Granger and Co. is awesome
We had Faton as our waiter and he was so funny and attentive. Great great food and atmosphere. 10/10 would come again!! Get the sour bread toast and ricatta hotcakes.
😍
Wonderful staff, great atmosphere
My friend and I called in without a reservation on a very busy lunchtime service. We sat at the bar for a while and then they kindly found us a table. Every single member of staff treated us amazingly well. With efficiency, friendliness and good humour. They made our visit. We'd go back just for that! The room is lively and well lit and the food was good - our schnitzels were two large pieces which came with a good amount of greenery. A lucky stop for us.

Shambolic, crowded place full of rude people

Been a long loyal customer but today they put an end to my loyalty. Food is nothing to write home about and very expensive for what it is. Staff don’t enjoy to work here. Poor attitude. Service terrible and unprofessional, particularly when charged an extra 12.5%... Service, what service? - 1 hour waiting to get it. many tables available inside. - 25 minutes just to place the order. 1 hour to get it - no smile or hello. uncomfortable in and out feel - very loud and cramped - coffee not good - filthy toilets. no paper. no soap - had to continuously chase them to order additional or forgotten items - staff were on the phone or laughing at customers by service station. management missing in action - hotcakes came with no maple syrup had to ask twice and then had to eat them cold - the most arrogant and rudest staff out there - another 20 minutes waiting around to pay - no goodbyes or thank you So bad it’s embarrassing. It used to be so good and welcoming. That ship is now clearly sinking.
🙂
This place was so good.
Great vibes. It's Australian, but Asian inspired for sure. A lot of the dishes they had on the menu were very Asian. I think the cuisine is labeled wrong on Yelp since it says it's modern British cuisine. The service was good. Very clean. The restroom is downstairs which can be confusing to find. What we got:Courgette chips 6/10Korean fried chicken- it was in yangyum sauce 7/10Lemongrass chicken salad 10/10Grilled chicken salad 8/10Fresh green juice 10/10If I ever stay in the area, I'll definitely be back. The quality of the food was really good. It gets very lively here and there's usually a wait to get a table.
😍
Lovely visit, great service and great food!
Absolutely delicious food. Great service and very glad they have proper ANZAC cookies and Lemingtons. We were served by Faton who was wonderful super accommodating and very kind. Roughly £30 per head for food drinks and some takeaway snacks so pretty reasonable price. Will be coming again and I am not a brunch person.

Sorry but the hype is not followed through.

This cafe is so popular and because of that customer service is no longer a priority. You can tell since they don't respond to any of these reviews. Sadly what was once an awesome establishment has changed hands and it’s now just awful. My pancakes looked great but were undercooked. The bacon was fatty, burnt and tasteless. The coffee was diluted and too strong! Staff also wasn't good, looks like everybody was just hired from the street. They can not handle the fast-paced restaurant environment and treat customers as garbage. Many looked like they’d rather be in the center of an active volcanic crater than serving you. Absolute circus. If you want to wait an hour and a half for horrible service and a bad attitude from literally every employee than this is the perfect place for you. Hard pass.
🤮
Slow decline into mediocrity.
Expensive, inattentive service, mediocre food. Used to be so good and welcoming but standards have really slipped over the last few months. Shame. Bacon burnt from dirty grill and so salty inedible. The service is completely chaotic and unfriendly. Pretty rude team you’ve got here. From top manager to barista. There's curt and then there's plain rude. Snooty and inefficient. Astonishing that people still go to this place despite the prices, ridiculous waiting list and poor customer service. It wouldn’t survive much longer if located anywhere else. Miserable vibe and sour faces, relying heavily on a touristy crowd. The owner should be seriously concerned.
🤢
Not impressed for second time in a row.
Definitely not a patch on the great cafe/restaurant that it was. Last time food was cold but nice staff, this time one meal was good, other meal not great… pancakes served with a bruised/brown banana and rude staff. I think Bill would be disappointed to learn what’s happening to his business.
🤮
Horrible customer service
This place is overrated. Work more on your customer service and training your staff and less on your Instagram marketing. Here's why. First, quality of food has dropped to 2 stars and is now very overpriced and average. Secondly, the customer and table service was also pretty terrible. Customer satisfaction is clearly not a priority here. Plenty of staff, all inept and stressed. Lots of empty tables around but can’t cope with demand? Expecting to be a first come first served system, priority seems to be given randomly according to the staff preference. After queuing with my partner for over an hour and a half on Sunday, we finally manage to get a seat and soon realise that due to high demand we would have to wait just as long to get noticed, order and to finally get our food. Very disorganised place. The waitress was not nice, forgot our drinks and gave us the wrong bill. Really disappointing. Shame, we’ll never come back here although we're locals.

