed quickly with a new steak. I give them that but it tasted like a ribeye from chili's. My wife's COD was tasty. I think slapping Gordon's name on this restaurant raised the expectations and unfortunately they weren't meet.
Be the first to Replyshut it down! Gordon is off the rails with this place.
Each dish tasted like it could have been a frozen meal.. The only thing we enjoyed was the bread, which of course you had to pay extra for. Don't waste your time or money. At least we got comped for the one dish we really complained about and didn't finish or take home.

Being from the States, it was the first time I experienced the unlimited Spritz and Mimosas for brunch. Their selections were great. The food was very good, but they overcooked my beef wellington. Instead of returning it and waiting for a new one (which would take another 45mins), I decided to just eat it but I did let them know how disappointed I was. Despite all of that, I still found the dish tasty, just not to my liking. Overall, I would still recommend the place. It is a bit pricey, but not ridiculously expensive.
Be the first to ReplyCame here for breakfast and it was packed.
Lots of people in dress shirts doing the power lunch thing. The actual menu is unsurprising and uninspiring. Standard breakfast fare. There were two standouts, however. The first is that the staff could not have been nicer. Klaudette and Signe were so courteous and professional, and were super understanding about seating me before the whole party arrived, and letting me go a bit unreasonable with my order, which was an orange juice...and something off the dinner menu. They had to check with Chef Vanina, who came out of the kitchen to confirm the order. The beef wellington was cooked perfectly. Crispy, juicy, tender, flavorful. And the two little cups of jus that it came with were delicious. The side of mashed potatoes were a bit much (gotta draw the line somewhere buddy) but I left so happy not just because they prepared a great meal for me, but because the staff had the open mindedness to let this jetlagged American order the house special at an odd hour. I cannot wait for an excuse to get back.

I had high expectations on this restaurant because of Gordon Ramsay. However, the overall dining experience is a bit disappointing, especially food. I like Ramsay's G&T cocktail and cod fish most (5 stars). The most famous beef Wellington is overrated. The truffle mash and steak are not well balanced. Chef Ramsay should consider use less truffle mash and lighter sauce such as Worcestershire (or Demi-glacé) to wrap the steak. Otherwise pastry and truffle definitely overwhelm the entire steak. After completing a piece, my mouth was full of taste of black truffle, not beef. I even could not eat second piece. Unfortunately food is not impressive. Appetizers are all delish, but for a celebrity chef like Gordon Ramsay, it is actually failing if main star dish falls behind. The service is ok. Since background music is loud, waitresses missed our calling a few times. I needed to look at the manager to request something. Sorry Gordon, your beef Wellington is missing my vote!

Had the best English Breakfast I've ever had here today! I mean those scrambled eggs were off the chart...I'll never be able to eat scrambled eggs anywhere else. The service was superb as well...especially our friendly server Carmen- who gave us some great local travel advice. I highly recommend Bread Street Kitchen!

We came here as American tourists who watched many episode of Master Chef. For someone who's so critical of others, Gordon Ramsey needs to take a good look at his own restaurant- just disappointing. Food was underwhelming; felt like Cheesecake Factory in the US. The waiter and manager got our order and check wrong. Ambience was good. We did appreciate the kids eat free service. In case anyone was confused, they don't serve pizza here (that's downstairs and not the kitchen).

If Gordon Ramsey came and have a blind taste test, his often creative and colorful language would have filled up the room. Most popular items of the the menu is beef, and the waiter was pushing us to get one of their dry age porterhouse, I was intrigued. I personally walked to the refrigerator and picked out a well marbled piece of meat and waited patiently for the masterpiece to arrive. We were surprised when the "Masterpiece" came it was smoke infused, burned on the surface with fair amount of charcoal. And this 1.16KG worth closes to 130 pounds is solid pink on the inside. Is it how Gordon Ramsey eats and cook his medium rare steak? I had beef jerky before was more tender than this.We also ordered fish, a special of the day, that tasteless fish truly complimented the tasteless meat ball with pasta we had also ordered. There was one dish we all agreed it was above average, which was the Beef Wellington, the only enjoyment of the night. The total damage for the evening was around 460 pounds, complete disaster, good job Gordon. I now know why you are angry all of the time. For us, we paid 460 pound and ate an old tennis shoe.
Be the first to ReplyDon't get me wrong, the food was good.
It was simply not as amazing as I thought it would be. The service was great, and the restaurant looks really nice. (maybe the music was a bit too loud) I would say it's a decent place to dine in, just that there are bits that could have been better. Good part:- really good food (although the Wellington beef was a bit cold)- decent and friendly staff who gave nice services - beautiful restaurants : good for hanging out with friends and family but not really for couples I think (not that romantic)The could have been better part:- Wellington beef could have been served at a warmer temperature - the music was a bit too loud... But yea it was okay, can give it a go!

