why all restaurant groups should close down
I went there on June 1st, reopening or many restaurants in Tokyo. The place can seat, 120 to 150 but my wife and I went there at 16h00, a quiet time.
I ordered 15 oysters and a bottle of Taittinger. Note, that, in the entire place, for the 90 minutes we spent there, it was only my wife and one other couple present.
When the waiter opened the bottle, about 1 glass spilled out. No apology, no offer to change the bottle or make up for the lost champagne.
Now, when someone comes in, on a Monday at 16h00, orders this, and as a restaurant manager, you do not intervene, not offer a coffee for example or an apology, you can not be saved.
In this case, WDI group, is in the wrong business. They will never see us again at any of their restaurants.
The Oysters by the way, while fresh were opened by a job student, or , someone who does not care. Not possible that person was to busy. Nearly all of the oysters had parts of the shell on the oyster flesh. Not a big deal, just another case of " we don't care ", at a time, when caring for customers should be paramount.
Apparently at WDI , as a customer you are supposed to pay and shut up.