The food was really good. We ordered the rostis, gravalax and poached eggs - it was delicious. Coffee was also really good. Service could be a little better (we were waiting quite a while to make the order and for the bill) but apart from that I fully recommenr this place for brunch!

A friend and I were visiting London for a quick trip, and in our search for the best brunch spot in town, we found Granger & Co. It absolutely lived up to the hype.On a Thursday morning, we found the place quite packed, but opted to sit outside where we were waited on very well despite the rush indoors. Our drinks--fresh OJ and a chai latte--arrived quickly followed by our main dishes. We got the corn fritters, which were packed with flavor and fresh ingredients, the whole corn kernels bursting in our mouths. But the real show stopper was the hotcakes. Thick, pillowy, and not too sweet, the hotcakes are absolutely divine.I am still thinking about those hotcakes 2 months after our trip and mourn that I can't return any time I want. For all those locals who can, please go and savor Granger & Co for me, your out-of-towner Yelp friend.

I was taking a stroll to Hyde Park on a beautiful fall
I was taking a stroll to Hyde Park on a beautiful fall afternoon in London when I came upon Granger & Co, a very inviting dining space in Notting Hill. We only had to wait about 10 minutes for a table on a weekday afternoon lunch hour. The space is trendy, bright, airy and comfortable. Our server was a very endearing Australian young man who took great care of us in all regards. We all toasted our last day of vacay in London with expertly crafted espresso martinis. There is a very eclectic menu with many different choices; in the end, though, we chose from the "Bill's Classics" section. I got the Sweetcorn Fritters, Roast Tomato, Spinach & Bacon with an avocado upgrade. Everything was fresh and wonderfully delicious, and I simply have never encountered a fritter quite this unique in it's taste. We also had the scrambled eggs and sourdough toast. Sounds simple enough, right? But these eggs were fantastic, they're like whipped, they have a wonderful mouth texture, and the toast was very fresh and hearty. Lastly, we enjoyed the Ricotta Hotcakes, Banana and honeycomb butter. Another unique combination, and a rich, decadent variation on hotcakes that I'd never had before. All in all, a wonderful dining experience, even to include the immaculate restroom facilities. Granger & Co is "highly recommended" for the value, quality and quantity of it's cuisine.
😍
Staff so friendly, great menu selection and decently priced
Staff so friendly, great menu selection and decently priced - service was quick, attentive and efficient. The food and avo/vanilla smoothie was delicious, would love to ce back but make sure you go earlier so you can get a table! I think the people of London are realising they have a brunch gem!
🤢
Overpriced, over cooked and never again.
Been here twice before and loved it. This time was completely different . Staff were unwelcoming. Table we were given had several coffee cup stains and dirty marks on the top. White wine was nice but carafe of water had pieces of dirt in it so couldn’t drink. Chicken Schnitzel was burnt and dry. Despite this we were going to give a small tip but when we asked how to do this she replied, in a very rude manner, that we don’t do tips we’ve already added a service charge. I’ve worked in many pubs, restaurants and hotels and would never talk to customers the way the server spoke to us.
🙂
Went back twice during our trip to London.
Scrambled eggs were worth the wait! Family liked variety of choices and our vegetarian was happy too!
Busy and neat place in a quiet area. Still a bit of a hype (30 minute wait), but it's not that special. Tasty breakfast, though. Rather noisy at times.

