Hidden gem with Italian wine, cured meats and cheese
Small Italian gem in Greenwich Village with great wine, cheese and cured meats. Everything was delicious. Brunch menu also looked amazing.

you won’t find a more reliable and inviting wine bar than this gem. thank god it survived the pandemic. still offers a fantastic italian wine selection, house-made snacks, the best perfectly sliced 2-yr prosciutto (that will ruin all ham for you forever)….and the most incredible staff and owner you’ll ever meet. finally, from the looks of it, it’s the #1 first-date place of the WV. everyone leaves happy. take note.

Went to drink wine, it's a very nice place, small but with a great service. You can sit in the bar or in the back yard, great atmosphere.

We were looking for a place to have a drink before hitting Comedy Cellar and we just walked into Gottino: what a great surprise!
From the vibe to the food, wine and service, everything met our expectations!
Outdoor garden is the place to sit
But not next to (less than a foot away!) the air conditioning compressor, please! My wife and I were taken to the worst table, standard for hosts/hostesses, so I picked up our water and glasses and headed for a table for two across the patio. The interesting menu brought us here -- as did the noise from the other restaurants along Greenwich. My wife loved her glass of Sangiovese Rosato ($14), and I appreciated my Pecorino Terre ($11). The platter of three cheeses ($18) was wonderful -- each decent portion coming with more than a dab of sweet: preserves or honey. I think you couldn't go wrong with any of the selections. The bread that came with the table, drizzled with olive oil, was tasteless, and the evening's only stumble. The artichoke crostini ($9) was very good. Service was great. We'll be back.

We were looking for somewhere to have a drink outside last weekend. A bartender at another restaurant suggested Gottino. We would have probably walked right past the restaurant and were pleasantly surprised by the hidden wine garden in the back. We had drinks and an order of the nutella toast. It was all really good. I would love to come back here if we lived closer!

Nice selection of wines by the glass and yummy small plates make this a perfect spot for a date or meeting with friends. It is small but the three times I have been there, there have been spots by the bar. Service is great and non intrusive. Love this spot!

The food was not good. I love octopus. The polipo melanzana (octopus) was downright nasty and should have been discarded. They charged $48 for a $9.99 bottle of Sauvignon blanc. Shameful.

Stopped in for a bottle of wine and sat on the back patio chatting with a friend. The waitress really hit the nail on the head with her recommendations of wines. Great pairing with the appetizers we had.

A friendly neighborhood wine bar with a good, fairly extensive, REASONABLY priced list of wines by the glass. and a delightful list of charcuterie, crostini and other noshes. A small outdoor patio area is a wonderful retreat from the city hustle. Been there since 2007 so tells you something.