My daughter and I went for a quick bite to eat one day in London... we like how it was a Gordon Ramsey Resto and wanted to check it out!It was around noon on a Friday morning. Even though there was only 1 or 2 parties there, it took a while to get seated. Hostess status at a window table, nice to you. My daughter ordered the extended date and asked for very over easy eggs. Unfortunately came very well done. I had the avocado toast which was actually very nice. I ordered Rose. The surprise at the end was when she came to give us the check, she took off my daughter's EB even though we didn't say anything or give any impression at all about the mixup. I was so pleased about the service over anything, and I appreciate her fixing it. This is what customer service in the industry is about and unfortunately lacking. Thank you sweet server! When in London again, we will be back!

Place is not easy to find because it is upstairs from the pizza place. Food was mediocre at best. Had the sirloin which was not what I hoped for. They did not have a filet, which is cut of meat I wanted. Mashed potatoes were good, but over salted. My daughter had the burger, she said it was good. The saving grace for me was the prawn cocktail I had for appetizer. There is nothing complementary here. Paid £4.50 for bread which was ok. Gotta say I was a bit diss appointed and expected more. Service was good and friendly.

I was really disappointed given this restaurant is under the name of Gordon Ramsay. We went for £16 bottomless pizza for lunch and barely ate anything because the pizza was EXTREMELY SALTY!! I wouldn't say it's flavorful or anything - just like tasting plain SALT on the dough. Not sure if we're just unlucky that the chef somehow spilled a jar of salt right onto our slices but both me and my friend could barely get a second slice of each. (Anyway we did our best to try everything to make up what we paid). The service was average. Our servers were friendly and I was good with that. However, the food was the worst pizza I've had in my life. Extremely disappointing!! This left me no believe in the famous Gordon Ramsay anymore. Totally a waste of money and time. I definitely will NOT be back.
Be the first to ReplySometimes, after an excellent experience, the return visit
Sometimes, after an excellent experience, the return visit doesn't have the same magic. I can wholeheartedly say, that our return visit to Bread Street Kitchen was even better than our first experience, which says a lot. Our server Dave was not only helpful, but entertaining, the atmosphere was a perfect mix of industrial, modern, and classic high end restaurant, and most importantly, the food was just sublime. Not sure I'll ever stop in London without getting a meal here.
Be the first to ReplyExcellent food and service.
We dined as a party of 9 and our servers were great. Food was delivered in a timely fashion and tasted amazing! I'll be back when visiting London.
Be the first to ReplyVery disappointed with a Gordon Ramsey restaurant.
My chicken was over cooked and under seasoned and our daughters steak was over charred and also under seasoned. Service was slow which was surprising as they were not near full. All I kind think of is Gordon asking "did you taste this" as his cooks certainly did not. Very disappointed in our dining experience.
Be the first to ReplyWe were shocked by the terrible service at this Gordon
We were shocked by the terrible service at this Gordon Ramsey restaurant. We stopped in for lunch (had online reservations) and had to flag down someone to get any service once seated. We had to ask for menus, waited over 30 minutes for drinks for two, finally got our appetizer soups and they were cold and bitter. When we finally got someone's attention they just took them away and didn't offer to get us hot soup or take them off the bill. Our food was ok but there were very limited vegetarian options. No one asked if we'd like more drinks (alcohol) when our drinks sat empty for over 30 minutes. We finally just asked for the bill and left dissatisfied and hungry. We excepted more from a Ramsey restaurant having visited many throughout the world.
Be the first to ReplyGreat atmosphere, impeccable service.
However, one of my favorite meals is eggs Benedict. I couldn't wait to slice into my beautiful poached egg...when it arrived it was over cooked. One of the yokes didn't even run. That probably sounds petty but I was disappointed. My expectations were higher. My whole family enjoyed the experience though and I'm sure we'd happily return for a second visit.
