AND HURRY because they are not renewing their lease and will soon close, very sad! They need to find a new location in China Town GREAT WALL 2

I'm perplexed with the status of this Restaurant!!! Used to be my favorite place for Chinese? Only sad thing for me, is the rice and the new Dining concept of eating out of a Styrofoam container, (they've adopted since they re-opened from the pandemic in June of 2021)? Everything is still delicious and their flavor still does not disapoint! I tried for the first time their Beef Chow Mein, which was over the top perfection, only bad thing and this is my biggest Pet Peeve in Chinese Cuisine is..their rice! It is not just broken rice? But Super broken rice to the Max? Ohhhh, very bad... I'm surprised they actually have the nerve to serve this? It's still flavorful, but it looks like you're eating an Oatmeal..The aesthetics is every important to me in Dining out! I wish they could wrap their head around this! I can understand if I was served this rice in a 3rd World country? But come on now! Anyways, I'll give credit where it's due..their Chow Mein is amazing, with plenty of meat in it, and their WonTon soup..another first time trying..had me drooling to finish it Keep in mind, I don't know if this is their regular portions in the Combination Dinner Special? Buy hey my friends, it's good for 3 people easily! Lucky for me, as I am just one person, I have enough for 3 more days of Dinner at home! I don't usually re- heat food, but this one is worth it!! I don't recommend Dining in anymore while they're still on their Styrofoam container kick, and the ambiance for Dining-in is Poor. Their service by just by this one lady, Linda that is so gracious, & that for me.. makes up for it! So just do Take Out..I've mentioned it here before. Just keep doing it...If you like broken fried rice..Go for it! If not, just order their Quart of main dishes seperately.. Great Wall, get yourself some quality rice, and some sturdy paper plates atleast.. you've got a huge following of repeat customers..believe me, they're worth every Grain!

The place is a little simple gem. I would visit again when in Vegas

Ok so the last time I ordered from here the food was terrible. There was a complaint that there was roaches in there restaurant which definitely scared me off. Overpriced for that nasty food that should've been free. Idk how this place is on the list for one of the best places to get Chinese food from in Vegas. Hands down kungfu Thai restaurant on valley view and spring mtn. has everyone beat on taste, service and atomosphere
Be the first to ReplyI like this place.
Overall the food is good. They just have to update their information because clearly they're closed on the weekend. Did a long drive for nothing.
Be the first to ReplyThe food here is every bit as good as Chinatown restaurants
The food here is every bit as good as Chinatown restaurants in Chicago, NY city or many other cities in the Eastern U.S. With the exception of Seattle and San Fran, and LA; I have been to many Chinese restaurants in Western or Southern states and many have a " frozen dinner" taste. And even in Las Vegas, NO other reasonably- priced Chinese restaurant compares. Kung Fu in Chinatown Vegas is close on some dishes , but there are mostly Thai dishes offered. Very good, but they just don't offer that Chinatown big city take out flavor like the Great Wall does.
Be the first to ReplyFood is still pretty good but COVID screwed many things up.

0 STARS ON CUSTOMER SERVICE! The lady upfront was a smart ass because I got there 5 min before 9. The road around this building is closed for construction & she acts like I was supposed to know that. LOL! So next time people, put a memo up on your website to arrive earlier due to construction BLOCKING THE ENTRANCE!!!!!! DO BETTER!!!!

Small hole in the wall with a PUNCH of FLAVOR!Amazing Food! Amazing Service!! Spring rolls were so punched with flavor, the egg rolls are huge and so so good. Each entree is enough to feed 3 ppl. Amazing flavor! I got the Spicy Mongolian Beef. It had just enough spice and it was blended very well. All the meat was tender and juicy and veggies cooked to perfection. Very nice atmosphere. No loud music or over baring noises. Pricing was great certainly for the area. Bring your friends and visit this amazing gem.
Be the first to ReplyIf I could give 0 stars I would.
I don't understand any of the good reviews, but this food was by far the worst chinese I have ever had in my life.

I appreciate restaurants where the staff is actually hella nice (sincerely). It goes a loooong way. Got the beef and broccoli lunch special and wow you get a ton of food. Space is bugged than it looks from the outside (It's two rooms.) Started getting busier immediately at 12 noon.

Great food quality and service! I usually order the chow mein with 3 different meats (pork, beef, chicken) so I can have leftovers for days.