I haven't had anything bad here yet! Aussie breakfast is
I haven't had anything bad here yet! Aussie breakfast is the way to go in London of course but Granger also does quite possibly the best burger in the city.
I can’t even begin to explain how frustrating this visit was. My friend and I went in at 3:43 when the lunch rush was over and the dinner rush hadn’t begun. Lots of free tables. The server was friendly at first and took our orders quickly. We got our drinks within 10 minutes then just waited. And waited. We watched as people got served their food around us. Tables that clearly ordered later than us. It wasn’t until we stared down our server did he come ask us if we got everything. We had gotten NOTHING. We must’ve waited close to an hour for our food. Devoured it. Not once did they check if our food was okay. If we wanted more drinks. More water. We watched as other tables leave as they were sick of waiting for their food. We asked for the bill. And the hostess (who was really the only lovely person) asked us if everything was okay… seeing that the plates had not yet been cleared from our table. We really quite nicely told her how long we waited and asked for the optional service charge to be taken off the bill. We then waited another 15 minutes. I got the attention of the server who again brought the bill with the service charge on it. I told her we already told the hostess we would not pay the service charge. She then proceeded to roll her eyes, crumple the receipt and complain to her colleague as if I couldn’t hear or see. Another five minutes. Flagged down the hostess and told her we hadn’t gotten bill. And she apologised saying the manager was coming to speak to us. He was not apologetic at all. Snarkily remarked that if we wanted more drinks we should’ve asked and they don’t provide “free refills”- we were not expecting free refills, but at least an offer. I’ve worked in restaurants. Even in pubs the order of service requires a check back. Throughout this our server refused to make eye contact with us. A quick meal ended up taking close to 2 hours in a nearly empty restaurant. I realise this place was a fancy place to be seen and there’s always a queue. But honestly, absolutely not worth the hype. I think the only reason they have a queue is the remarkably slow service.
We were around Notting Hill area and decided to try on Sunday breakfast with a big family. It was a bit busy and we had to wait but the friendly blonde manager/host accommodated us after 15min and we were very happy. The food and staff were superb, hotcake delicious and service excellent even for such a busy place. Loved the Atmosphere and our last day of holidays was definitely memorable. Thanks guys we will be back next time
🙂
I really like this place but the manager Ray needs to be a little more courteous
The food is excellent. The burger my wife and I had was fantastic. The ambience too is great. Seeing the reviews online it appears there are service problems, we felt them too, but we also chalk this up to covid. It's just nice to get out again and be in the world, so not going to complain too much as I think it's not easy on the staff at restaurants.
🤢
Extremely rude and arrogant manager. Not rushing back !
Breakfast is very good, however the female manager (the blonde one !) in charge is extremely rude (almost racist?) and quite unprofessional. Havent ever been to a restaurant with a manager with similar pretentious attitude, who does not know the basics of dealing with customers in a polite and respectful manner. Appearing uninterested, felt unwelcome (eat your stuff and get out fast attitude). The service was beyond disappointing and disorganised. Stressed waiter fighting (with that manager) right behind us. Embarrassing. Despite seeing plenty of waiters and managers running around, we were forgotten most of the time. They only gave us the food menu and left. We had to ask many times for drinks, and we didnt take any chances after this and ordered all at once. Dont bother going unless you like waiting and being disrespected. Been here three times already, all three times the same crazy circus ! Enough. Get the right people or close shop now !
😍
Great staff and management
We came for a Saturday lunch with family and had a wonderful time. The food was just simply delicious and hotcake breathtaking. Staff was very smiley and friendly and the venue is just spot on. The blonde manager Roxy was helpful and made our visit memorable. She recommended her favorites and even had a chat about our holidays making us smile and feel important! Loved our time at granger and definitely be back very soon thank you

Excellent food, creative choices, healthy options for
Excellent food, creative choices, healthy options for breakfast lunch or dinner. We went there for dinner. My husband chose a spicy chicken burger which was very spicy and I chose 2 hardy appetizers ..... broccolini with peanut sauce and sourdough toast with crab which were flavorful. For dessert I chose a caffe mocha with homemade almond milk and chocolate sauce. The cocktails looked absolutely with botanicals. My only negative is that it is very noisy ....makes it hard to have conversations. Other than that, the food is delicious!
Love this restaurant !
Been coming for years now. Every time I do the food and drinks are always amazing.
Felt at home.
Portion sizes just right.
Had wonderful service to match.
Super friendly and attentive.
Only downside was that the front door being constantly open the wind and cold came in - and at times it was uncomfortably chilly and noisy.
Otherwise a very good breakfast.

