Great NY Noodle Town specialty: roast duck, char siu and roast pig. Cash only of course, on the outskirts of Chinatown on Bowery. If you can see the Manhattan Bridge, you are at the right place (there are similarly named restaurants in Chinatown as well). The menu is placed under the clear glass covering on the table (so you know the table is clean enough for you to see through it haha) and service is really quick. They may not look attentive, but once you wave them down, they quickly come over and take your order. Would recommend the 2-meat combo, picking between roast duck, char siu and roast pig. I feel like the 3-meat combo they automatically shrink the portions since they're giving you more variety. You could always be better off ordering the meats to go and cooking your own rice at home. I came right around mid-Autumn festival and the line was out the door of people getting whole ducks to bring home. Nowadays, I find myself realizing that most Chinese food is just as good in the restaurant as it is at home. You're still supporting the businesses but giving them less stress in worrying about staff shortages, less dishes to clean and less chance of exposure to sickness. Don't forget to tip your favorite restaurants and keep coming back! Ordering directly from the restaurant is best, since delivery services like Grubhub, UberEats, Caviar etc take a percentage of their profits.