Are used to get their food all the time when I worked at the local newspaper, but since I moved across town I haven't driven over there. They've got an outstanding pork, foo young that I will drive in for from the north west side. Excellent food.
Be the first to ReplyCustomer service was great and fast as well so I hate that
Customer service was great and fast as well so I hate that I have to give them two stars but in all honesty, the food was not as tasty as I thought it would be. This restaurant was recommended to me through several people on an app called neighborhood. I've been looking for good authentic Chinese food since I moved here seven years ago, something similar to what I've been used to have them back home in Oregon. Unfortunately I ended up wasting $54 on this food. The golden fried shrimp was more dull then shrimp and extremely greasy. The egg foo yong was not bad and the shrimp fried rice was just OK. I'd also ordered the shrimp with lobster sauce, not sure exactly where the lobster was in that entrée that I didn't get any nice size shrimps, but there is zero taste. Unfortunately I would not recommend this restaurant, nor would I ever order from them again and see if the food is just not worth the money spent I would've been better off going to panda express.
Be the first to ReplyMy favorite Chinese food joint in all of Vegas.
Have been going back for years and years. Sometimes you might even run into the Mayor and the former Mayor. Always delicious, always friendly.
Be the first to ReplyA quick bit place come with good food with lower price.
After many of alls nice atmosphere fancy meals , good lower a hold in a wall with casual food some times

Super friendly staff and the food was amazing. Would highly recommend!
Be the first to ReplyLooking at the reviews I had high hopes but unfortunately
Looking at the reviews I had high hopes but unfortunately this place was terrible. I ordered the Kung Pao chicken (lunch portion) and Pepper Beef (lunch portion) they both come with a spring roll and fried rice. I also ordered the large egg roll. First the chicken was definitely old tasting, the fried rice was just plain awful, old, no veggies or flavor in it. The beef wasn't too bad, and the sauce was decent. But those big egg rolls....what were they thinking?? Big, greasy, flavorless, definitely not what I was expecting. The only thing worst than the food was the service. I'm from Chicago and was hoping to find anything close to Chicago Chinese food, this food wasn't even in the same stratosphere.
Be the first to ReplyThis is our favorite Chinese restaurant.
Food is also served piping hot and delicious. I only wish they were open on weekends. The egg rolls are phenomenal!!! I literally crave them! We have also tried the chicken fried rice, crab rangoons and mongolian beef. We never leave disappointed. Keep in mind that this is a small establishment and there is usually only one person working to take orders for in-house and telephone customers so plan accordingly. If you're in a hurry, phone ahead and then pick it up. There is a bit of a wait if you dine in, but it's not unreasonably long. Overall, this place is a 10 out of 10 and it's highly recommended!
Be the first to ReplySo I do have to start by saying this is a hole in the wall
So I do have to start by saying this is a hole in the wall restaurant was not the nicest not the cleanest but heyy l still have it a try there was only 3 parties in the restaurant I was the 3rd took like 15m to get our drink order there was 1 server... she then took our order the soup was just bland the rice a lil burnt or tasted burnt and the ribs where a lil hard... and only paper plates and utensils I do have to add there was only 1 server maybe she was taking phone orders im not sure but she was nice.. prices where normal about 37 for everything
Be the first to ReplyThis used to be our go-to Chinese restaurant for lunch
This used to be our go-to Chinese restaurant for lunch specials and for when we wanted soup when one of us was under the weather, but we moved to Spring Valley in 2017. (We've found one decent one in our neighborhood.)I'm so glad that we were in the area yesterday (the outlet mall) and decided to come here for lunch. Lucy, the server, remembered us, because we'd been customers for years (we've only seen two other people run the restaurant, handling orders). We asked her how business was, and noticed that during lunch, there were more takeout orders than dining-in customers (there were at least four to-go orders while we were there and two parties dining in). According to her, it was slow. (It's near UMC so there is usually someone in scrubs ordering food here too. It's across from the Omelet House.) Over the years, we've tried many items on the menu. We've brought a bunch of people here too, over the years. The lunch special is $7.50. We usually split an order of Beef & Broccoli but I wanted something different and so did our son. So, we ordered the chicken chow mein (hubby's favorite). Everything is served in disposables. A generous serving of the main dish along with fried rice and an eggroll. We also got egg drop soup to split and share. We also requested crunchy noodles. Mmm, we enjoyed lunch. Our son is really picky with fried rice but he requested seconds. Yes, we had leftovers. I really like the quality of meat, as there are no biting into tendons or knuckles or other undesirable traits. I know with certain cuts of meat, that is expected. I just prefer coming here rather than going to another mediocre Chinese restaurant, or to Panda Express, for that matter. The vegetables are crisp-tender. The rice is perfect. The eggroll is perfect. Hubby will tell you he prefers this restaurant to PF Changs. I don't consider this a hole in the wall, when there are two parts to this dining room. We've got to come back more often!!!