Lovely weekend brunch with the whole family!
We were here to celebrate my daughter’s birthday and the staff were very welcoming and friendly. Busy and buzzy place. Made arrangements to change our seating to a larger table of 12 people when we asked on short notice with no fuss. Best meal we’ve had during our trip! Innovative and fresh. Lots of small plates for sharing makes it fun and an opportunity to taste a range of delicious brunch dishes.
The avocado toasts and eggs were a particular highlight. We were really happy with our visit. Special thanks to Sonia who is an absolute rockstar, so professional and a master of anticipating what guests might need. Made every effort to ensure we had the best time and were all looked after. Not a single moment did we feel rushed to order, to return our table or leave with a queue waiting just outside the restaurant. Danke schön!
🤢
Fantastic pancakes. Nice location. Laughably bad service.
Great concept with tasty food and buzzing ambience let down by brain dead staff who are slow, despondent and lazy (on 1 occasion on an evening when it wasn’t even busy!). It’s like they’re TRYING to be utterly incompetent and rude at the same time. Never been to a place that has so many staff, and has the most disorganised service experience. It’s like the London bus.... 4 people will come, one after the other, asking for your order. But it will be forgotten twice. You’ll then not see someone for an hour. So bad it’s actually humorous.
This was happening to literally every table around us. It became clear that you had to be the one to call a waitress over to you, for a menu, to order, to get condiments, the empty plates taken away, another drink, the bill etc. A woman at the table next to us had to actually get up and go to the bar to complain several times, including when she was waiting so long on her food and also hadn't received her coffees. The staff were just strolling around or chatting among themselves. Head in the clouds. We actually had to laugh at how unbelievable it was. Change the pompous Greek manager, train your staff and up your game and I'll give you 5 stars.
The food was very late for one of the tables next to us. As the manager told them he's trying to get it sorted, he started saying in very loud voice to them "you're looking at me like I've done something terrible! I told you I'm working on it, what more can I do?!". Very embarrassing and unprofessional. Then he came back to them saying "your bill is on us because THEY screwed up the order". Nice gesture but terrible to blame your staff for the issue, take some ownership and apologise! The staff seemed quite disengaged and I understand why. This ridiculously bad manager is completely the wrong choice for such a busy spot, in an upscale area. Low staff morale and poor training which is evident to the customers as lack of welcome or even concern. The waiter assigned to us early this morning was also pretty rude sadly. We understand you are very stressed but sort out your unresolved anger issues on your own time. Pleasant food and fair prices though for the area. I'll visit again in a couple of weeks but if service doesn’t improve quickly, it'll be the last time for us I'm afraid.
🤢
Second time with poor service and never again
I've been to Granger & Co about 5 times now. Each time the food is so tasty and fresh however, the past two times I've been the service has been non-existent.
I don't like leaving bad reviews but for a restaurant that is considered quite nice I can't believe how poorly the staff behave.
When we arrived, we put our names down on the waitlist to get a table. Wait time was 1.45hrs by the time it got to 2.15hrs we had to go back to the restaurant to ask where our table was. The guy on the booking system just frowned and said, "I don't know why you didn't get a text"
Then, after being seated we realised our table was incredibly unstable as one of the rubber feet was missing underneath. A waitress came over and spun it around and warned us not to lean on the unstable side. Not even offering to put a wedge underneath.
We sat for a while waiting to be served and had to call over a waiter to take a drinks and starters order. He was rude, didn't introduce himself and barely looked us in the eye.
When starters were served, we had no plates or cutlery and had to request them.
Then, another random waitress took away our plates before we were even finished eating and we had to call someone to take our order for the mains.
No new cutlery for mains.
The only saving grace of this experience was one of the managers who we called over to serve us a couple of times. He was lovely and knowledgeable and even opened a bottle of wine to sell us by the glass when it's normally sold by the bottle.
My experience previous to this was in the King's Cross site and it was probably worse. Until they start to properly train their staff or hire better workers, I won't be returning unfortunately which is a shame as the food is great.
I’m not sure what went wrong with the last few reviews but a 10/10 from me. Fantastic breakfast, staff, coffee and ambiance and a pleasure to be there. Loved the Salmon, Eggs and greens with lemon was a new one to me. 5 stars
😒
Food gets overshadowed by abysmal service
First off all, the wait times are bonkers. They should have a reservation system in place.
Secondly, they got my order wrong and were arrogant when I asked for my order to be corrected and replaced. No apology.
And finally, our waitress was quite sluggish, almost comatose, hard to get her attention. Then later a different male waiter just plonked our coffees on the table without asking if we needed sugar and just walked off while I was trying to call him and didn't bother looking back.
Not the same post pandemic.
Team changed completely.
Not in a good way.
